I really don't understand the part that all teams including ours should be out of the traps and firing on all cylinders?
Yes it might of been a Farke tactic for us to soak up the pressure in the 2nd half or it might not of been, perhaps Wolves even without three key players they sold are perhaps adjusting with their new recruits but are still not a bad side and pushed us back in the second half.
I don’t know about Wolves but with our team I definitely see improvement and that takes time.
Bar serious injuries to key players I see us keeping our head above water and the longer that continues the better for us as the momentum and belief grows with it.
I still think it will be a battle to the end but Farke in my opinion has his players grounded and focused on the most important objective this season and that is at all costs we don’t get relegated.

You could see in the move for the goal just what that wolves side could do. I don't think every team will be 100% up to speed yet new system or fitness wise or new recruits as like wolves. We are getting used to playing a different style up front. I do think wolves did allow our midfield especially stach too much room. And if they continue playing with that lack off intensity wolves will stay in the relegation zone.
But it is about us exploiting weak teams and beating all the teams around us.
We did that and on to the next.

Re watched the Wolves game yesterday. If we sit back against the majority of EPL teams like we did in the second half then we're asking for trouble. Not sure was it DF tactics or did the team just get pushed back by the constant long ball in to the box? Either way we have to push on against most teams.
It was great to get THREE goals from open play but we're still way off cutting teams open like we did last season. I realise it's a higher standard but we can't expect a Stach thunderbolt or a Bogle cross from a deep position and DCL to score that kinda goal regularly. Even the third goal came from a defensive mistake from them.
Don't get me wrong I'm absolutely delighted with the win and the grit showed but I believe we can do better and will have to do better.

I don’t think we will out play any team this season. Will be quite a few tight games. Don’t think wolves ever looked like winning mind.
Having said that I haven’t seen a decent team. Even Arsenal didn’t look that great. Saw Liverpool at weekend and they were lucky to win. Maybe it’s a poor quality league this year. The amount of money some have spent. You’d expect better.

No illusions, that every point we gain will be done through graft and endeavour, and yes, on occasions, some luck! But we have seen glimpses that are positive as the team starts to click and gel.

Cork, correct you didn’t bash Farke in that particular post, but the posts In general from yourself and some others are scathing of him most of the time.
It’s the underlying comment that got my goat in your post which was that we can’t rely on DCL and Stach like goals in that game, even Okafor’s was lucky!

There are goals in us, make no mistake about that, I will agree that our flanks are not up to speed just yet but I fully expect the likes of James and Okafor to kick in and supply DCL and along with Bogle who will now unfortunately be out for a while.

Before our win at Molinieux I seem to recall a large amount of discontent coming from the likes of yourself and others. I think things did click with orta towards the end. Rapha. Gnonto. Gio. But he was starting to spend a slight more money and focus in on up and coming stars not just promising youngsters.
But to much of a scatter gun approach for most of his time. And players who needed too much time to adjust to English football.

Happy with the win. These are the games we bust a gut to win. All the lower end clubs.
Would be good if we can get something from our next two games too. Be interesting to see how we fair against them both.
Thought the performance was a bit shaky and we were guilty of giving the ball away too often.

I'm hoping the ER crowd fires up the passions of the players, especially the new guys, and spurs them on to go full pelt.
Scoring at ER and hearing the crowds sing seemed to be infectious for the new starters last season.
You can tell Okafor and DCL loved it when they scored and I can see Anton 'thunderc*nt the ball' Stach will have a few whip-cracks at the onion bag.

Still smiling after that performance, really well deserved and I thought in first 5 minutes we are better than them, then they score and I'm bugger.
But we kept at it, they sat off us with little press and we played through them, Stach was very good
Nice to have the (can't score) off our backs, don't get me wrong, still feel we needed both a quality striker brought in but if we keep DCL fit he will score.
What a free kick, spectacular
Onto Bournemouth and a home game, will be a tough test.
