Who says he's a step up from Okafor? By my observation of him, I'd rate him as good but no better.

Love Okafor, but always injured or not able to complete 90mins. Vargas is really steady and reliable, but feel we have other priorities first.

I hope he does, because he did well in the Championship and I think he can do the same in the Premier League. He's never going to be the best defender in the league, but he does offer something going forward and would add something as a squad player.
