Why?
Not many clubs buy a 35m player one year and want to sell him the next. If true, there must be a story in there somewhere.

Paxo beef cubes rejected Leeds United last seez. Paxo clearly sees himself as bigger and better than Leeds. He'll be off to another Champions League club, probably Italian.

And, Marathe himself said, in a recent interview, he only wants to sign players who understand and get Leeds.

That, for sure, ain't Paxo.

By the way, Dave, since when did we sign Wayne Rooney? Thought he had long retired to the sanctuary of MOTD punditry.

Marseille were given a small fine in 2022 after they agreed to meet UEFA's sustainability/fair play rules, which they had not been doing.
In the last three years, they've had a deficit of nearly EUR160m, including over EUR100m last season.
They've been hit by falling French TV revenues, and are concerned that they may get a ban from any European competitions.


Paixo may not be wanted at Marseille for a number of reasons, but they need cash; he's had a good season, and he'll be in demand. He probably won't be the only one to go.
