Farke's changes cost us the game tonight.

I'm not saying we'd have definitely won, but he was so late making the changes.

He does well and obviously deserves a lot of praise when things go right. But we had a chance to come away with the win here.

Ealing, do you really think in your heart of hearts that when Chelsea brought on their A team at half-time that we were going to saunter on to a comfortable 2 or 3 nil?

What I do believe is that, in a full-blooded Premiership game, with all players present, they will find a different story against our team.

This was a Cup game that pivoted on a dreadful referee's decision.

I'm not looking for excuses; it's just the way football works when the momentum swings, and Chelsea made it work for them.
They got their luck tonight, and that's football as far as I'm concerned.

By the way, our fans were awesome. I sometimes thought it was Elland Road by the noise we were making, especially at 4-2 down W ⚓️'s. ? ??

Opti, again it was a clear penalty - blame James for it - he didn't have to stand on the guy's foot. The team was not ready for the subs they made, pretty clear.

Your opinion, mate. Very soft penalty decision in my view, 8 or 9 times out of ten that is not given. Ref felt he had to give it because it was the home team and Chelsea, of course.

There's barely a toe on his foot if you watch it. Their players were hitting the deck with the slightest of touches, no surprises really!
Sadly because we lost, everyone wants to slag off our team without any real solid justification.


Just a general moan is all. Wtf!
Lot of fans on here love to slam everything Leeds when we lose, even when we don't deserve it!
Really saddens me.

Soft penalty to give, yes, but DJ shouldn't even be putting his foot near the guy at that point. Stupid decision by the ref, but daft by James. Gave them all the momentum unnecessarily.

Seems they get their luck every time we play them. Don't blame the ref, the buck stops at our door. However, I enjoyed the game. They had better players than us coming on and should have got more in the first half, but it is what it is.

Farke needs to find a way of playing 90 minutes like the first half. Well done to them, move on.

I'm not sure the ref saw it in real time. It was a case of theatrics from the Chelsea player, and James holding his hands up made up his mind. The ball was lost, and I don't think VAR (2026 version!) would have interfered.

I do agree James should have been more careful. It was unnecessary, and the game completely turned on Palmer's spot kick goal.
I don't know if it would have changed the result in the end, but it certainly didn't help us.
I'm sure Farke was annoyed with that.

In my heart of hearts, did I think we would win. Probably not. But I thought with the changes at 1-2 or even 2-2 we had a chance to win it. That's all. We had to try and make a few more niggly fouls or just disrupt the momentum more than we did. Only Amps really tried to do that.
