Mudryk on loan to Leeds? So says Sky.

I hope not.

Why not? He would be a great loan signing if we could get him.

Chris Chris says no no.

Wouldn't mind. As it's a loan, it's definitely not a priority problem position, though.

Not played any proper football for a year. Sounds a waste of time like another Buonanotte.

Baz, I think the LW is a high priority position for the club.
Hence, we have had genuine links with
Paixao
Leao
Mudryk

Problem: Okafor is injury-prone, and he did have a run, I believe, of 16 games last season without any G&A.

A loan makes sense, probably with an option/obligation, freeing up money for a 10 or a 9 or both.

One thing's for sure, the next 10 days are going to be interesting.

Fair post, Dave, re Okafor's injury record. Willy plays LW. Largie too if Leeds don't sell him.

Striker and LB more pressing.

Largie is going, as he's not got a squad number.
Willie G could go, but the financial gain wouldn't be great, as Zurich have a 40% sell on clause.
Mudryk has kept fit, with double sessions six days a week, away from Chelsea.

He's not match sharp, but it appears he has looked after himself. He'd be a good alternative to Okafor, but Chelsea want a straight loan with no obligation. They want to see whether he can get back to the player he once was.

Sounds like the disagreement is more about Leeds guaranteeing lots of game time. Coventry probably get him if we don't. He has expressed preference to Leeds. There might be a converted utility left wing back there, given he would have lcb cover.

Okafor would always be chosen over Mudryk, but Okafor is not generally a 90mins player, so Mudryk, if he did come, would come on as sub in most games.
If Okafor, like last season, had few injury breaks, then Mudryk would hardly start a game, which I imagine Chelsea would not be happy with.

I can see why Leeds might be interested in loaning him for the season as cover for Noah, but I'm not convinced he's the right player for Leeds.
