9 games to go, and we play Spuds, Hammers, Wolves and Burnley - we win 3 of those and we should be safe.
12 Mar 2026 17:31:41
And unfortunately, each one of those games will be proverbial Cup finals! Mega pressure! Let's see how the lads hold up under that, and the hefty burden of expectation that comes with the shirt on those occasions!
12 Mar 2026 19:42:09
Quietly (very) confident of a 15 point return from our remaining games.
12 Mar 2026 20:41:35
Yes, please, Class.
We just need a win under our belts, and the confidence will start to flow again. Hopefully, our victory (albeit in the Cup against Championship opposition) will be the kick start we need. :)
12 Mar 2026 20:46:11
I hope you're right, Class. I see staying in this season as potentially a bigger "turn the corner" moment for the club than we potentially had within reach under Marcelo, in that we have better owners and long-term plans that will galvanise the future of the club. I agree that we can, and should, do it, but we're gonna have a few more twitchy rings before it's confirmed!
11 Mar 2026 16:30:18
RIP Roger Speed.
11 Mar 2026 21:16:27
Some people put down the whole of football.
To me, the football community is a great thing.
Feath's post above says so much.

No man should have to go through what he had to.
11 Mar 2026 09:27:03
A British couple are walking down a street in Tenerife.
They turn a corner and see a sign that says,
'Billy's Bar - ALL drinks β¬0.10' π»
They look at each other and then go in, thinking, this is too good to be true.
They order a pint of lager and a cocktail and sure enough once the drinks are on the bar the English bartender says that'll be 20 cents please! πΊπΉ
The couple can't believe their luck. They finish their drinks and order the same again. Sure enough the drinks are poured and the barman says;
"That'll be 20 cents please! "
Curiosity gets the better of them and the woman asks the barman how he can afford to sell drinks so cheaply π€¨
The bartender says "It was always my dream to own a bar in Tenerire and last year I won Β£109 Million on the Euro Millions so i opened this bar and i've got enough money that i don't have to worry about making any profit.
"
Happy with the story the couple congratulate him and order another round of drinks πΉπΊ
As the man is drinking his pint of lager he can't help but notice three old blokes sat in the corner who've been sat there without a drink the whole time they've been in.
"What's the deal with them three over there? ' π€The man asks the bartender.
"Those are three of my regulars, they're retired blokes from Yorkshire. They're waiting for Happy Hour when the drinks are half price! '.

π€£ Good 'un, Alfie, pal.
11 Mar 2026 12:10:30
Read more interesting posts, Alf. Bit boring, mate. lol.
12 Mar 2026 08:04:25
Good one, Alf, especially as I actually know someone like that, may I borrow it, please.. lol.
12 Mar 2026 14:59:31
I did, Revie, so feel free to go ahead.
11 Mar 2026 08:09:21.
I'm trying to think of an occasion in the past 60 odd years where I have seen a worse piece of man management than that of Igor Tudor and his poor keeper (Kinsky) last night!
Criticise your number one keeper, drop him, throw in a young kid against Athletico Madrid away from home, hook the poor kid after 17 minutes and then replace him with the guy you've just dropped?
And worse still, didn't even say anything to him as he came off the pitch!
God knows we've had a few poor managers in charge of us over the years but this guy is in a league of his own!
11 Mar 2026 08:33:38
Seen a few interviews with Tudor after matches. What a miserable so and so. He's obviously got spuds not playing as a team. Keep him, I say.
11 Mar 2026 09:10:56
It really is like watching a slow motion car crash. I thought, initially, Spuds would have too much to go down, but my word they are falling apart more each week!
11 Mar 2026 12:12:41
It was a hilarious decision re goalie. But, my mate said, he went online, and before the game Spud fans were so pleased he was picked. They are so bad, atm, that it could be our get out of jail free card. Let's hope so. Spuds in the Championship. My oh my.
11 Mar 2026 19:52:18
It was awful, Cleggy, but reminded me of Spanish (where has he gone, big miss) .
Back when our own Ted Lasso, Jesse, was berating his own coaching staff for a lack of confidence in the team at ER and Spanish was heard on camera, shouting "it's your effing job to instil confidence in the team".
Still makes me smile.
11 Mar 2026 21:47:04
Brilliant, Class. ) ) )
10 Mar 2026 15:16:54
I've just noticed that three of my last four comments have been deleted and maybe even more. What's the reason?
{Ed033's Note - You submitting, "I'm still mad." and another post, "Still fuming." isn't worth posting. You need to post stuff worth posting.
10 Mar 2026 18:12:27
MoT, detention for you, write out 100 times Leeds will survive easily and win the FA Cup. π
10 Mar 2026 18:30:02
I've noticed the same thing with some of my posts.
10 Mar 2026 20:01:03
You naughty boy, MoT. Substantial posts only from you from now on, please.
11 Mar 2026 08:00:54
Boring old fart mot. Post something interesting . π
11 Mar 2026 09:30:38
If interesting is the criteria, I'm surprised any of your posts get through at all, Aus. ;)
11 Mar 2026 12:08:52
Explain, Alf. Are only posts you agree with interesting? Don't like a bit of a grey matter challenge? All my posts are interesting. Regardless of whether people agree with them.
11 Mar 2026 18:39:57
No, they ain't!
12 Mar 2026 15:01:01
Aus, it's banter, mate - just a joke. I love your posts.
09 Mar 2026 19:25:02
Quarter final draw. Wet Sham or Brentford away. Away again, but not the worst draw we could have got.
09 Mar 2026 19:43:40
Both are winnable. Only difference is 9,000 Leeds at West Ham, or a paltry 2,000 at Brentford. Last team out again for the second time.
09 Mar 2026 20:11:58
32 out of 38 away draws, unbelievable stat, but a winnable tie. A couple of league wins before we play it would be superb.
09 Mar 2026 20:18:51
I agree on everything there, Feath.
We are due an away win!
Hopefully start this weekend?
09 Mar 2026 22:45:45
Spam it is then.
10 Mar 2026 09:05:39
Yes, Cork, 3 points at Palace could be our most important result of the season if we can do it.
10 Mar 2026 11:34:47
Of course, any home draw would have been great for the fans against any club, but personally I'd rather have West Ham away than Port Vale away, and I'm quite serious about that.
Playing lower league clubs goes against the grain of what your team is set up to play most of the time.
They can be very awkward and unpredictable.
Playing West Ham away in a Cup game has the potential for penalties, in my estimation.
Hopefully a good game, with possibly Cree out injured?
10 Mar 2026 19:38:47
And Bowen too, OP. Those two have got 40% of their goals this season.
09 Mar 2026 19:03:16
The game changed when the crowd got frustrated and started chanting "get into 'em"
Poor Em never knew what hit her.
09 Mar 2026 10:42:28
Great result, and some good performances, Namecheck, Gaby and Bijol stood out for me and our back three should be Joe, Bijol and Pascal to season end now.
Opposition aside it was great to see wingers attack their full backs again.
The thing that stands out is what a different side we look when we play with pace and intent, we started slowly and I get that it's to pull players out of position but it gave Norwich hope, when we got the ball forwards quickly they could not live with us, got to maintain that level of pace and intent in our play and I believe we will win sufficient games to confirm our safety, especially at home.
09 Mar 2026 12:02:37
Good post, Class.
Bijol has to get into the team. He's our best defender. It would be harsh on Justin, though, as he's one of our best players since he got into the side.
09 Mar 2026 13:01:45
Disagree, Class. James and Gnonto are not prem quality. Or Struijk. We played wingers cause v poor opposition. He's too scared to do that in the league, but given the poor depth in the squad. Sorta see his point. Gabby is brilliant. Hands down player of the season.
09 Mar 2026 15:14:16
I agree, Aus, that consistency-wise neither Willy nor DJ are EPL standard. I was highlighting the refreshing change to see wing play again.
I also agree Farke feels it's too risky, from a defensive point of view, to play them. It's a shame we lost Okafor when we did, as he can scare opponents, but we have what we have.
Faby has been fantastic, but we need him released as a wingback, with Bogle/Justin, otherwise DCL is down to scraps and set pieces.
Don't think we have anything to fear from Palace, but we need two up top and our wingbacks providing better supply, especially without a 10. Real shame we didn't loan one.
09 Mar 2026 20:13:40
Two up top is a must now, Class.
11 Mar 2026 06:55:13
Not EPL standard. Better get used to that, because we are not in the same league as the big boys paying 150 mil for one player. Get behind them and stop bashing them for crying out loud.
09 Mar 2026 09:23:00
Iβd like to see a proper 3-5-2 v Palace.
Bogle and Gudmonson wing backs.
Bijol Rodon Strujk centre backs.
Amps, Longstaff (or Aaronson) , Stach in midfield.
Start with Nmecha and DCL up top.
09 Mar 2026 10:47:05
Great post, Mighty, exactly the side I'd pick too. Sadly, I think Daniel Farke will revert to five at the back, with DCL up top on his own, mainly because he kept Namecheck on all game, and we know that he struggles for consecutive games and minutes.
Hey, but I'm normally wrong prediction-wise, so here's hoping for 3/5/2 for the remainder of the season.
09 Mar 2026 12:27:47
Totally agree!
09 Mar 2026 20:38:42
We play better, are more difficult to beat, and create more chances when we play with 3 at the back and 2 up front. DCL needs someone to pick up his headers, and someone to feed balls into the edge of the 6 yard box, because that's where he scores.
Who do you play in midfield? The question is whether it's BA or Longstaff.
BA runs his socks off, but maybe it's time to put in an alternative, and maybe Longstaff needs a longer run, and a chance to justify his transfer. I think he's more of an attacking threat than Aaronson.
Re Nmecha, he looked OK during the 90 minutes. Why shouldn't he be able to put in another stint next week, even if it's not the full match?
