Struck lucky. Was watching the England match when I realised there was a documentary on watching paint dry on the other channel. Watched that instead. Far more interesting. Omg. How boring was that crap. It’s the first game of whole World Cup.
SBS didn’t offer a highlights of the game. Jeez.

Yep, agreed. England, in this particular match, were neither good nor entertaining..

Still way better than watching the very ordinary Aussies, though Aus.

No talented players like the Vidukas and Kewells in that team.

Perspective, Aus. It was one match.

In the previous England match, we scored 4 goals against a decent Croatia team, in what was widely considered a (very) entertaining match.

It was a crap match somehow littered with 6 goals. Did you see it, Baz? Absolute bs first half, with a 3-10 second half. Didn't think you were that easily pleased. Very entertaining. Get a grip, chap.

Also they got away with conceding a fairly obvious penalty. I said the other day that I thought that some refs from small countries were too inexperienced to handle games like this, and in this case we got away with one thanks to the Honduran ref.

It was an awful and boring match. Farke not the only German who can't break down a low block. England actually lucky not to have had Pickford sent off and to have given away a penalty.

I thought that ref was very poor in officiating that game from the very start. He allowed the Ghanaians to play the dark arts, spoiling tactics that were very borderline. It's what makes the game a boring spectacle.

The ref should have dished out a lot of yellow cards in the first 20mins to stop the Ghanaians making it a non-entertaining game.

England might be up against Cape Verde after the group stage, which might be a very similar game.
