How bad was Longstaff in the first half?
One of the worst performances I’ve seen in a while.

Longstaff is on a yellow now too.. Sub him for Stach, pronto, Farke.

Cork was one of our best players in preseason. Think he's a player that needs games, but it's going to be hard to dislodge Stach. To be fair, he did set up the first goal for DJ.

Yes, Longstaff wasn't good apart from his pass to Dan James for the first goal. I thought DJ worked hard, and AO was ok apart from his silly yellow card. The big plus was the defence. Trafford showed his ability, Elvedi looked comfortable, Gary strolled through the game, and Joe R was his usual committed self, especially with his tackle on Wood.

We still need a bit more up front, but you can't knock a second win away at Forest.

Yes, fair play, it was a nice pass for James' goal.
Class, as for pre season cmon mate, that doesn't mean anything.

Preseason meaningless games, Corkey. I just meant he got more minutes. I have noticed the same with AO and Willy too. They need consistent minutes to produce their best selves.

That being said, Elvis strolled through his first game at CB, which rather destroys my theory!

We need to be more explosive going forward. That Chelsea player will give us that. Get him signed, buy him, don't loan buy.

Not sure I want to criticize individual players from last night's game. For me, we are looking much stronger than we did last season.
Elvedi is slotting in seamlessly, Maharemovic and Rodon are dominating, and Trafford looks unbeatable with two clean sheets.
In attack, we weave combinations of passing, which, for me, have a lot more accuracy and purpose than last season.



To pick faults is unnecessary nitpicking in a team/squad that is slowly developing into a good Premiership outfit.

I'd say, from what I've seen so far, we are definitely on the right track.

Better choice or better passing going forward, where a match for anyteam looked comfortable all game last night. Clean sheet is always great for moral mot. Brentford be a big test mot.

The reason I posted was Longstaff was so bad, he stood out in the first half. How dare I say such a thing!

You could have quite as easily pointed out that Dan James, Tanaka, Trafford and the whole back line was very good in the first half, but you were, perhaps, waiting for all of them to be good before sharing that with us?

Unfortunately I can't legislate for Longstaff being an absolute, average, mediocre player.
That is my opinion, and if that gets you going, well, what can I do?
