Only a turkey would blame Farke for losing that game.
I had serious doubts that we would win this game before, but as I've said in a previous post, it was the intention and effort that I wanted to see from the players, and we delivered that.

At two nil up that was never a penalty in a million years. With a blind, London-loving club referee, what can you do? But that gave Chelsea's A team, against our B, the momentum to drive at us very hard.

They have the talent in their ranks to hit the target on first effort.

I'm not despondent about the result or the scoreline, tbh. I truly believe, especially at Elland Road this season, we will beat them.

Sorry op, it was a pk all day long. Why even step on his foot in the first place? I think we all expected a tough game, but we all saw the changes they made at the half, so why not counter those changes and see where the game goes.

We all knew there were a couple of players that would not go the full 90, so why not have the subs up and ready after the pk - it's about reading the game and knowing your players, and if the intent was to never win the game, then why make all the changes after we go 4-2 down.

Fair response CA, but for me Farke was making those changes at 3-2 down and they scored just before those changes were made.

Look, I understand, and in foresight you could say Farke should have made the changes at half time like Chelsea did.
But what message does that send to the players you trusted in the first half?
I'm sorry, but I'm totally behind Farke for sticking with his players who caused Chelsea a lot of problems in the first half.



The most important thing for me was that we could compete and cause Chelsea problems, which we did on their turf.
Don't focus so much on the scoreline because it looks like we were mauled, which definitely was not the case.

As I said at Elland Rd I fancy us winning against a Chelsea team that has a weak defense.
