Well that was an interesting afternoon football watching,

QPR were exceptional this afternoon andfirmly deserved their win, Chair best player on pitch could have scored a couple more, but the edginess and nerves from home supporters is transferring to their team.

Saints dominated against 10 man Brum but still needed the last minutes of nine extra minutes and who was at fault for not clearing the ball…. Cody Drameh! Ref was atrocious drove the home fans mad, hardly surprising though he was truly awful.

Plymouth were terrible today, just not up for it, but honestly Ipswich were not much better with the OG and their repeated fouling the deciding factor when they were both cancelling each other out in a very poor game.

What these games reminded me?

Anybody can beat anybody in this marathon beast of a league and 28 points out of 30 is a fantastic return,

We just need to bounce back, and having watched all those games I think the Foxes supporters will be the most worried.

Spot on summary Class?
There’s going to be a bit of toing and froing till the end of the season, especially I would say the last five games where the nerves will be tested.
Still think we’ll end up Champions.

02 Mar 2024 17:58:59 Ipswich have the R word - resilient keep getting results after 35 game. and virtually all Champo teams ( apart from Leeds ) are not able to beat them.

Excellent post class. We were 6 points behind the leaders at the start of the day, now we’re only 5. We have beaten both top two home and away . Still fancy us to win this league. Ipswich still have to go away to Cardiff, Blackburn, Norwich and Coventry and have to play Southampton at home. Must beat stoke at home on Tuesday.

It was really useful to tune into all the games, of all the teams I watched this afternoon QPR were the most impressive! They are unbeaten in their last eight games now but remain on 38points the same as Stoke sitting in 22nd.

But you’re right about resilience and Ipswich and Keifer Moore made the difference in what was a very poor game only Liam miller looked up for it for a very poor Plymouth team today and should have scored hitting the post instead. The one thing that separates Ipswich from ourselves, Foxes and the Saints is they shoot on sight from any distance or hit Moore, much more route one but it’s getting results…. for now.

Must beat Stoke next, but today showed the importance of scoring first and ideally early as substantial time level (coupled with poor standard of refereeing) gives these lower teams incredible impetus in which to beat the bigger sides.

Great original post and great analysis

Baz you have me down as millwall but at least they come from the best place on the planet south London.

You seem to be an Ipswich fan which makes no sense as I went to Ipswich once and it was shut.

Ipswich have only lost 4 matches which makes them the hardest team to beat so far on current form they will win the League.

Entirely logical thinking Gelderd. despite numerous people dismissing Ipswich

Ipswich are now imo arguably in best position ( of all 4 teams) to come 1st with current points tally AND remaining fixtures ( in comparison to Leicester, Leeds and Southampton)

Its gonner be very close and a couple of positions decided by Goal difference.
