Is it true? Really? Titus Bramble is our defensive coach? That would explain a lot!

Several times a loss in the 3rd round of the cup has determined our season. Cardiff, Sutton and now I have a depressing feeling that the Newport will see the wheels come off and a terrible 4 months eventuate. Hope I am wrong but I've seen it before and have a gut feeling. PS I am not an optimist.

1.) 08 Jan 2018 09:25:46
I'm not convinced the FA cup results were the 'cause' of the wheels coming off in those seasons - rather, i suspect they were a symptom of the true cause which was that we weren't good enough.

Not used to all these positives since early 2000's. But can't help thinking if a club like Palace or West Ham or one of them sack their manager and have millions to spend to keep them safe from relegation, they will just look at the poor relations in the Championship and take who they want. because they can. I know TC is contracted but these Prem clubs have money to buy out contracts. Just being cautious as being kicked in the guts is how us Leeds fans live.

Octo I get where you're coming from, but for
Me TC is a different breed and so is Rads. I think they're both in it for the long haul and share the vision and dream.

2.) 29 Aug 2017 17:51:03
Thing is, you can't just take TC, you have to take the whole backroom staff including Bravo and Orta. I don't see him leaving, he doesn't seem like the type to walk away and he was really keen to come here.

3.) 29 Aug 2017 17:59:08
I'm with you on that one Curahee, Radz is to smart and TC seems very committed and like I said in a previous post he celebrates when we score so his heart is with us, for the first time in a long time we are building for the future and anyone who comes in Radz will make sure they buy into it. MOT

4.) 29 Aug 2017 18:02:43
Think you're right Octo, but am in agreement with Cura on this one. Reckon there will be all sorts of clauses in TC's contract too for loyalty, and like Cura says, I think we are onto something different with these guys.

5.) 29 Aug 2017 18:46:21
Despite his European pedigree, both playing and managing, TC was a bit of a punt (but, I guess all Championship managers are, to a degree - what with the nature of the league) so, I don't really see a solid Premier League team coming calling just yet. Potentially next season (provided we have a fairly good one) could see some top flight oppo come calling. That said, I do trust him and the board to make the right decisions.

6.) 29 Aug 2017 18:58:09
I think Palace would be more likely to get Colin or Fat Sam back.

7.) 29 Aug 2017 19:08:16
Apparently West Ham want Benitez and Newcastle would never go for TC. theyd go for someone they have to pay much more money to for poorer results than TC. So maybe even very terribles for them then! 😂

According to NZ media, chris wood is on 55K (pounds) per week at burnley. Surely this can't be right? If it is, then can't blame him for going. I was never a fan of wood. always thought he was a donkey. Eeeee-haaaawwww

1.) 22 Aug 2017 10:19:55
Wow that's . £3666 a minute of game time ;-)

2.) 22 Aug 2017 10:39:38
From what I read it's likely to be much lower with Burnley's top earner coming in at 35k. He'll still be on a massive pay increase no doubt. Careful this doesn't turn into another Seth Johnson like myth.

3.) 22 Aug 2017 13:40:20
its certainly possible - premiership wages and Burnley's record signing.

4.) 22 Aug 2017 14:07:05
Man. U got to question the sanity of burnley decision makers. Woods their highest buy? Good move boys.

5.) 22 Aug 2017 21:01:53
Don't mention Man U please Aus! 😜

6.) 23 Aug 2017 09:53:57
Aus Man C wot U did there.

I know this sounds crazy but my friend emailed me saying that he has heard that van Persie is a possibility. We don't get many Dutch playing for Leeds. Yes please!

octopus eats crocodile

1.) 24 Jan 2017 18:55:07
Got me thinking now about our Dutch players. Terminator Bob is the only one I can think of. Got a mental block and struggling to think of anymore. Call myself a Leeds fan 😱

2.) 24 Jan 2017 19:04:24
Hasselbaink

3.) 24 Jan 2017 19:20:08
Wijnhard

4.) 24 Jan 2017 20:18:13
Doh. How could I forget about Jimmy and Clyde. I'm going through a midlife memory crisis I think.

5.) 24 Jan 2017 21:05:24
William Korsten, who defected to Spurs.

6.) 25 Jan 2017 08:30:24
What about the icon that was Robert Molenaar?

7.) 26 Jan 2017 15:38:05
not sure if he was dutch but pretty sure Jody Von Morris was part dutch as he was so skillful

1.) 18 Jul 2021 21:11:01
Hmm it's a slow hot day so this kind of becomes a tad intriguing. any hints as to contents of post Ed007?

{Ed007's Note - It was weird conspiracy theory stuff that you usually hear from drunken bums or spice users ranting at nobody in particular.}

2.) 18 Jul 2021 22:43:45
Hmm censorship on here too? Nice one ed.

{Ed007's Note - It's not censorship as such, it's protecting people reading made up pish by morons.}

3.) 19 Jul 2021 07:03:40
And you get decide what’s good to hear and what’s not good to hear?

{Ed001's Note - that is the point in editors or the site would be awash with idiotic posts like twatter is. If you want uncensored go there.}

4.) 19 Jul 2021 07:55:41
Quite right Eds - bravo.

{Ed001's Note - I don't understand why people moan to be honest. They know where twatter, FB etc are. If they want somewhere without editorial oversight just go there instead of whining. Instead they moan, whinge and whine, then start saying things like 'just delete my account', then follow it up with post after post. I mean do they want their account deleted or not? If they do, why keep posting? Weird.}

5.) 19 Jul 2021 09:15:25
Ed I’m offended, there is nothing wrong with spice users as I have a curry on a weekly basis and they wouldn’t be the same without spice.

{Ed007's Note - 😂

6.) 19 Jul 2021 11:51:41
I am addicted to All Spice Martyn.
Sorry that should read Old Spice!

7.) 19 Jul 2021 13:46:58
I prefer Sporty Spice.

You just know it's all over when Tyler Roberts is brought on to do something to salvage the game. It's like entering the Chicago mayor in a beauty contest and hoping for a result.

Had worse.

2.) 27 Jun 2021 07:35:10
All Leeds aren't we?

3.) 27 Jun 2021 11:16:18
Couldn’t help cheer massively every time Denmark scored. Made me very happy!

4.) 27 Jun 2021 11:38:10
Did anyone notice the difference in speed of passing by Tyler and all the other Welsh players?
His passes were so much faster paced.

5.) 27 Jun 2021 13:10:04
But he himself was hardly passed to… had the feeling he was “on the outside” with even Championship players getting a look in at the tournament ahead of him.

To be honest… the tournament is starting to wear a little thin for me. Am hoping the Diego and Robin get a look in somehow and of course Kalvin leads England to victory… but… am most hoping we get players in, a great preseason and our lads overseas right now come back safe to give ManU a right drubbing.

02 May 2021 09:45:48
If the reason that Roberts gets into the squad has anything to do with the word 'diversity', then I will be the first to walk away from Leeds. He is not good enough to even make a living in the Australian A league. An imposter where he doesn't belong.

I think he in team for passion. And want.
Nothing to do with ability.
I don’t mind the bloke tbh. Tries hard and cares.
But.

Watched the game delayed cos getting up at 0200 and dominating but not winning annoys me so much and never able to sleep again. That scenario almost happened again. Bielsa may be a "genius" in the way he plays but he is a stubborn fool in who he plays. The swift flowing counter attacks are fine until they break down and possession lost. AGAIN by the same player ( who had a better game than usual, but in my book, has had far too many chances after awful performances) . Wouldn't be surprised if our young talent don't move on to first team football with Luton or whatever, cos they're not being rewarded for their outstanding U-23 performances. Just my opinion.

octopus eats crocodile

1.) 04 Apr 2021 22:32:35
You have a point about the young talent possibly moving on Octi

So next season the likes of Drameh and Geldhert and possibly Summerville, Greenwood and McAlmont need to be given first team opportunities coming on from the bench to see if they can make it at this very high level.

Personally I believe only Cody Drameh and Joe Geldhart are good enough for EPL.

2.) 04 Apr 2021 22:38:17
Who would you play instead Octo?

3.) 05 Apr 2021 10:55:44
Can't see any of the U23 squad, or any of those on loan at the moment, wanting to leave just yet
As a squad they have phenomenal momentum with the carrot of promotion and piting themselves against the cream of U23 talent. As individuals they have amazing coaching and playing system. Just look at the playing careers of those who have played for Bielsa previously. He and his team create top quality players.

I am looking forward to seeing the youngsters in the U23 top league. We shall find out so much about them once they are challenged.

4.) 05 Apr 2021 14:27:10
I agree axe. With the exception of one or two who might get into a championship team, I don't think temperature majority of the u23s would benefit massively from going to a L2 team permanently.

14 Mar 2021 23:24:45
I just don't get it. We have some up and coming goal scorers in the U23's. These lads are not 16 years old, but young men. So why does Bielsa persist with Roberts? Yes. he was better than his normal self today but not by much. If the U23 players are good enough they should be given an opportunity. Otheteise a club like Burnkey will swoop offering first team football. If they're not good enough then why are they being touted as the best Henry / Messi.

octopus eats crocodile

1.) 15 Mar 2021 08:30:02
In the U23s we have Gelhardt, Greenwood and Allen, and Allen is 17yo so why should we expose him to PL football before he is ready?

From what I have watched, Gelhardt and Greenwood are good young talents but are yet to have the physicality to be able to survive in the PL

As I see it Bamford is our first choice centre forward. Rodrigo, who has played the same position for club and Country but in a very different technical role, is second choice. And after that we are a bit light.

Roberts is our next choice in that position. Obviously most on here think he is not up to that role but at Walsall he did play the centre forward role and he did do well. And now at Wales he has played international football as a centre forward. Personally I am not that concerned if Roberts is given the nod to play up front for a few games whilst we get Rodrigo back up to fitness in a professional manner.

2.) 15 Mar 2021 09:15:12
My only hope, Octi, is the magic 42 points. When that is reached and safety looks all the more assured I hope Bielsa will (slowly) integrate a few of the young guns. We nned to see them fare in competitivr matches to assess their worth. Meaningless friendlies are exactly that and give very little indication to the future.

We are not signing anyone who knows how to score. Probably "own goal" will be our top scorer this season.

Every morning I check the Leeds rumours. All sorts of potential and actual good players linked. But slowly the names fade away as they are replaced by other names, and then those names fade and replaced by more names etc etc. Lower mid table and a lot of "what ifs" . again, and a new manager by xmas. I'd take this at the bookies but the odds are probably only about evens.

Sadly, there is a clue in the word "hospice". He was always my favourite player of that era. I also had the hardest shot in my team. broke a goalkeepers hand once. Don't know what else to say. You will be missed Peter.

I had c.v. in March last year. Best flu I ever had. Better even than a cold. 99% of people recover, but sadly, like the flu, a few will die. You'll be around to see Leeds win the Champions League. Good luck.

Brian Moore was my least favourite. Every goal was either "great" or "fantastic". I wrote to him once on 'The Big Match' requesting some screamers from Lorimer. He was so lazy, he just showed a couple of tap ins and his goals in Leeds 5-2 home win v Leicester from 1974 (? ) , one of which was a penalty.
