Let me be the first to advocate a change of manager and explain why. I know the DF supporters will love me for this but it livens up a boring Sunday so here goes.

Results and performances since we smashed Newcastle is relegation form and DF is slowly but surely returning us to the bottom 6 with his no thrills, risk avert overly defensive style of play.

I think he has taken us as far as he can and is not getting the most out of this squad by continuing to set up in this 3 4 2 1 system where opportunities created are a rarity and the entertainment being offered is turgid and I would say ourselves and Sunderland are the two least attractive sides to watch.

I think defensively we are so much better than last season there is no need to play this system and his refusal to play a back 4 with 3 up front is costing us vital points, six at least so far this season.

Now if Farke has an epiphany before Spurs and starts to see that a back 4 will get the best out of his troops and not have us in a season long relegation scrap then I will be happy for him to continue but I seriously doubt he will do this on Saturday and at best I can see us getting a drab draw and then away at Chelsea and Man. City I think we are likely to suffer defeats which makes the Coventry home game sandwiched in-between an absolute must win.

Wif Leeds don't beat Coventry then that would have to be the time to look for a new manager and ironically DFs final game and defeat could very well be game 13 away at Man. City a year on from his last stay of execution.

If Eddie Howe hasn't taken the Man U job I think he's our man that will get so much more from these Leeds players that look to me like they are not enjoying or comfortable carrying out DF's unambitious instructions.

Fair points Cheshire and the players do look glum playing Farke's uber negative football this seez

Leeds have 9 tough matches ahead till end of December. Will win more than one of them ? Not on present performances.

Not a Bob is Eddie Howe going to be a Leeds Manager anytime soon.

Very well reasoned post Cheshire.

I can see us getting beaten by Coventry the way we are playing. Farke is hugely limited tactically and always has been. We won't get much better if he stays particularly since he also seems to have lost any courage he once had and just set us up not to lose (or to try anyway)

Here we go again, déjà vu, pretty much the same time as last season, the sack Farke claims come from the disenchanted. Who do we get to replace him ? Don't know, maybe anyone it doesn't matter so long as we have a new coach who can take us back directly to the Championship.

Dream on you dreamers of nicking Emery from Villa, and Howe who is 100% going to steer Man Utd into the Championship ?.

Marathe. and Co should have followed through with their intentions to replace Farke last summer but bottled it.

That was the optimum time to do so.

Right now OP, I'd take Bielsa over your dream coach Farke.

Bielsa would get this team much much braver, far more direct, far more potent, scoring aplenty and winning EPL matches.

Baz, you'd take any coach on this planet just so long that it satisfies your Farke out agenda ?
Let's be honest, this is a tad predictable.

Actually OP, Farke has had his moments in the EPL
.Chelsea at home, Man U away.last seez

But it was the cowardly meek FACup semi final performance vs Chelsea which was reminiscent of the abysmal Playoff final vs Saints which put me off him again.

Saints game actually the worst play off final ever I reckon.

You were never a fan of a Bielsa Baz, it's a pointless bait that you are trying to draw me into as you very well know Marcello is still very much revered by many Leeds fans.

Preservation is what we need at this moment in time with a squad with all respect is below average in quality for the Premiership.
Although some seem to think they are good enough to play Champions League.

It's looney time at Leeds again.

Indeed Chrissy the very worst Play Off final
OP.

Bielsa was 4th on my best ever Leeds United manager list that I have posted several times on here

Try again ole chap.

What we need is the balls to drop amps his performances of late have been below par yet DF continues to take AO off every game, who has performed much better than Amps, before I get blasted for daring to criticise our captain let me say he has been one of our best players over the past couple of years and I do rate him, but he is currently in my humble opinion not in the groove as some may say.

I think he just needs a little kick UK the rear, stop acting up and be a tad more careful as he has been a bit fortunate not to have been red carded a couple of times.

13.) 02 Nov 2026
02 Nov 2026 01:44:18
We've got 9 matches til the end of December, of which I'd rate 5 or 6 as winnable, and if we're on 20-25 points by New Years Day then I for one would be reasonably content.
OP, I don't think Eddie Howe is going to "steer Man Utd into the Championship" as you suggest, because I think if he's offered the job he'll turn it down.

Spuds, Coventry Ipswich Fulham home
Chelsea Citeh Liverpool Villa Hull. away

Very tough away games JR.

15.) 02 Nov 2026
02 Nov 2026 06:54:24
If he's got any sense JR he will turn it down but there have been and still is a long list of coach's who would still take the Man United job no matter what.

16.) 02 Nov 2026
02 Nov 2026 13:23:26
All games in this league are tough Baz, but I still rate all the 4 home games plus Villa and Hull away as winnable. 9 games, 27 points to play for, if we get say 14 of them we'll be on 25 by New Years Day which would be OK for me. Last season after 18 games we were on 22.

17.) 02 Nov 2026
02 Nov 2026 14:06:25
14 points JR ?.

So 4 wins 2 draws 3 defeats from those fixtures?!

Far more likely 1 win 3 draws 4 defeats

17 points from 18 matches.

I don't do predictions, so I'm certainly not forecasting 14 points from those 9 games, just saying where we could be if we did that. In this league anyone can beat anyone else, so theoretically all 9 are winnable, but realistically Liverpool, Chelski and Man Cheaty are too big a stretch, so I'm sticking to just the other 6 being winnnable.

I think your 17 point forecast is over pessimistic, but we shall see.

20.) 03 Nov 2026
03 Nov 2026 09:30:40
Yep we shall see.Leeds 17 points from 18.or 20 points if we beat Spuds.
