I wonder if most of us on here know nothing about football and talk utter bollocks. That would be strange considering how long we have watched it.
There are a lot of negative comments re farke below. But the trouble is, there are a lot of different issues with him. Not just one.
Favouritism.
Players positions.
Substitutions.
Tactics.
Formation.
Strange comments.
Ability to change a game. New ideas
Etc etc.
it is true we possibly could have got more from three games but we lost 2-0 at the weekend. Forget the stats. Mean jack rubbish really. 2-0 is being beaten. It's not unlucky. It's not last minute 1-0. It's having plenty of time to recover draw or turn it around. But we didn't couldn't.
That's reality. That's all that matters.
But Farke says stats matter and that our centre backs were to blame.
Surely he must be able to see the problems. Maybe he is unable to be self critical or flexible.
I get some like him and some don't and if we finish in 15 it will be acceptable.
I just don't get why everyone including farke can't see what's being done is not working.

Bright - to clarify, we probably had to pay Bam most of what was left on his contract - he wouldn't have walked for nowt. The only thing we saved was space in the physics room for one of these other finely tuned non scoring athletes.

Really. Our forwards over last few seasons have been woeful. Piroe the exception but at a lower level. In last two seasons they have been presented so many chances we had to score a few. Prem diff ball game. None are good enough. I’m actually very annoyed we have signed cal on a 3 year deal. Stupid thing to do. Should have been 1 with extension if we wanted.
Don’t want to be negative 😂
But we just have to buy a new striker in Jan and have him on bench. Kudos.

Will be watching the new Rangers gaffer very closely. Another huge job to pick them up. I like the guy, and his playing style / tactics. definitely a future option if he continues in the same vein up there.

Ed, I know I had a dig at the need for the optional dark mode, but with my dodgy eyesight, the ability to ramp up the text size when I don't have my reading specs readily to hand is a masterstroke. 🙂.

I see Stach is getting a lot of flack from some and notably from some gobsh782 YouTubers.
If I’m not wrong wasn’t Anton Stach a number 6 at his previous club yet the arrogant 1 plays him as more of an 8 despite the fact Ampadu has been poor the last few games as well.
Gaby is getting his “ flowers” yet some want to gloss over his mistakes in recent games costing us goals and points, 3 in the last 4 games I believe.
Is he Firpo in disguise? (Jokes)
The point is if the arrogant 1 played people in the positions where they caught our attention or was even willing to adapt to a formation that suits his playing staff then this mess might not be happening. Yes it was a mess on Saturday, we barely laid a glove on Burnley.
Farke loves his bullshot stats yet looks past the stats that show Bijol was one of the top defenders across Europe last season instead he sticks with Struijk who turns and closes down slower than the titanic.
He has to adapt and quickly or just get rid now before it’s too late, Novembers and December look awful fixtures wise and I like many fear january will be on us too late.
And don’t forget he was heavily involved in the recruitment.

I guess you are under the impression Dave that Leeds should be in the top half of the league, maybe playing for a Euro spot?
There were very fine margins against Burnley as are most games in the Premiership, they certainly didn’t play better than us, we also made more goal scoring opportunities than they did. They will not repeat that second wonder goal all season.

I honestly don’t see any real big problem here, we’ve started reasonably well and we’re not in the relegation zone, which in my opinion is better than I expected.
If we finish this season where we are now, believe me it will be a huge success.

We’ve still got injured key players to come back and a lot of new players still adjusting to the team and Farke’s methods.
If we can just keep our heads out of the relegation zone by Christmas then we’ve got a decent chance of finishing outside it come the end of season.

I’m under no illusion and I’ve always thought that this season is going to be a dog fight and nothing less.

Not at all pal, I want the best for my club and I personally don’t think the arrogant 1 is the best for the club.
Stick and i guarantee we get relegated.
I don’t like him and I don’t rate him.

And I do believe that the recruitment in the summer both in and out spanks of an internal acceptance that they have 1 eye on being back in the championship next year.

He doesn’t come across to me as an arrogant man, think he’s always been respectful especially to the fans. He’s not a Bielsa if you wanted to compare him to him, I don’t think there will be anyone at our club who will compare to Bielsa.
Farke also got us promoted with the title did he not?
The recruitment was pretty decent if you take into account how much we had to spend and no with no star player who wanted to leave to generate extra funds.
If you look at how we’ve played against teams like Bournemouth, Fulham and Spurs you could easily say on another day we could’ve beaten all three of them,
I’m backing Farke to keep us in the Premiership this season but I’m not backing him to rip up this league with a huge amount of goals.

During transfer window, narrative being spun by some on here was that when Burnley and Mackems were signing lots of players, people on here said oh hold on a minute

Both those clubs are only going to end up at a level we were already at, because both of them were so far behind us in quality

Well lads guess what Burnley looked better than us at weekend, no panic, no rush, they just were more assured and more confident in their game plan, so if their signings only brought them to our level, well how come they beat us?

Now I have said that to highlight the silly narrative that some put on their transfer window and the snails pace our window went, thus so me put that spin on it, rather than say, yes Leeds could be more active in window

Others are also saying oh we are 15th , we should be happy with that, well we could be lower after Friday

I understand staying up will be classed as our main goal this Seez

But Xmas is approaching and we all know, whose normally down there over Xmas / new year tends to be the 1's who sink down plug hole come April

Personally I don’t see Liverpool struggling to make top four (but lot depends on whether Bournemouth maintain their start) but think it was a very good summary of the big name players retained by slot.

Isak looked a shadow of his former self and yet Etitke has looked lively most games to date, very strange decision.

Similarly to ourselves I currently feel there are better options on the bench than are currently being entrusted with a start by DF.

Disappointing result and again very ineffective in front of goal, had some chances.
Makes the west ham game huge, at home, we have to win it.
I'd make changes ( sure DF won't) , i'd bring in Perri, Darlow done well but think we bought perri as 1st choice ( darlow was sloppy with kicking ball out, lead to there goal.
Harrison has to close down walker, he let him put cross in.
I'd also replace struijk with BJ, he poor at heading ball. He was a fault for their 2nd, his pass intercepted and slow, their player left him behind, thst then lead to 2nd.

Perri also poor at distribution, think he’ll stick with Darlow’s as he has earned that from recent games.
Don’t think players should lose their place from one below par game, however Struijk is walking a thin line to justify him starting further games, I think I’d only give him another game or two to impress. Bijol will I’m sure will get his opportunity.

Melbourne, harrison couldn't effectively close down walker because he had 2 players to mark, he was left alone, gudmundsson at fault as he was nowhere and didn't see the issue until too late.

Why give more games to impress Struik has had plenty of opportunity and failed to impress, let's just get ready for Championship football by failing to try different options every team we play know how we shall line up and operate, we are leaving ourselves open to loss after loss after loss unless we change things now not when we are bottom of the table, I have always stated to give DF the chance to prove himself but he is walking a thin line if he fails to see what we all see and let sentimentality overrule change when needed.

Exactly what did we have to lose keeping Bam Bam on our books - why pay him off when our other option turned out to be a free who we agreed to pay 5 million a year to for THREE years who has never exactly been a goal machine. I know the injury argument etc but the more options the more likely one of them will get on a scoring streak.
