Watching the Newcastle match back on LUTV, the real-time coverage of the incident for their second penalty shows that Isak nudges Firpo in the back with his left hand but had also first dragged him backwards with his right hand and arm, which is what causes Firpo’s arms to go unnaturally high in overbalancing. The replays do not give the angle showing Isak’s right arm, giving the ref the impression that Firpo had voluntarily lifted his arms up before the slight nudge by Isak’s left hand. Total incompetence again from VAR.

Ok. So my dad a gooner. We discussed the firpo penalty.
He said it was a penalty.
I asked this question.
What professional football player in the world would suddenly decide to raise their hand high above their body and commit a hand ball?
There was silence.
The fact of the matter is he was fouled.
Too late now.
Just like people to adapt commonsense. Did firpo all of a sudden think he was a goalie?

Didnt see a foul on Firpo . even if he was pulled back still doesn't explain why on earth him arm was so erect grasping for the ball. the guy isn't the brightest it seems watching him play

Baz - Firpo was not grasping for the ball. If you jump upwards with your hand at about shoulder height and someone pull you backwards, gravitational/ rotational forces tend to cause your arm to extend up/ outwards in that way.

I don’t understand quite why some people expend so much time and effort in trying to see the worst in people, and also trying to convince others to see things the same way.

Yes, Baz, I know you’re alluding to Orta, but as I’ve pointed out several times he did not actually run the Club, and even within his sphere of influence was constrained by financial and other parameters placed on him by Radz and Kinnear.

And, the negative comments about others posting on here led to your temporary exclusion from the site…….

So, again, not really sure what benefit you and others feel excessive negativity has for anyone.
