Leeds have agreed a fee with Brighton of £20mil for Pascal Struijk.

The club had little choice as the player refused to sign a new contract.
As usual, though, Leeds United have totally undervalued one of their better players.
When will this club ever learn?

Said he wants a new challenge, and better sell now than a free next year, thought £20mil was fair for a player in his last year of contract.

Think it min 5 mill short and Shae can bugger off at 30. Move on.

Agreed, Aus, there's definitely better on the continent than Charles, and cheaper.
Maybe we have to overpay for the home-grown quota? If that's the case, sign Josh Doig as the backup left-back rather than overpay for a player who has never played top-flight football.

I like Struick and he has been a good servant to the Club, but given the situation, £20m now is better than nothing in 12 months. Brighton must really want him, so I hope we get some add on clauses in the deal.

Brighton do really want him, Feath.
Spoke to my Brighton coaching mate yesterday, says they were in for him last season but we weren't ready. It's the fact that he's left footed and the relatively cheap price tag was the big draw, plus he is very keen on the move apparently.
He's been a great servant imo, but given contract situation we have to keep evolving. This is exactly what the likes of Brighton and Brentford do to continually evolve and grow.
My mate gutted about Van Hecke going though as he's worried that Dunk has lost any pace he had, Webster leaving after repeatedly being injured, and Pascal is certainly not the quickest defender.
What's that young player Baz is always going on about, Crosswill, Cresswith, Charlie, someone?

Exactly Class, buy him back from Toulouse, and save 15% on the price through the sell on clause.

Thanks, Class. An interesting thought re Charlie Cresswell.

Come on Aus, 5 million short you say for a player you have slammed many, many times?
If he's as bad as you have stated, you should be saying it's the best business we've ever done!

He is bad, Canada, and won't start 10 games next season. Just saying, push the price up. Why not.

Because we are in a no win situation, Aus.
He can stay and leave for nothing in a year, padding his own pocket and messing up ours.
Win-win, selling him now for a decent fee.

Talking about now, Canada. He is worth the going rate. More than 20. Next year, on a free, worth nothing. He is crap. Get top dollar, like other clubs do. You like giving money away.

We have got more than top dollar for what you believe is a useless player!
You can't eat your cake and have it too, Aus, so pick one. We sold cheap, or he's not very good anyway.
You're probably upset that we won't be paying Fulham a fee for Wilson, which must mean he's not that good either!

As we are team evolving, where will we end up next session? Not 8th, it would seem. See if we can get goods odds.
