Chelsea have a squad value of £1.08 billion! Which is a 20% reduction. Our squad value £407 million, which sounds excessive, but the equivalent of running a Mini in F1 and being puzzled why we’re not doing better.

We’re already punching well above our expectations and improving every season.

The unacceptable capitulation of conceding 6 goals in 40 mins should not be downplayed by transfer fee expenditure of Chelsea.

Why, Baz? You sighted our own expenditure as a reason we shipped 6 goals; hence you downrated "our window."

Someone said last night, "Chelsea taught us a lesson in player signings..".

What you saying, Class, we shouldn't play big boys games?

Like, perhaps they should be feeling by conceding three goals at their ground with all that very expensive talent.

Six nil would've been a lot harder to swallow than 6-3. You are reading too much into the number, Baz.

Class is right. You are not giving the players the credit they deserve. We are doing a lot better than one Cup game away where both teams made huge changes in personnel.

Get over it!

No, Ani. I downrated our window because I am now doubtful Farke plays JMB much, so potentially somewhat a waste of a signing. Plus, the signing of Zet looks dubious.

Conceding six goals in 35 to 40 mins, OP, that's a defensive capitulation not previously ever happened to a Leeds United team. Well, not since 1929, apparently.

Farke said he was about to bring him on, but Bard said he had cramp, so he couldn't, as Gudmonson was his last sub.

You're classic Baz, before Darlow played a game for us, he was "finally a proper keeper." then he plays his first game and "he should be sent back to Newcastle." then it becomes "Leeds made a terrible mistake letting him go." I suspect our new keeper will be considered the same.

You change your mind about players like you make predictions, that being, plenty, often after the event, and seldom right!

Who cares? As I've said before, it's not a reflection of how we have started this season and how we are playing.
You are only judging it in a black and white context, which is a very blinkered view.

No Whitey, far from it. I thought my post was clear, I’m saying we’re already punching well above expectations, we’re unbeaten and have given a very good account of ourselves.

I am saying you’re not comparing pears with pears when the other teams can bring on £300million pounds worth of talent, and that we should not be surprised nor too critical that a Leeds team containing eight changes struggled so badly.

It’s not FIFA 27, the likes of Danny Welbeck would walk to Chelsea for what they’re probably paying him on a two year deal, and at this stage he wouldn’t pick up the phone to us.

BUT when we have our best team out we can give anyone a tough game. I’m in agreement with Optui's earlier post, as long as I see the team fighting, playing for the shirt, that’s always enough for me.

Technical brilliance is a little above our spending budget just now, but one or two excellent signings every season and we’ll get there.

Totally get it when people say they want it now and better players now, we all do, but perversely squad wise we've never had it so good for the last 18 or so years.
