Afternoon siblings, salutations. We'll, seems to me this season we have gone full circle on this form. Initially portents of doom and lucky to survive to heightened optimism and joy at our run. Now back to criticism and frustration. Sniping at and scoring points off fellow family ain't going to achieve anything, negativity only breeds negativity. This season was all about steadying the ship and rebuilding. But we are in a great place. Should we end up in the playoffs then our destiny is still in our hands. Now is the time for unity and support, the ride ain't finished so don't jump off. We are Leeds and whatever happens we always will be, we always take the hard road but that is why success is so satisfying. UTWDTP I am off to the pub 😁❤.

What happened to piroe?
I've been think why has Joel not worked this season at Leeds.
Was it extra pressure? A semi big move to a big club can get into the head of a player. Expectations are higher and the pressure a footballer puts on himself can be greater.
Is it the different system or different role?
Having watched his goals for Swansea there are a lot of him just stood in the box an the ball played to him or arriving in the box late. Maybe our players are just not looking for him in the same way.
Being a big fish in a little pond at Swansea Maybe their forwards looked always to play him in?
Maybe he hasn't integrated into the group very well or is a bit of an outsider.
Or maybe the intensity of playing at a top side means he cannot find the same space as he did.
Anyway it has not worked. I think most of us had him top scorer this year. Will farke persist with him next term or is he destined for a loan etc.

I very much how they let Chelsea beat them a few Thursdays ago.

If we do end up in the play offs and despite our horrible form I believe we will still go up.
Southampton and Brom are on a losing streak. Norwich and Hull hard to beat but not exactly winning all around them.

I agree Cork, Norwich WBA and Southampton all stuttering. Also the pressure on Ipswich to win or win and draw their next two games will be ramping up big on them. That’s not saying the pressure hasn’t got to our team either but just to say nothing is decided yet.
Baz just wants us to fail because it suits his agenda and that is very evident.
I couldn’t give a monkeys what he and any other poster wants to write to trash our team and coach because supporting and not degrading my team is all I want to do.

if it goes to playoffs then we have as good a chance as anyone else and it can be super exciting in knock out games so I would look forward to it.

None of the top teams seem to have done well under pressure this year.

Southampton lost 5-0 for no good reason than that what I’ve already explained, it happens at this pressure point of the season. It happens like it is in the Premiership, you accuse others of being naive Baz but you are perhaps the naive one?
The knee jerk reaction of wanting to now sack Farke and get rid of certain players is typical of certain fans who know or understand very little about professional football and competing in very competitive hard fought leagues like the Championship.

Let's say Tractors lose 1-0 to skyblues thus making there goal difference 8 worse than ours.
We then assume that our shower of sh&*$#te can beat Saints at home by a lucky own goal - thus we are promoted,

But not so fast, this is LUFC and you can bet your life the Tractor boys will trounce the Dog botherers, scoring there 10th and final goal in the 8th minute of injury time.

I am actually not bothered if we go up, at least in this league we can be competitive, in Prem we would have no chance of actually winning owt.

1970 A return to the EPL what we would "win" is superior finances enabling stadium 🏟️ expansion. We'd have to hope we finish 17th or better. In absence of our ascension, we'll forever be a Championship club possibly vying for promotion each season but watching our talent get snapped up requiring replacements difficult to find and entice. This dynamic would actually render us a mid table Championship club because the likes of Rutter, Gnonto and Summerville will have gone creating a 70 g/ a season void. Let's try "win" our stadium 🏟️ expansion therefore.

I don’t think we are able to compete at the top level.
I think our best players will be on their way. With what is left we are certs to come back down.
As much as I hate to say it, think we need another 1 or 2 seasons in champ. Regroup and rebuild and get a settled team ready for the prem.

Whilst I think we would currently struggle in the EPL with the current squad, you would hope with the huge increase in revenue, the 49’s would sanction an upgrade on the talent. You would hope lessons would be have been learned from last time.

To be fair, going down last season only occurred because of the total capitulation in the last 10 games. To that point, there had been 5-6 teams worse than us for the most part. Players checked out a long time before the season ended.

It would be no where near as much fun, and we would (as fans) be grieving most of the time, but I think we would survive…at a “Brentford” level if we did go up.

We are no longer a club any quality players will want to join the only players we seen to get are ones that there club no longer need or don’t play them we will need massive investment which are owners don’t have and yes I know they have billions but on paper.

Was watching earlier today the excellent The West Yorkshire Football Show where even tne normally uber positive Jayson B. was scathing of DF systematic failures with Piroe etc

They also highlighted Meslier goals concession is 7 goals on Xg 1.6.he should be saving most of them.

Hats off to Ipswich, they fight every game, what they lack in skill they make up for in pure resilience and team belief. If they go up with Leicester then well done to them, they are currently beating Hull City 3-2 so they deserve all the accolades that comes with their success. 👍👍.

Ipswich are certainly the most resilient team in league

And Ipswich play more entertaining football than many of Leeds matches.

I would caveat that Baz…Ipswich games are entertaining rather than Ipswich play entertaining football; they always give up chances in their box, like last night.

Notwithstanding that, last nights game was a good watch and Ipswich played their part in that. They are very resilient, no doubt.

Where we are on the same page however is the difference in approach they had to a “must win” game. They clearly went for it whereas Leeds approach to the same games recently has been unfathonable.
