Such a satisfying sensation when Man U players and coach are booed off the pitch at half time.
I’m almost getting bored in reveling in such abysmal football from them.
But no way will I ever feel sympathy ?

I was going to say we definitely agree on this OP. But it looks like you may have preemptively jinxed it again as Man U have come back from 2 nil down at HT to lead 3 -2.oops

Well at least Raphinha 's talent was way too much for Villa.

Good news that they win Baz, gives Carrick a stay of reprieve, I'm sure the hierarchy were hoping he'd fail tonight to pave the way more smoothly for the Man U fans favorite to be replaced by Howe.

Just gives Carrick's stay of execution a while longer to drag Muck Utd further into the relegation zone.
Happy days as far as I see it.

Long may Carrick remain at Old Trafford - just long enough to take them to the point of no return in the Premiership. :) ) )

Agree your sentiments Cleggy, but I doubt he'll be given that long. Unless there's a marked improvement in the next 2 or 3 games he's toast.

I fear you are right JR.

Be lovely to see them go though!

I'm old enough to remember one of our best seasons ever (the very best IMO) in 1973/74 when we finished as 1st Div champions, and they were relegated.

I think it's a good thing they won too. They got a sniff of a chance after a controversial penalty award and even more controversial retake.

But that squad isn't capable of playing three games in eight days to the intensity they showed in the second half.

Villa were finished by the hour so they took off Manzambi and mcginn on 62 and Jackson for the last 15. Little game management bits like that make the difference in keeping players sharp Vs fatigued.

In such a congested fixture list if you're more than two down to a leading team and a big game at the weekend absolutely rest the stars. Not everyone will agree with that.
