Rumoured kalvin wants to come home.
Bermo will be chuffed.
However he wouldn't really get in the team.
Gray, Gruev, kamara and amps would be in front of him in pecking order.
He does seem lost. Always seemed like a one club pony.

In my opinion after the start we had to the season we would of all been happy with the play offs, some of us had us finishing 6th to 10th, some even mentioned relegation, but to finish in the play offs was an achievement. So we still have a chance of automatic promotion, Ipswich have 2 games, both of their opponents have pride to play for but I’m not stupid the odds are against us, but I still hold every hope that we will go up automatically. If we don’t it’s the play offs, a time for redemption in so many ways because it’s about time we get this play off monkey off our backs. So the stats are all written, the games have been played, we now know where we are and what is needed, so let’s get a grip and start believing instead of berating, let’s all become ALAW, we’ve all had our say and all opinions are respected, you never know we may have a day out at Wembley to come!, but for now it’s all or nothing, like I say time to believe, if we haven’t got hope and belief in our life what have we got to get out of bed for? I hope Leeds United go up for all you posters on here I really do, you deserve it for all the crap years we’ve been through, all the ups and downs we’ve suffered together and all the games we’ve watched, some enjoyably, some excitedly and some so bad we couldn’t watch at all, on our own never mind together! MOT ALAW🤞👍.

Good post Woody.

If it is to be the playoffs then IF Leeds players want it badly enough they can most definitely win it.

The other three teams Southampton, Norwich and West Brom are good but nothing to be fearful of.

If anything don't want Hull to squeeze into 6th next Sat. their form and performances been good.

Thanks Cleggy, Baz and Whitey, and you have hit it right on the nail Baz, IF the Leeds players want it badly enough! Spot on Baz and again you are right in saying “we can win it” because we can! You see, you and me Baz, we are two supporters who differ in our views, I’m stupidly optimistic and you are more reserved in your optimism say, but we can agree and most importantly we are both Leeds through and through, all of us on here, we are all Leeds! I wouldn’t mind a trip to Wembley though! lol 😂 👍👍.

Excellent post Woody.
I felt extremely optimistic and said we'd come 2nd from the start of the season
To be honest, I still feel like we will and I am clinging to that hope
The other teams destined for the playoffs are out of form too, so if 3rd - 6th stays as it is, I can't see a stand out team.

It was a hard start and Farke did well to get us up there. But then the wheels came off after int break. Since then we have largely been rubbish and not in good enough form to wanna be in the play offs. And that also is farkes fault. It’s up to him to rest injured or unmotivated players and pick a fit fighting team.

Agree0 0Disagree

30 Apr 2024 09:00:25
It’s a fair point Aus. The biggest question for me is WHY did the wheels come off after the Int Break? Another end of the season / run in capitulation?
Like others, let’s hope we really step it up again if it is to be the playoffs.

Simon Kjær (AC Milan/ Denmark centreback) is on a free this summer. He's 35 but still has a couple of good years ahead of him with plenty of international and European football experience.

Played at Wolfsburg, Roma, Lille, Sevilla, Atalanta and AC.

Would be worth an enquiry.

Victor Johanson available for £1m, Rotherham are willing to sell since their relegation
Personally, he is a decent keeper but didn't have a great defence in front of him this season.

Agree1 0Disagree

29 Apr 2024 19:11:03
A good gk is crucial to success Leeroy, agree on Johanson.

Victor Johanson is certainly far, far better than Gashlier. I recommended him last
season and this season!

If Leeds previous DoF had had a clue and had signed Johanson ( or of similar quality) last season

Then Leeds United would never have been R last season

and be safe and sound this season too.

Alternatively, if Johanson had signed this season Leeds would be going up.

29 Apr 2024 19:28:43
Bright lol that ole chestnut head wobbler 😀

Facts are Gashlier is way down (17th) in Champo on actual saves per shots fella amongst Champo gks

Many of those " clean sheets " he literally did NOT have a shot to save.

More often than not when opponents do get ball on target it ends in the net.

Most recent match for example

QPR 5 shots on target .4 goals.

Agree0 0Disagree

29 Apr 2024 20:12:07
I've seen the same stas regarding Meslier.
He was talked about at length during a recent podcast and how the clean sheets were mainly down to the defence
So its no coincidence that the defence is struggling and the goals are being shipped.

Spot on Leeroy and Georgey

Rodon, Ampadu and Gruev have been the major force behind " clean sheets" in keeping Meslier with as little to do as possible.

A big shout out also to the top high quality excellent analysis of Leeds United content creators

The 3 best in my opinion are

Locky ; Ger of the View and Kagey.

29 Apr 2024 21:51:54
I do agree about the lad from Rotherham tho, and also said the same last season. Not arguing with any of those stats there Baz, as it would be daft.
What it does say tho, is that something has gone awry with what was the best defence in the division, since the internationals.

Well peeps innit, I would just like to say, through several pints I have been on this site since the Brian MacDermott era I think, probably. The days of Survivor, of course George was there, also my very great virtual buddy Mad Mick on his scooter with a shell suit, whenst was born UTWDTP. Love an miss him very lots. The GFH era, the King of Corn. But, my point is, this site has been a constant in my life since then. A part of my family with valued contributors, whatever I say is meant from the heart and not as inflammatory or contradictory personally. As I have said many times we are a family and squabbles happen. But nothing is personal, just my opinion as all others have theirs. We are Leeds and it is unique, that is why all others are jealous, they don't have it so tear us down so they can sleep easy. On on on siblings, the future is bright, the future is WHITE ❤.

Been trying not to think about Leeds until I have to next week.

So I was thinking about a question I could ask a knowledgeable statistician like 🤔 Google or Copilot 😁 They didn't have an answer.

I asked this question: Which British football club has supplied the most English national team managers?

Maybe I should have changed it to "the most managers to manage England" 🤔

What I mean for example is MK Dons have never had one of their managers poached to manage England.

Just wondering which club has supplied England with the most managers over the years?

See you also forgot about Leeds for 5 minutes, don't you feel relaxed and optimistic 😁.

If it is indeed to be playoffs what is DF gonner do about his non existent midfield

Play 3 in midfield?

Put AG back at RB?

It needs remedying asap.

28 Apr 2024 19:07:58
A little bit premature Leeroy mate.
Even In saying that we still need our best team out just in case a miracle happens and Huddersfield beat you know who.
If we are to make changes I’d bring Cooper, yes Cooper back in and put Amps back in midfield alongside Kamara.

Archie RB. Bamford if fit up top if not fit Joseph. Rutter needs dropping so if James fit he should come in with Gnonto playing number 10.
One last point. I’d like Creswell to play but he’s probably more rusty than Bazzas balls so a bit risky for him to come in at this stage of the season.

Agree1 0Disagree

28 Apr 2024 19:20:55

28 Apr 2024 21:06:45
It is premature Corky, but I thought I'd ask the question
I totally agree with playing Coops, moving Ampadu into midfield and I'd pop Archie back as RB unless Connor Roberts is fit to play
Rutter can have a rest, play Paddy and Piroe up top with Joseph coming on at HT.

He played Archie in Midfield against Blackburn and QPR, it wasn’t because of Archie we lost those games but at the moment it’s not because he plays in midfield that we will have a positive result.
If fact Amps and Archie playing in their unfamiliar positions saw us go through a eleven game winning streak, explain that?
We have a lot of very talented young players in our squad who unfortunately at the crunch time haven’t shown their experience, because they simply don’t have any to not control their nerves and continue what they had been doing so well up to the international break.
Sadly we only have Bamford as our soul senior player who has been at the club long enough to help and encourage the youngsters through this crucial period on the pitch.

Farke can give them all the encouragement off the pitch but he can’t do it on it. The youngsters have done brilliantly this season and we can only hope if we don’t go up that the club is able to hold onto them, if they do I have no doubt we would end up Champions of this cursed league next season.

But whilst there’s still a chance of promotion I’m still backing Farke and his young charges to do the job, even if it’s the play offs.
For the posters who don’t want to believe and support Leeds Utd which includes our players and coach, please do not respond to my post and likewise I will not respond to yours.

Afternoon siblings, salutations. We'll, seems to me this season we have gone full circle on this form. Initially portents of doom and lucky to survive to heightened optimism and joy at our run. Now back to criticism and frustration. Sniping at and scoring points off fellow family ain't going to achieve anything, negativity only breeds negativity. This season was all about steadying the ship and rebuilding. But we are in a great place. Should we end up in the playoffs then our destiny is still in our hands. Now is the time for unity and support, the ride ain't finished so don't jump off. We are Leeds and whatever happens we always will be, we always take the hard road but that is why success is so satisfying. UTWDTP I am off to the pub 😁❤.

Criticism where it’s due, Farke does not deserve the slamming of some on here.
If we did not have the chaos that Farke unfortunately inherited at the start of the season, we would have won this league.

Sadly there are some of you who are blinkered in your views and only want to see it your way so that you can moan and complain about realistically a very good season considering.

I’m not looking for you to change your opinions because I would be wasting my time. Most of you who are against our coach have made your feelings quite clear for most of this season and you quite clearly also want him sacked. I’m absolutely 100% certain that if we are not promoted this season, we will be the next.

For me I can see that even if we are promoted now, there will be some who will still find a way to complain and moan and demand that Farke be sacked.
That will be all down to your blind and unfair so called criticism.

What happened to piroe?
I've been think why has Joel not worked this season at Leeds.
Was it extra pressure? A semi big move to a big club can get into the head of a player. Expectations are higher and the pressure a footballer puts on himself can be greater.
Is it the different system or different role?
Having watched his goals for Swansea there are a lot of him just stood in the box an the ball played to him or arriving in the box late. Maybe our players are just not looking for him in the same way.
Being a big fish in a little pond at Swansea Maybe their forwards looked always to play him in?
Maybe he hasn't integrated into the group very well or is a bit of an outsider.
Or maybe the intensity of playing at a top side means he cannot find the same space as he did.
Anyway it has not worked. I think most of us had him top scorer this year. Will farke persist with him next term or is he destined for a loan etc.
