Good point today but definitely feels like two points dropped.
Does anyone else feel Trafford should have done better for their goal? Maybe I'm being harsh?

Trafford, without doubt, earned us a point; without him, we would have lost that game.
Calvet, Lewin or Stach failed to win us the three points on the day, but great performance by our players. A point is a very good result for us.

Should've been 2 or 3 up by half time, but the old weakness of not taking enough of our chances came back to bite us again. Still not sure whether Tanaka's "goal" was offside or not, maybe MOTD will resolve the issue later tonight.

The Brighton goal was a very poor one to give away, failing to cut out a simple corner to the back post. And referee Atwell was a crock of s***.

Atwell was dreadful in the first half, the whole game in fact. He couldn't keep his whistle out of his mouth; so many poor decisions. He spoiled a good game, in my estimation. I think a draw was a fair result in the end, but had the ref let the game flow more than I think it would have ended in our favour.

Tanaka's goal was shown to be off-side by VAR. It was 3-4" of his arm, so very close.
Tanaka also hit the bar. Stach had a great chance too, but DCL's weak shot, after rounding the keeper, was the easiest to score imo.
Could easily have won, but happy with a point for sure.

Trafford was impeded for the goal, whether enough for a free kick, I'm unsure. However, the goal was scored from inside his six yard box, and I feel he will be disappointed with conceding the goal. Keepers should be commanding their six yard area, but with the amount of bodies and pulling n shoving n blocking, not so easy these days.

Canada, I've just seen the computer generated freeze frame for the Tanaka "goal", and it shows the shoulder of Tanaka's outstretched arm roughly level with the elbow of the last Brighton player. By the ridiculous process by which these things are now adjudicated, he is technically offside by a few inches, so I cannot criticise the officials, but I can, and do, disagree with the process. As long as IFAB stubbornly sticks to this moronic "computer says No" method, we'll continue to see such incidents, there was another one yesterday in the Fulham v Crystal Palace game.

Last year Arsene Wenger suggested changing to having to see "clear daylight" between the players, and that seems perfectly reasonable to me. OK, I'll come down off my soapbox now. Those who have access to the full match replay on LUTV, like me, can see the computer simulation for themselves, it's at 52 mins 30 secs on the match clock.
