Reported that Phil Hay

believes Leeds United will likely be sold to San Francisco 49ers and Peter Lowy when Radz decides to sell up.

Sounds very plausible and logical ; would not surprise me if that happens at the end of next season 2022/ 2023 or even sooner.

1.) 11 Oct 2021 07:55:23
I can't see it happening as soon as that. Not with the 3 year pla to get into Europe and the stadium expansion.

2.) 13 Oct 2021 17:58:17
Indeed Alf. Radz has previously suggested he will step aside once the plan to get into Europe has been achieved, or if it becomes clear his ownership is holding the club back from achieving that goal.

Even though the Toon takeover could be seen as having a potential to send a seismic jolt through the plans of the other owners across the EPL and beyond, it currently seems unlikely to change any embryonic plans for a change in Leeds’ ownership. As the potential new owners, the 49ers and Lowy would seem likely to value Radz input, in terms of experience, contacts and investment through this vital next stage of the Club’s development. And I suspect Radz’s instinct, in terms of business and personal self-esteem would be to want to take on, rather than run from this new challenge.

Eduoard looking pretty useful with a good finish Palace drawing 2 2 without Zaha at Arsenal

hmm Leeds could really have done with Eduoard or someone like him along with Connor Gallagher also

Vieira has done quite well, bought well, Palace look better than last season.

1.) 19 Oct 2021 05:24:15
Agree Baz. don’t know why we weren’t looking at him, especially at that price.

2.) 19 Oct 2021 06:44:26
Baz Told you Palace would likely finish higher up the league than your prediction. Good side with Eze to return and the acquisition of Olise. The mistakes we've made in the window baffle.

3.) 19 Oct 2021 08:21:20
Very naive to think the midfield and strikers were adequate.
You must always always look to improve.

4.) 19 Oct 2021 10:28:38
You just always look to have backup. With our injury record over the last few years it was naive in the extreme to expect our first team to stay fully fit.

18 Oct 2021 17:38:26
For Leeds to avoid bottom 3, or certainly bottom 6 we need each and everyone of Raph, Bamford and KP playing in our EPL matches all season, not missing chunks of games, here's hoping!

Anyone have any news on Bamford and KPs injury latest?

Also Baby Shack looking good at RB but still think his energy, drive, tackling and pass completion would be even better suited and needed in CM ;

Bielsa needs to trust and play Drameh at RB, Baby Shack CM.

Koch's issue has been resolved seemingly, just regain sharpness now next few weeks

Not 1 to goss but word online is Dallas issue is a domestic 1, hence being pulled from NI squad also for personal reasons

Something definitely up there

Hopefully Luke gets back soon enough, maybe he was carrying a bit of soreness since start of season, hence his poor form also?

Paddy's absence definitely highlights his worth to our 1st team, he never stops

We all knew Raph wasn't going to play Saturday, so why oh why did he bring him down? Here's hoping this slump has now ended, wolves are going to be buoyed up after Saturday.

2.) 18 Oct 2021 19:07:05
Thanks for the info/ updates Chris;

indeed getting Bambam aback asap is crucial, Leeds play so much better when he is in the side.

Also really hope and need Dallas and Harrison, who were fabulous for Leeds last season, can get over any issues/ loss of form this season asap

2020/ 2021 season Harrison, Dallas and Klich contributed to a lot of GOALS between them ( 20 GOALS AND 15 ASSISTS) Leeds need those sort of stats again from them this season!

3.) 18 Oct 2021 19:22:40
Raph flew into London so as close to go to Soton as Leeds and he was with his teammates.

Philips injury could be a complex one. Apparently it has aggravated his hip as well as affecting his calf so no return date yet. May be a while.

4.) 18 Oct 2021 20:59:49
Thanks Chris, if you are right then MB should tell the lad Go home, sort it out, get your head together and come back refreshed.

5.) 18 Oct 2021 21:12:50
Baz have you seen much of Drameh because I’m pretty sure MB has. Funny how some say we need to buy loads of players yet say we need to play the young lads on another thread?

6.) 18 Oct 2021 22:13:43
Yes Corky I have seen Drameh play plenty of times last season and this ; I think he could cope ( well) at RB in the first team

as for your other confused point, so what?

we are currently outside of a transfer window right now ( so can't buy anyone ) with a load of injuries including RB Ayling so yeah why not give Drameh a chance to play in the first team as I suggested at the moment ( he continues to be on the 1st team bench why not use him now at some point eh fella?! )

7.) 18 Oct 2021 22:49:38
Maybe that particular game Cork,

Just a thought, we were very very threadbare last Saturday.

8.) 18 Oct 2021 23:22:33
Chris - apparently Raphinha was keen to play Saturday, and the Club did all it could to make that an option. They shared with Chelski and Villa the cost of a private jet, with bedrooms etc to maximise the opportunity for recovery, to take Raphinha, Thiago Silva and Douglas Luiz to London - from where Raphinha was transported to the team’s hotel. On the day, Bielsa decided his recovery wasn’t sufficient and decided against the risk. Incidentally, Douglas Luiz started for Villa, and completed 67 minutes, and Emiliano Martinez, who played for Argentina on the Friday, played the whole match v Wolves, so it wasn’t the travelling that ruled out Raphinha, but the minutes and intensity of his play.

9.) 19 Oct 2021 06:47:09
Thanks for that Uncle Victor Clueless.

16 Oct 2021 17:51:28
Other than our BEST players in particular staying injury free : Does anyone have any other positives/ solutions for this season moving forward?

I wonder if my ole mucka Mr Hottub Axe ,

along with VO fave cheerleader Clueless

and Top 6 this season sure thing OP

will venture to give their views on the game and this season moving forward.

1.) 16 Oct 2021 19:07:01
We need to scrape enough points together this season to survive, then pray the youth come good for next season I think.

2.) 16 Oct 2021 19:24:33
But why should that be the case Alfie? A joke that a club wanting to increase the stadium to 50 k we have Adam Forshaw as our saving grace . Radz needs to wake up rapidly and get Victor to start finding a player or 3.

3.) 16 Oct 2021 20:01:59
BazVid, not seen the game. It wasn't televised so no idea how you have seen it and can give such a downbeat post

Or maybe it's just the results you look at?

As for how we change our fortunes. I am seeing PL football and exciting football, why do I want to change?

You're the one that's unrealistic.

4.) 16 Oct 2021 20:47:22
touchy Axey
dont forget to turn the hot tub up it seems it is on the cold side right now.

5.) 16 Oct 2021 21:03:18
The game was televised Axe any decent IPTV subscription had it, so your welcome fella 👍.

6.) 17 Oct 2021 00:01:01
Indeed. Get yourself iptv and you can see every game axe. Didn't make very good viewing sadly. Awful performance.

16 Oct 2021 16:40:10
so no plussed with VO, MB AR ever since the pre season and transfer window and so it continues

err reading the comments below I am surprised that posters are themselves surprised how inept we are : we are a squad lacking in depth and quality

summer window enough said on that

take out KP, Raph, Bambam ( the leaving of quality players last summer ) leaves a deficient squad/ team to cope

Summerville, Gelhardt ? bielsa won't play them

very concerned by Bielsa, Orta and Radz significant and dangerous regression of the club this season : and god help next season too

here is hoping for a late equalizer for Leeds.

BazVid

1.) 16 Oct 2021 16:57:15
Gelhardt and Summerville both got on but had no impression on the game at all. As suspected not good enough/ ready for prem league yet. Can't see us getting anything against Wolves next week and then on a damaging downward spiral. I seriously think we will go down this season.

2.) 16 Oct 2021 17:34:41
You may be right Alf but a little unfair to judge players on snippets. Some/ most players need a few games to feel as tho they fit. Trouble is that Bielsa for all he is lauded as giving youth a chance does actually seem to stand up to that tag. U23s get minutes when Bielsa has no other choice to turn to but they have to fight hard to overcome Bielsa's love of "favourites".

15 Oct 2021 12:04:48
This annoyingly irritatingly difficult season
sadly continues to play out to inevitable outcomes with Raph's gobby agent Deco talking up a move just 7 games into the season ( nice one Deco class )

This is where Radz and Orta need to steadfastly and stubbornly ensure that they indeed get top dollar for our best players as so far their record of doing so is not very good ( Roofe, Jannson etc)

Even Cellino considerably outperforms Radz and Orta in getting top dollar for our best players in McCormack

Raphinha's transfer fee should be sky high as he is now a proven talent at international level, there will likely be considerable competition with many clubs wanting to buy him next summer ( only an idiot would sell him in Jan) when he will still have 2 years on his contract ;

so Radz and Orta will be in a very strong position to get top dollar for Raph and so there will be no excuses for them not to attain at least £80 to 90 million ( £100 million should be aimed for ) Raph is better and has more talent than say Grealish and if he were English the fee should/ would be far more than £100 million.

BazVid

1.) 15 Oct 2021 14:28:32
Baz would it be silly to now suggest our total farce of a pre season recruitment drive was a plan to stagnate and knowingly drive Raph to move on for a ridiculous amount of money for Radz?

If this season stays on its current mediocrity trajectory it's going to be very hard to both keep Kal + attract decent talent when Raph goes in summer .

I know the Radz thing sounds mental but where huge cash is concerned, I always go by the Machiavellian mantra.

2.) 15 Oct 2021 14:53:09
Its certainly a feasible hypothesis Chris.

3.) 15 Oct 2021 19:25:33
Now we really are getting into the realm of fantasy and bulls#*t.

4.) 16 Oct 2021 09:56:35
Clue, as I stated I know it sounds mental, but does £80 mill sound mental to you? Decos going to say Raph wants Champs league football, Leeds obvs can't offer that

Had Leeds spent big money again pre season on a CF + CAM then our chances would be a whole lot greater, but would have left a big credit footprint

Now here's where I find it a possibility, obvs for his stadium plan Radz needs to finance that, diligence +credit checks will need doing, very little spent this summer, return of fans, and the big fat cheque for the sale of Raph coming in June will be a whole lot easier for a bank to sanction the cash needed

Why is it bull? He's a successful businesses man more than a Leeds fan, it's ALWAYS ABOUT THE MONEY

So enough of your moral high ground with your posts which you seem to think are more worthwhile than others once your view is not reciprocated .

5.) 16 Oct 2021 13:08:13
Chris - I certainly don’t think my posts are more worthwhile than any others on here.

However, getting back to why your previous comment seemed like fantasy and bs. Firstly, you said it in this hypothesised scenario the hoped for sale of Raphinha would have been to generate ‘a ridiculous amount of money for Radz’ - suggesting that Radz would be trying to get money for himself rather than the Club. Even if we were to take it that was not what you intended to suggest, the second point is that at the time when this supposed plan was formed, there was little if any significant indication that Raphinha was in Tite’s plans for Brazil this season, and with the number of other forward/ wing options Brazil have at their disposal there was absolutely no guarantee that Raphinha would be called up before next June. It is only his appearances and performances for Brazil which have pushed his potential selling price to ‘ridiculous’ levels. Even if we were to believe that his call ups were, all being equal, a racing certainty, such a fast and skilful player is at significant risk of injury, with opponents routinely making at the very least professional fouls on him to stop a rapid break on turnover, like Fernandinho’s cynical foul last season. A more serious injury this season could have prevented him making an appearance for Brazil, and having now made the national squad, and made such an impression, he will have even more games in which he could become injured, which could be significant enough to prevent a sale in June or at least reduce his value. Radz and co would not have deliberately held back our progress, and indeed put us at greater risk of relegation in the very uncertain hope that Raphinha’s could be sold for a ridiculous amount of money. Not forgetting that the 49ers are now 37% owners of the Club, and while some on here seem to be happy to attempt to characterise Radz as a two-bit chancer, it would seem difficult to paint the 49ers or their investors (particularly longtime Leeds-supporting Peter Lowy and his family) in such a way.

6.) 16 Oct 2021 16:23:31
Clue regardless of raphs appearance for Brazil this past fortnight, on the back of the season he had last year there was always going to be a huge mark up on his sale next summer

Regarding payouts for Radz are you that naive to think Radz has not insulated his own PERSONAL INTERESTS when he diluted his stake?

Seriously you are being a bit silly by believing that Radz has all his cards on the table for all to see, there's bound to be caveats inserted into share sale which guarantees Radz cash from all angles .

Again less of the expletives please, your view is your view I wouldn't use the terms you do as I ain't 14, disagree all you like but don't use the terms as it let's you down pal 👍.

yeah 4 goals in one European match for Daka at just £22 milion ( cost less than Rodrigo and DJ )

I feel a tad envious of Leicester impressive recruitment ( a very good DoF? and / or they have a brilliant extensive scouting network? )

Class

I certainly recall riding that victory wave of that exuberating second half of the season tis true Class ; certainly don't recall last season calling for Bielsa to be sacked ( unless I was inebriated at the time)

Sadly this 2nd season the which 6 teams are worse than Leeds question seems even more pertinent but love to be proved wrong.
