Never mind "it's a point", that was diabolical. If we are to be serious contenders we have to be consistent. If we turn in performances like that, at home, against such opposition, what chance have we got to play in Europe?

Aim is avoid relegation with more comfort than last year. Mid table is a good season for us.

At the moment I still think focus on avoiding on relegation
Out net spend is minimal
The promoted teams look like they could
Be competitive
The teams who are struggling like spurs, palace and Fulham no doubt will get much better we shouldn't get carried away with the Newcastle win or too despondent with today's poor show.

I have a lot of ambition but I'm also realistic.
I want to win every game but know we won't, accept reality and you won't be disappointed as often!

We're fifth in the table and I think that's a reason to be happy. He sent on Bahoya and the kid was straight in there.

There are some VERY uninspiring supporters on here! For them just being in the Premier League is enough, sorry, I remember us being semi finalists in Europe.

Good post CJS and I empathise somewhat with your point of view.

And better still than DOL team. we had Billy Bremner's Leeds United being the real Champions of Europe. ( and yes, I know lads, it twas a long time ago now )

Doesn't matter what you remember, in those days the playing field was a lot more level than it is now, we are playing up hill into the wind and are doing well.
All we can do is barrow in more soil every year to try and level things up but it will take a long time.

Still very much of the view that mid table would be an excellent position for us.

Today shows so much. There are positives. Muha looked excellent I thought and Trafford too, thought Trafford only had one shot of note to really deal with. Apart from that free kick and disallowed goal they didn't create much clear cut.

Very few chances for Dom. One he could have stuck away.

I don't like that we didn't play well and it is two points dropped. But I do like that we were able to get something despite not playing well. Better teams would have beaten us today but even playing poorly we made ourselves hard to beat. Unbeaten in five, never conceded more than one in the other games and we've played two of the form setters in Brentford and Brighton. That start honestly gets a very solid 7.5-8/10 for me.
