Question for the ITK's, is DF blocking Igor Paixao transfer? Seems Sunderland are now close or is this poppycock?

The thing blocking Paxo is the price. Even though Marseille have lowered their expectations, he'd still cost more than we can afford. If we'd only spent £25M on a new goalkeeper instead of £40M, we might have had enough left in the kitty to afford him or someone else in that price bracket.

We've probably slightly exceeded our SCR of 85%, and although we've still about 25% leeway left this season before there are serious penalties, I don't think there will be any major outlays unless Willie G goes.
It does leave some freedom in the January window.
I would hope, though, that there are a couple of loan deals in the last couple of days, as we are short in some areas.

Should stay well clear of Paixao. Pretty clear last summer and this, that he doesn't really want to play with us.
What we need desperately is another LWB, a striker and another CB.
Not looking good this late in the window, which will be very disappointing. They messed up late on last summer, and we are heading for a repeat after so many good signings early doors.

I am confused, guys. If DCL remains fit, he is surely our main striker under Farke's current system. Are we trying to find an upgrade for Farke or someone who's happy to act as cover/substitute? At this point in our growth, I am not sure what the boss has in mind.

Wow, if this is true, it's ground-breaking. Eyes are waiting for flight radar tomorrow for LBA and Leeds East. Really scared, we are over-stretching ourselves here, and expectations of a drive towards Europe will be high if we are to maintain our kudos and achieve our stadium goals. I used to enjoy watching Leeds in the Championship, attacking style, with threats from lots of areas. I think his confidence is knocked from trying to attack at home and trying to pinch a goal away from home. It's very much risk and reward, and he has to be braver this year with the little bit of quality we have bought.
Still a ways to go though, it's a marathon, not a sprint, I hope he can establish the Championship days when teams were s*** scared of us home and away..MOT.
