Anybody know why there is press speculation that the players aren't going to be paid today with the PFA on red alert? Is there any truth or is it just the press trying to sell papers?
1.) I would imagine it is to do with the clubs bank account being frozen due to the winding up order due to be heard june 9th, probably speculating because of that. Perhaps MC has something in place to sort it through some other way, doubt he would want not to pay them.
2.) Also has meeting has been called and reporters have assumed it is due to none payment. I can't see mc calling people back from hoiliday to say he ain't paying them, I think it will be about brian going and to introduce them to the new manager benito carboni who has been very vocal recently. if this is the case will be dissapointed brain has to go but many managers much better than benito still must be given a chance I guess mot
3.) Because the clubs bank account is frozen and FL rules say that players cannot be paid from a personal account

So if DF does manage to keep us up, probably by the skin of our teeth, that's when the 49ers need to get realistic, spend some money on players AND a new manager. Stating the obvious, I know, but somebody needs to say it.

I'm going to start banging an old drum. There was a big article in the Sunday Times sports pages about DF, seemingly putting him in the same bracket as Wenger and Klopp. If he's that good why did it take until halfway through the Man city game to be a manager? It was obvious even to me that Moyes would change things at halftime, why didn't DF respond? He's not as good as recent results suggest.

Whilst last night's result showed that DF can get a fantastic result but why haven't we played like that all season? Surely a competent manager wouldn't have persisted with a failed system! Still believe we need a better manager, even if we continue like last night.
I find it hard to believe that the decision on how much to pay a player is Mr Hockadays decision to make!
Think if this is true then we will see Ross go to pay for them, seems like this is the way MC operates.
Not that anyone can do anything about it yet, but at least if it comes true then Jeff's stastics will improve!
Think its more likely that Carbone is here for the first team coach's position, soon to be made vacant. For all those who say we'll never get someone to fill a coaches role because who would want to be less than a manager, I say we'll find someone who is used to operating that way and there are plenty of them just not the big names Leeds fans think we deserve.
What make anyone think BMD will be involved in any aspect of player recruitment?
