Just seen a couple of really good goals from logan White. He is an academy player i think they said we got him from Bradford academy. Really good goal cutting in off the left wing and then a long range free kick. One to watch!

Well given all our injuries, how would you set up today?
It’s got to be either we keep the same formation and go possibly Harrison left wing Aaronson right wing or rest Aaronson and put Bogle on right wing with Justin at right back, or 3 at the back ( Rodon, struijk, Bijol) and push Gaby and Bogle as wing backs!
I think I’d prefer the latter and go with 2 up top.

Always nervous about prem league games but I'm going out on a limb here. I think we can should and will win. I think our belief and team spirit is improving. Don't think manager or players are thinking anything other than a win. And as much as Parker can talk the talk about going at us he will def Parker the bus again.

Our mini league is probably places 14 or 15 thru 20. It looks like beating teams higher than that is a tough ask so it is vital we maximize points agains5 these teams. Being " happy
" with a point at the likes of Burnley is ridiculous, it is a game we should win and tactically set up with the expectation of winning. Not winning at the mighty Clarets will be an indication of serious struggles ahead.

Looking to the game against Burnley at Turf Moor on Saturday, I see contrary to what some pundits are saying in that Burnley will have to come out and attack.
I can see them playing a very similar game to the last fixture in the Championship, they will I expect defend large parts of the game with a few counter attacks in the hope of getting a lucky goal.
I can’t see Scott Parker changing his tactics that he has instilled into his players.
I won’t be surprised if it’s a nil nil draw and quite a tedious and boring game.
Of course I will watch it but I’m not expecting a spectacle with goals reining in.
Since we are playing away I would still be happy with a point if the result is a draw.

We need the three points. At least eleven wins are needed this season and this is one of those games where a win should be prioritised.

Problem is that Burnley will be more up for this game than for any other opponent this season, you can be sure of that. Don’t forget we are also virtually wingerless. I think we are going to need a bit of luck to take all three points today, which incidentally we are due.

I did mention on here when the summer transfer window closed that I was concerned about the fact that we could of dispensed with buying a new keeper and that another winger would of helped our cause better this season.
We now have three of our four wingers on the treatment table with only a make shift Aaronson and Harrison who does not get my heart racing when I see him on the pitch.
For me this is a very big concern that I hope this is only short term? .
Ramazani being loaned out might have been a mistake but then again I’m not sure he would have made an impact in the Premiership. Then there is Solomon, arguably our best player last season, did we make an offer for him? Thomas Frank didn’t want him, was he a political hot potato being an Israeli?
For me he would have been a good fit even with Okafor who will not play a full season with his injury issues.
I really hope this will not be a big regret if our recruitment come the end of this season.

I remember you saying a keeper or at least an expensive keeper should be ignored and another big signing forward bought instead.
I and many others disagreed but in hindsight you may have been correct mate.

Don’t think injuries were considered in our transfer policy as we also bought injury prone players and loaned out Rama and didn’t buy solo. Two recently fit players.
These injuiries can be of no excuse as they planned their transfer window.
I also don’t see the point of four gk. Silly. As prev said. Don’t see point with 3 on the bench either.

Indeed it was Baz who said that, but you have to consider he is playing in la Liga and with all respect it’s not the same as the Premiership. Maybe Charlie has got what it takes to be a successful CB in the Premiership, who knows? But I am certain they didn’t let him go likely and if he didn’t fit in with Farke’s plans well then he didn’t fit in.
Nobody will really know until some time maybe a Premiership team takes him on and then we’ll see if he’s got what it takes.
Maybe he would fit in with a David Moyes type set up.?

Im happy with our defense at present and I don’t feel like we have really missed out in selling him.
What I am concerned about though is our winger situation, I think it could be a real problem for us, but I’m hoping not.

Old news, Charlie wasn’t ready and there were better ahead of him, we should make a few quid and Charlie hopefully has a good career.

His brother Alfie is an even better prospect is on a long contract and can play CB or midfield.

Lot more concerned if Harry Gray doesn’t sign a senior contract the boy could play for England senior team, he has that much potential, but we need him around first team squad now so his family believes this is right for him now, otherwise bigger clubs will swoop in for him.

That would be a travesty.

Aus you have to consider the player in these type situations, I’m sure Charlie himself wanted to stay but if he can’t fit in the squad then he can’t advance and a move is the only solution. The club will just have to bite the bullet on that one.
One other player Baz did bleat on about was Leif Davis and that we lost potentially a 20/ 40 Mil player, well no Premiership club snapped him up when Ipswich were relegated.
Fans will often cite these situations as lost opportunities but rarely do these young players go on to be top Premiership players, that might even be the same with Archie, time will tell.
The only youth player that I regret we let go, but we had no choice as the club was going into a financial meltdown was James Milner. There are also arguments for Danny Rose and Aaron Lennon also.

I agree op. If Charlie had stayed he wouldn't have had many games and not developed. If he had been loaned maybe the same. As not all loans are right or the motivation is not there. But being sold to a team that want you to be their first team cb has forced him to develop or else.
Farke for some reason did not see Charlie as his first choice for whatever reason. So the sale was good for him. You cannot keep them all.
And correct about leif. No one has been clamouring to sign him for the prem.
