DCL, Stach and Okafor all doubtful for the weekend.
Nmecha Wilson and new French geezer to come in?

DCL is the outfield player we will struggle badly this seez without.

#flawedtransferwindow.

Feels like with or without DCL we are set up to first of all not lose and if we nick a win great or we face an opposition like Newcastle that have a nightmare first half defensively we can take advantage but the times we are lucky to have an opponent that implodes are few and far between in the EPL as every team outside the top 4 or 5 set up similarly to Leeds not to lose.

Farke imo could afford to be more daring by playing a back 4 and having an extra attacker in a 4 3 3 formation. Therefore if DCL is missing we can at least play our only other centre forward with two wingers either side and a strong solid midfield 3 infront of a much better defense this season with TM and just one more CB alongside him and that way we have much more chance of worrying the opposition and scoring goals and more focused and set up to actually win the game.

Good post Cheshire as ever. Yes, against weaker teams a 4 3 3 formation esp at home is a good shout.

We all knew we would struggle if dcl went awol Baz didn't we. Just the owners that were willing to gamble on that.
Neither Okafor or stach have been great so no loss there unless he replaces stach with Longstaff.

I expect formation to be the same.
It would indeed be nice to see the French lad start corkey but no chance of that.
Would prefer gruev French guy and gnonto ?
Will be ba namecheck and James most like.

A gamble indeed Aus ;

Leeds went from making a formal offer for striker JSL in January

yet then perversely signed no striker at all in summer window when our one and only back up striker is Nmecha who hasnt scored I believe for a very large amount of matches

Praying that DCL will be fit for Sunderland.

Despite the rumous, I'll not be surprised if DCL, Stach and Okafor are all fit to play. Rather than a 4:3:3, I'd prefer to keep the current back 5 but go from 3:5:2 to 3:4:3 still having 2 wing backs but sacrificing one midfielder (say Stach) for an extra forward (say Wilson) .

Assuming everyone fit bar Rodon, my lineup:
Trafford
Gary, Elvis, Justin
Gabby, Amps, Tanaka, Bogle
Okafor, DCL, Wilson.
Poss subs in 2nd half:
Bahoya for Okafor
DJ for Wilson or Bogle
Bijol for Elvis or Justin or Gary
Stach or Gruev for Amps or Tanaka
Nmecha for DCL
Bard for Gabby.

I think DCL and Stach will probably be available on Sunday! Both bruises rather than muscle injuries! Would like to see Bahoya get some decent time!
Interesting stats about Gabby.
1st of 130 defenders for ball carrying and 7th for crossing! Very underrated player!

We are better this season than last with our recruitment better goalkeeper and addition defender we have to be positive the team are well drilled play for each other are back there manager we will win top ten it will be. Some have little faith.

If the chances he creates from his crosses are not scored that's not Gabbys fault. I'd say he has a few assist assists where his crosses lead to goals but not directly.

After today's results, if we win tomorrow (possible) , Brentford only draw with Hull (also possible) and Liverpool lose or draw against Brighton (also possible) then we'll be 4th. Probably too many "ifs" there, but who knows.

On the other hand, if everything goes tits up we could be as low as 10th.☹️.

Exactly Corky, playing well and contributing positively to the team does not always show up in goals and assists. Always enjoy watching Gabby bombing forward.

Yep fair point Corky and DDSW.
