Not sure I would agree gk is the most important position.

Midfield general, striker, and then goalkeeper in that order.

Bremner, then Clarke, more important than Harvey / Sprake.

1) genuinely seeking to sign a striker this window ( and a Left back for that matter too)

And

2) what if any of the considerable Trafford outlay transfer fee and wages impacts on this ( if at all.

I don't know, unfortunately, as mentioned previously, it was just my role to be in certain places at certain times, and that's how I found the information out. I used to get to sit in the directors lounge on game days, not the proper one full of owners, but the one next to it with the players' families and owners' invites.

I would be up at Thorpe Arch with the players most days, so I just saw and heard things, but as mentioned, no1 ever really told me anything direct. And, I'm no longer there, which is frustrating whilst watching all these rumours, and I'm wondering if they are true. haha.
