Leeds close to agreeing a 2yr deal with Darlow and Leeds apparently are his first choice. Leeds now do not have a new keeper as a priority unless a bargain unexpectedly comes up.
Source: Joe Tiffany (who Correctly called the Wilson signing long before anyone else (even WACCOE) ) .

Excellent news (if correct) .

I think Darlow is getting better with age and has to be seen as our first choice keeper next season with Perri no.2, who I think can improve and will have learnt a lot from his first EPL season at Leeds.
Delighted with the Harry Wilson signing, and it looks like Charles is in the pipeline.
I also like the rumours of Brandt on a free, which hopefully his fellow countryman Stach can put in a persuasive word to convince him to sign for us.
Just need another striker, which I think the club have indicated they are interested in a centre forward that is playing in the World Cup.Chris Wood maybe?

Darlow and Charles may be on our wishlist, but they're both on the Man United wishlist, and they can offer more dosh and maybe UCL, so it ain't over til it's over. Also, Brandt is attracting attention from Roma and Atletico Madrid, who again can offer UCL, and his possible preferences are not so easy to read.

Jaysus, JR, you are a cheery ole sole.

Joe Tiffany is a huge wind-up. He didn't have Wilson first; it was all over WACCOE and other chatrooms.
And even that doesn't account for 99% of his stories straight being made up.
Leeds are definitely signing a new starter. One okay half-season doesn't make Darlow better than a career backup.

Lmao, these supposed "ITKs" appear to take themselves very seriously.
So...
If Leeds are 'definitely' looking to sign a new number 1.
I do hope they make a much better choice than the previous calamity gk signings of:
Perri, Meslier, Klaessen, Kiko and Wieldwald..4 signings by Uncle Victor Orta and co.
But the most recent signing being under Paraag, Underwood and Co.

Thinking of centre forwards at the World Cup, weren't we allegedly looking at Promise David last time round?

Apparently the Brandt rumours have nothing in them.

Just watched Switzerland v Canada. Elvedi, who we've been linked with, played the full 90 mins for Switzerland and was mostly Ok, albeit against a mediocre Canada team, except being partly caught out by the cross for the sole Canada goal. Is he worth buying? Hard to say.

We didn't start talks for £30m James Trafford, to then decide to sign no keeper in the space of a couple of weeks. We are signing a starting keeper.

Which Brandt rumours have nothing in them, Alf, the ones that say we're chasing him, or the ones saying that Roma and Atletico Madrid are chasing him, or both?

I'm not convinced that Brandt will end up at Elland Road. I think Farke doesn't think he needs a traditional no. 10, whether he plays 5 at the back or reverts to a back 4 next season.
We can register a 25 man squad and in addition any number of under 21's. If you take last season's players and add on those on loan, then the number is 27, assuming Wilson and Darlow do eventually sign, and Pascal, Gruev and Aaronson extend, loosely defined as 3 keepers, 4 FB, 5 CB, 5 midfield, 8 wingers and 2 strikers.
In addition we are closely linked with Charles and we do need another body up front. So that's 29 if those two happen.
Harrison, Joffy, Wober and Ramz are likely to go, so that's back to 25.
After a new striker and maybe Charles, I can't see much incoming except for like for like replacements, hopefully upgrades on those we sell.

Baz you seem extremely touchy about people giving info for someone who is on this site non-stop
Although that's unsurprising when you're own info is consistently wrong, such as playing down the Wilson transfer non-stop and saying it wouldn't happen for months if it did

Gazza, my hunch was that 2 other far more established EPL clubs were going to be in the mix in at least considering signing Harry after his superb season of G and A.
However, 49ers pulled out what looks like the trump card, though, in offering Harry a Four year contract of over 100, 000 plus a week.
I wasn't expecting that contract length offer.
Fair dos.

Now that the odds on Darlow leaving have shortened, the rumours around Zion Suzuki have resurfaced, but with a EUR40M (£34.5M) price tag attached. Don't see that happening, or Trafford, who'd cost something similar. Ramsdale at circa £12M would seem a more doable option.

I told you it was a 4 year deal days ago, Baz.

Since DCL is our current top earner on £100K per week, it was always reasonable to assume that HW would aspire to nothing less, and for a 4 year deal, so if asked to guess what deal we were offering him, that's what I'd have said. That said, I do not believe that any of those people who've claimed to know the deal on offer knew any more than I did. The only people who knew the deal on offer were the club, the player and his agent, and until the club makes a formal announcement, none of us will know the full details.
The only deals I see coming from now on are:
1 A good striker - hopefully.
2 A goalkeeper but only if Darlow goes.
3 A CB but only if Struijk doesn't sign a new deal.
4 Shea Charles maybe, but then who might go?
I may be being pessimistic, but that's my view. We shall see.
{Ed001's Note - you are wrong, a lot more than that will know the details. There will be solicitors involved drawing up the contract, which will have a staff of legal clerks also heavily involved, then there are the admin staff at the club, the financial staff, accountants etc, who will have had a major input into the deal. There are very few players who only have an agent (Salah is the only one I can even think of right now), usually they are part of an agency such as Gestifute (Jorge Mendes' agency) with a number of different agents/advisors involved in the deal. That is a lot of people involved. It will be even more if a transfer fee is required, as clubs use outside financial companies to provide the up front cash to make the deals. And that is even without considering who the player might speak to, such as parents, friends etc, to get personal advice.}

Just stop arguing about rumours? No one "knows" anything for sure, and your "hunches", Baz, are worth less than those joining this forum to share "the word", as they're personal to you, not something that is passing through the Leeds collective.
You argued against the Wilson rumour, based on your bowel rumblings, and now have an egg dipped face.
20.) 25 Jun 2026

Exactly Bright. If you don't like rumours, then don't read this page, but it's stupid to read about a rumour and then just moan about it. I pass on what I hear from various sources, but they may not turn out to be correct, and transfer business is a complicated affair, with ever-changing factors that can make something that is true at the moment it is posted, false 30 mins later.

Wow Ed, that's a lot longer list than I might have thought, but in principle I think I still have a point. For example, I've worked with many lawyers and accountants in my career, and the ones I've encountered all treated client confidentiality as paramount, and I'd think the club would expect similar standards from anyone working on a deal for them.
Yes, the player can still talk to friends and relatives, and so no deal is totally "leakproof", but if they want to keep it under wraps they can, the deals we often see that seemingly come out of nowhere are evidence of that.
{Ed001's Note - it is normally friends or family or the agents that are the issues. Particularly agents, as they want to invite more offers.}

On the goalkeeper situation, Spuds have now signed Martin Dubravka, and MU are rumoured to now be looking at Angus Gunn, so both may be cooling their interest in KD.
