Happy Sunday siblings, let's hope it gets even more smiley! Looking at the last 5 matches form wise it's plain to see how momentum is so important. We have 8 points from 15 available which is only bettered by the top 4.

Wet Spam, Burnley and Brighton have 2, Bournmouth 3, Spurs 4, Newcastle 5 and Florists 6. When you consider our run came out of 6 defeats in 7, very impressive. Long may it last 😁 UTWDTP to the tune of the Beegees Stayin Alive 🤍💛💙.

Interesting game today, if it hadn’t been for the useless Meslier we would’ve won our last encounter.

I think if we can get a win it will be very hard for three of the teams below us to win 3 more games than us second half of the season. Not impossible but we are in the driving seat now and have to keep our foot on the gas.


Sunderland def won’t be easy but if got a sneaky we will come away with 3 points. Not sure they can match our physical side and intensity.

Goid day for us. Spam lost 1:0 at home go Fulham, so we're still 6 points ahead of them, 10 better GD and a game in hand. Burnley 7 points back an Wolves 17. UTWDTP.

The next 3 games are going to be massive JR, get some points in the bag, open a gap and join the pack and it will get very interesting indeed, doubt any team is going to relish coming to ER the way things are at the moment, can't wait for the Man U match 😁🤪😜.

You can’t help feel what if we had lost to Man City (did we lose? ) and the turmoil that would of probably ensued.
What coach we would have now and the conversations would also be very different i’m sure.
This season for us still could crumble away with one or two serious injuries to key players but we still have a chance of staying up and it all hangs by a thread.
I’m just thankful we don’t have a knee jerk owner like Marinakis, we’re still in this with a shout thanks to Daniel Farke and his coaching staff plus our non trigger happy owners.

In Farke we trust, without him, we would be bust.

Tough game against Sunderland today, all depends on who wants it the most in my estimation.
If we don’t win this game, we will most certainly be relegated!

Onwards and Upwards.

I personally don’t believe in season defining games Ed, i'm just tempting some of our posters to maybe follow or challenge that statement.
It’s funny when you’re on a good role you don’t hear the, "it’s a must win game anymore"!

I feel we will be too physical for Sunderland, but let’s not ignore what a scalp this would be for Farke and his men if we can win this game to a Sunderland who have not lost at home this season.
If stats have anything to do with this game, we should be blown out of the water by Regis Le Bris team, this should be a great spectacle of two teams from the lower divisions who are here to make a statement about football.

In hindsight, was our summer window as good as Evans et al said it was (they rated it 8/ 10) and did Farke get the attacking options he needed, but didn't realise?

Were we too harsh on the 49ers and if so, does that mean we are in safe hands for January?

I don’t think it was a great window. Only farkes miraculous change of system saves us. I’d give the window 4.5.
Sign the right three players in January and I’ll increase it to 7.

Tricky one Dave on one hand we’re meant to have very little money, and everyone we would want to ship out Mess, Piroe and in particular Harrison are on astronomical deals, which will deter many suitors and if you were on their contracts would you want to go unless you could guarantee the same money.

Whoever we get I’m assuming will be on loans other than Okafor buddy who could be good on the wing.

Personally I’m not bothered about a 10 this season, our superpower has materialised as menaces from set pieces and big strong players who don’t get bullied off the ball.

Their new found confidence makes them look even talker more menacing at present so long may that continue

Therefore, if we strengthen personally think most effective signings would be more giants, for additional CB, CM, CF cover.

Stoke City it just for this season, get us established and release more funds and then we can think about more creative, technical type players.

Sell Byram, Piroe, mes, Harrison and maybe Gnonto if we get a good price for him.

Buy another CF so we can rotate between okafor, DCl and Nmecha. Another winger/ wing back for GG/ Bogle cover as they're essential to our plan (we only have JJ to cover two spots)

And maybe another RW/ forward who we can slip in if we change formation to 4-3-3 for certain games.

Should be achievable.

Selling Moretti could prove a mistake in my opinion, when firing he's a handful and will it upset Lewins supply line, I know he's of probably the highest value of what was said, but he's value to us could far outweigh any fee we'd make if he keeps fit and keeps playing well.

Xmas over in Oz and Boxing Day arrived, time for sales.
So thinking of sales, what are opinions on how many lufc will bring in, who would you go for, what positions and think any outgoings?
Rumors about CB, hope false rumors and not needed in my opinion
, if anything I’d potentially let Bournaw go if need to release any players to help influx.
For me it’s at least 2, would like 3 but can’t see it, think they now have a real chance of survival since man city game and change of formation, if no incomings in Jan, think we will drop and more likely relegation, how much do they want it?
My picks are for a CMF/ 10, Striker and winger.


I’d try get James macatee from Forest, not involved in his team and he could be that creative force that we need.
Not sure re striker, may have to look abroad, is Troy parrot available.?, I also think there are a few in prem that not regular starters and could improve us up top, BETO and AWONYI
Winger, do we try bring Solomon back, rumors of Sterling
Just hope board are up for challenge and get players in early, over to them, happy new year.

Macatee is a good player but I just don’t see him as a leedsie type player.
We definitely need to move on the likes of Harrison, meslier, Piroe and possibly Gnonto ( if he’s not starting games) the last 2 for good money.

For me we need
1x CB (loan) and loan out Bournaw
1x WB
1x 10
1 x striker

Possibly bring Largie back off his loan for cover.

IMHO, there will be no signings - just to expensive and the time it takes to integrate into the team, I just don't see them spending the money. Out goings definitely JH should be cut loose as well as Mez - but they will most likely keep them till we know if we survive.

Need to put wins in the bank, that's all. This year I think it will be minimum of 35 to 40 points to stay up so that's another 15 to 20 points (5 to 7 wins) I think that's do able .

We absolutely must sign back up for dcl. Ready or not.
Possibly winger too and centre back if born off. 3 have to come in and get rid of as many as possible. Mez. Harrison. Piroe. Etc.
