I don't think it's too much to expect to beat palace at home. It's not over achieving. It doesn't mean we will qualify for Europe. Dress it up how you like. Don't run before you can walk etc etc.
on form we should have won. We didn't. We were rubbish. That's not acceptable. At home. V palace.

I'm sure Arsenal expected to beat Brighton, and Forest to Coventry, But this is Football. We had an off day, it happens. As irritating as it is to not beat palace, we didn't play great but we still took a point from the game. Maybe we shouldn't bother playing Arsenal after the break and just give them the 3 points.

We didn't lose either Aus, we are on an unbeaten run which not even Arsenal can brag about.
No games in the Premiership are a given, home or away. You are welcome to think differently.

There's no way Arsenal thought Brighton away was a gimme. In saying that they definitely didn't expect a proper thumping!

Credit where its due; Palace were very good vs what they've displayed so far in the EPL, and looked better still because we were off it. They still couldn't beat us tho! Unbeaten, sitting pretty in 5th, looking strong defensively.
My biggest concern, personally, is the impact this utterly ridiculous, brinking on scandalous, international break has on us!

I'd rather just give Arsenal 3 points mez. Preserve our goal difference. There are hard home and away games. But I'm pretty sure everyone had this chalked as 3 points. Everyone. We got 1.

It was a disappointing afternoon, that's for sure. Unfortunately quite a few didn't turn up at all. Thankfully the defence did in the main.

I know after the Newcastle game, there was a lot of expectation, but Palace are no mugs and are a hard working solid team. They've picked up 3 trophies in the last 12 months.

In my view, the way we were playing [not], I was fully expecting a defeat and on another day, e. g. last season, that was exactly the game we would have lost.

Perversely, I think had their goal stood, we might have picked up in the last 30 minutes and still got a draw, had that been the case, the comments this morning might have been a bit different, even though it would still be 2 points dropped.

One our "esteemed" posters said we had to get 4 points from our two home games, we did that.

I expect us to be a lot better v Arsenal.

I did indeed Ani say we needed and I expected to get ( minimum ) 4 points from the Newcastle and Palace games.

So all in all satisfactory.
