Whilst Harrison and Firpo signing are the standout Leeds United headline news so far this summer window, but also contract extensions for Dallas and hopefully soon Bamford and KP equally important.

Now the icing on the cake is Kiko on the verge of leaving.

1.) 11 Jul 2021 14:45:11
Not sad Kiko has gone, just wish we had secured a replacement first. Could kill our season if we don't find anyone and Mesilier picks up a knock.

2.) 11 Jul 2021 17:20:46
From what I saw of Caprile for the 23’s, he is capable of stepping up in the same way Meslier did when Kiko got banned.

3.) 11 Jul 2021 17:31:15
Gummie. Can’t believe that orta and Bielsa hadn’t thought about the options should this happen. Angus Gunn was allegedly a target before joining Norwich. Can see someone of a similar ilk (keeper in mid 20s that can be improved by Bielsa) . Freddie Woodman perhaps?

4.) 11 Jul 2021 18:24:27
Think Caprile looks a good young keeper bright, just not prem ready (Not champ ready either if I'm honest) .
I'm sure they've looked Ali, just worry till someone's signed.

The formal announcements yesterday and today by Leeds United and Leeds City Council

that Leeds United will redevelop their Elland Road stadium to a 55,000 capacity are thoroughly welcome excellent news for LUFC and it's supporters :

1) This increased capacity will considerably/ greatly increase all sorts of revenue streams for Leeds United

2) The very long waiting lists for season tickets for Leeds fans will be remedied somewhat

3) The vast expertise and experience of stadium construction and redevelopment of Leeds United ( and San Francisco 49ers CEO) Vice President Paraag Marathe will ensure this redevelopment will definitely be a major success.

2.) 17 Jun 2021 23:25:47
To think we struggled to get 15k a few years ago in L1.

3.) 18 Jun 2021 10:23:52
I was one of those 15k, and I count for ten vocally.

4.) 19 Jun 2021 18:39:03
Yeah me too but I'm not as vocal.

25 Jan 2021 12:57:09
Radz has announced that San Francisco 49ers have increased their stake in Leeds United to 37%.

Be interesting to know how many millions it took for 37% ownership.

Paraag Marathe of San Francisco 49ers is now Leeds United Vice President.

Bazooka _Viduka

1.) 25 Jan 2021 20:16:17
Sounds like around £50m for the 22% they just bought. First 15% we where still in the champ so would have been a lot less. Probably somewhere between £60-£70m for the 37%.
Not bad for a team that cost him £47m 4 years ago.

01 Sep 2020 22:42:19
Watched a half hour of highlights
goals and assists of Rodrigo de Paul and he looks to be twice as good as Saiz . technically brilliant but with more pace, power and end product.

If Leeds can sign him it would be a major coup.

Still feel we need to sign another striker.

It now really looks like QSI are really NOW finally making their move on Leeds United now that Premier League status has been achieved.

Very recently the extremely reputable, credible and reliable Financial Times reported that QSI were moving in on Leeds United with a considerable investment share in Leeds United

And yesterday a very good freelance journalist Connor on his own live you tube show reported with photos from his sources Radz and QSI in meeting also yesterday at an alfresco restaurant in Corsica.

Also that the new Adidas Kit Deal is having Qatar Airways on the shirt with QSI firmly behind that. This would explain why there has been a considerable delay in actually revealing the new Adidas shirt to the fans.

QSI investment in Leeds United is happening folks ( very) sooner or later!

I tend to agree Baz, there are certain things that point to upcoming activity. I also read that we’ve made a signing, but are keeping it hushed until the kit launch is finalised. Fingers crossed!

2.) 06 Aug 2020 17:56:28
Fingers crossed indeed Brighty 👍.

We need 2 more outfield reinforcements otherwise we will need a fortuitous injury free season

SOOOOOO COME ON Orta in signing the two quality signings CM and CAM / winger to seriously enhance the team and squad

I have a £50 charity bet to win against the Whacky Villa Whack Lad.

Bazooka _Viduka

1.) 28 Jul 2021 00:39:43
Baz What are the specifics of the bet?

2.) 28 Jul 2021 06:47:47
It's about who finishes higher in the table George.

3.) 28 Jul 2021 09:20:44
Indeed Alf.

20 Jul 2021 17:52:43
Clu, Alf and anybody else in the know :

What is the latest on Leèds search for a good number 2 goalkeeper.

Is this young Klaessen gk from Norway coming or not? Brexit Work Visa problems? Is he good?

Getting in a good number 2 gk needs sorting asap.

Bazooka _Viduka

1.) 20 Jul 2021 19:02:41
Work permit supposedly.

2.) 20 Jul 2021 22:35:47
Yes, Leeds/ Klaesson will need to get a Governing Body Endorsement (GBE) from the FA, under the regulations the FA was required to devise (as were all sport governing bodies) post-Brexit.

There’s a range of criteria, covering club and National appearances etc. Klaesson should gain points for appearances in Valerenga’s senior team. The Norwegian league is only a Band 5, but having appeared in more than 90% of the matches, he should get 4 points. He will probably also gain points for playing for Norway u21s, and possibly for his appearances with u19s, not clear how many as depends on the time frame used - should be in the last 12 months, but c.v. has impacted some age group fixtures.

He may qualify for points under some of the of the other criteria too and from what I understand, Orta and his team are well versed in the GBE regs, and I would have thought such considerations would have been included in the shortlisting process which identified Klaesson as one of the top 3 goalkeeper targets.

3.) 21 Jul 2021 13:37:49
Cheers for the info Clu 👍 highly informative as usual 👏.

16 Jul 2021 17:17:27
So would it be correct to suggest that given we are already over half way into July

that apart from Firpo any further newly acquired signing this window will certainly not have time to be Bielsaball fit and read for Man United so they will not be walking straight into the first 11.

So same players to start season as last season plus Firpo minus Alioski

Roll on the start of the new season, the end of the transfer window and particularly the end of the bs clickbait transfer speculation websites.

Bazooka _Viduka

1.) 16 Jul 2021 17:40:18
Like every other pre season again.

2.) 16 Jul 2021 17:44:17
Now that we have filled the obvious gap I am not too worried about any other position. I would much rather we wait and get the totally right man than panic buy, last minute, paying over the odds. For instance a combination of Dallas, Klich and Forshaw could do a job in midfield until Mr Right comes along.

3.) 16 Jul 2021 19:09:05
Once again Orta's promises fall some way short.

4.) 16 Jul 2021 22:00:31
What promise?
Are you confusing 'I'd like' with 'I will?

5.) 16 Jul 2021 23:12:44
Baz - strictly speaking, they’re not the same players to start this season as the last one.

For starters, both Llorente or Raphinha joined us after last season had started. Raphinha wasn’t a starter until Arsenal at home, the ninth League game, and Llorente didn’t become a regular starter until the end of February!

Additionally, Rodrigo and Koch only joined two weeks before the start so were nowhere near up to speed with Bielsaball.

Barring injury during pre-season all four should be available to start this season with a decent pre-season and all fully versed in Bielsaball.

Add to that the possible promotion of a couple of u23s who are also up to speed in fitness and on patterns of play. So why so much negativity?, particularly on Orta - who did a cracking job with his recruitment last season with three established internationals and Raphinha, all for reasonable fees, and has already delivered a significant upgrade at leftback. He’s also brought in some excellent recruits for the u23s who were sought by other clubs, and are likely to transition to the first team squad within the next 2-3 years, so obviating substantial future transfer outlays in their positions.

The c. v. impact on the market and the international championships have made it far harder to recruit quickly this summer, with very little significant transfer activity has being done by teams in the Prem and other major leagues to date, so the delay in incomings should not be blamed on Orta.

gnificant sums.

6.) 16 Jul 2021 23:35:24
Should also be pointed out that, with the exception of the LB position, anyone coming in will have to earn their starting place before ousting a player that did little wrong last year (whether that's Dallas, Klich or Rodrigo) so they will have time to get "Bielsa fit".

7.) 17 Jul 2021 06:08:19
🇨🇦 spot on as usual. Was always a tall order with the Euros, holidays and the albeit receding world health crisis. Can see Victor wrapping up all incoming transfer business by first few days of August. This will mean those players won't be Bub fit until mid-September but there's worse things that can happen.

8.) 17 Jul 2021 08:46:38
Excellent post clue. I thought the purpose of the U23s was to promote within, pointless having them otherwise.

9.) 17 Jul 2021 19:04:53
That is the idea Farsley but that can't be if they aren't good enough and each season we release or move on lots of 'promising' talents that just aren't good enough.

10.) 18 Jul 2021 10:08:11
So do all other football clubs Alf.

15 Jul 2021 18:46:49

With the Whacky Backy lad forever still forlornly hoping that he gets to see the Vile actually win a trophy in HIS lifetime ( newsflash : it's never going to happen Whack 🤣)

and with Whacky clearly most demonstrably and understandably having a very soft spot for Super Leeds United 💜

would we welcome the Whack lad into the Leeds United family when he sees the light and switches from the dark side the Vile

to the club Whack Lad consciously, certainly subconsciously, ever so dearly yearns to support El Magico Bielsa's Leeds United? 🤔😊.

Bazooka _Viduka

1.) 15 Jul 2021 20:46:36
We know Wacky and V dave both secretly love Leeds 💘.

2.) 16 Jul 2021 07:54:45
Maybe. If it was a genuine, wholehearted move on his part. Don’t want glory hunters.

3.) 16 Jul 2021 23:22:32
Why would I stop supporting villa after 39 years baz, bit soft you are lad😂😂 I’ve seen villa win more trophies than I have seen seasons outside the top flight, none of you lot can say the same lol.

4.) 17 Jul 2021 07:48:03
39 years? 🤣 lol 1982? . 😜 who? you Whack? 😜😜😜. 🍶yeah and I am next in line to tne throne whilst you are at it 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 # Whack child of the 90s 🤣.

5.) 17 Jul 2021 10:50:33
My first jersey was 81, I’m Irish I live in Ireland so I had no ties to any part of England, I had 2 choices in my house when I was a kid, Chelsea or villa and I preferred the later. as usual your 24 years watching lower lvl football has u bitter again, maybe if you win something soon you might chill out a bit.

6.) 17 Jul 2021 12:24:17
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 so how how old are you pretending to be in 1981 Whack lad 😜🤣 ( forty years ago not 39 as you incorrectly stated ) when you were just a glint in your father's eye at best 😜🤣 hilarious.

7.) 17 Jul 2021 23:03:07
On the 8 th of October 1981 I was 10 years old baz do your maths it’s not 40 years ago for another few months, your desperation is getting old and your lack of education shows every time you post a comment.

8.) 18 Jul 2021 09:49:30
It's very hard to believe your claim to be born in the 70s ( 1971) Whack Lad

but if somehow so, then most sincerly most surprising given your lack of knowledge of football in the 70s,80s and even 90s from your many posts.

9.) 18 Jul 2021 11:18:38
Mate the only reason you claimed I was a 90’s child was because you claimed I didn’t know Leeds won a league in 91 or 92 I’m not 100% as I’m not a Leeds fan but it was also something that you had previously mentioned several times so your claim is quiet confusing to be honest, I don’t claim to know everything about football in the 70’s as I was under 10 years old living in a different country with very little tv coverage and obviously no internet to learn of these thing, I grew up in a house divided by villa and Chelsea so that’s what I knew the most about, one of my first football memories was getting a villa jersey for my tenth birthday (albeit 3 or 4 sizes to big for me) I wore it with pride. I don’t think you quite understand what it was like supporting English clubs in Ireland at that time, you would be lucky to see a handful of games in a season on tv, our tv was black and white, we barely had a phone in the house and only had it because my father needed it for his business.

10.) 18 Jul 2021 14:35:11
So in Ireland you weren't really able to experience English football. ok.

11.) 18 Jul 2021 17:39:19
We experienced it but it wasn’t as readily available as it became in the late 80’s and 90’s and now even more so as we can watch pretty much any game that has a camera at it.

12 Jul 2021 12:45:35
Back to all things Leeds United on Super Leeds Banter Site but one last thought on Southgate

Of course the FA would never do so for World Cup

but this will he as good as it gets under Southgate I would seek to replace him.

Bazooka _Viduka

1.) 12 Jul 2021 13:44:10
Bit harsh. He just got us to a final - first man to do so in over 50 years.

2.) 12 Jul 2021 16:02:37
The question is Baz, who would you want to replace him with?

3.) 12 Jul 2021 16:39:06
Now that is good question Clu. anyone good is unavailable.

4.) 12 Jul 2021 17:41:40
Steady progression for England since he took over. It may not be as good to watch as Bielsaball but we have kept on improving.
Semi final, now a final, keep it up and the ultimate prize is ours soon!

5.) 13 Jul 2021 12:26:26
Allardyce? . Lol. But no, Southgate is good for me. Semi final of the last World Cup, final of the Euros! Best we’ve had Since Sir Bobby.

6.) 13 Jul 2021 17:47:11
Problem with Southgate is no plan B, or A to think of it. I'd give Gerard or Lampard ago at least with the squad available they'd be attack minded, rather than sit back on a 1 goal lead and hope we at least get to penalties!

Said earlier in tbe summer that we would spend far, far less than last summer due to last season's empty stadiums huge loss of revenue and the Gallagher loan deal suggests so.

Dont rate him that much so hope he goes to Palace instead

Surely there are better options out there than Gallagher and on a loan to BUY if we indeed are tightening the purse strings on transfer fees spent this season.
