Having read the many good posts regarding the point at Brighton and the spend on a good keeper my thoughts, for what they are worth are that it was a decent point which could have easily gone either way. All good teams start with a very solid defence and JT certainly helps us produce that.

All professional sportsmen thrive on confidence and we should all get behind all of our team and especially JT and cheer them on whenever possible.

They are doing great this season so far and long may it last.

Great things coming with ground improvements and thus more match day revenue.

Let's enjoy the ride with positivity.

Good post, Prime, I agree, great start to the season! Could have been home and dry by halftime yesterday with a little bit of luck!
Re JT, he's not going to be invincible, but for the first time in quite a few seasons, I have confidence in our keeper.

Money well spent, in my humble opinion! Looking forward to what this season brings! Have a feeling it will be more exciting than some imagine. MOT

Agree re JT and defence. We will not concede too many this season. How nice is it to think that even when our defenders are beaten, we still think the goalie will save it. He is not perfect, but the confidence he gives us and the team must be priceless. ?

In my book a very good point well earned after a first half drubbing where best thing to be said was “at least it’s only one”.

Would be good to get a few more on live chat- more the merrier.

Nothing I posted on the live chat came through. Can someone look at that, please? Posts on this come through fine?

{Ed033's Note - Leeds live chat has an approved posters list, to keep the Riff-raff off. :)

It says "Please note that if you're not on this approved list, then you can read this Live Chat, but can't post on this live chat." at the top of the live chat.

You can ask an Ed to be placed on the approved list.

Question. Are we the only club to have had two x managers at this World Cup?

primerustler

1.) 04 Jul 2026 21:49:47
3 ex managers Prime.

Marcelo with Uruguay.
Brenty with Canada.
TC with Panama.

And yep.

2.) 04 Jul 2026 21:54:54
Three, actually: Marcello Bielsa (Uruguay) , Jesse Marsch (Canada) and Thomas Christensen (Panama) .

3.) 04 Jul 2026 22:11:12
Beat me to it, Baz. ?

Having watched France v Norway, I for one am happy we never signed Strand Larsen.

He was very poor. Thought the exact same!

2.) 27 Jun 2026 00:37:55
Snap! My missus could have taken a better pen than his pathetic attempt.

3.) 27 Jun 2026 01:27:59
Bloody hell. How good do France look? They will take some beating.
Fun fact.
I watched the mini match (30 min) of the France Norway game and it didn't include Norway's goal. ?

4.) 27 Jun 2026 03:09:58
I'm quite disappointed in Norway's approach - resting 10 players. I think they could have given them a game. The 2nd string created enough chances.

5.) 27 Jun 2026 08:46:04
We dodged a bullet with Larson. He looks very ordinary.

6.) 27 Jun 2026 09:25:29
Goals change games, as we all know. With the score at 3-1, Strand Larsen fluffed a penalty, and soon after missed a decent scoring opportunity. If Haaland had been on the pitch, and both had fallen to him, it could easily have been 3-3, and Norway with the momentum.

Then, what might have happened? Yes, France looked good, but defensively, Norway were poor. At least my nomination of Dembele for the golden boot may be back on track.

Great to see an English team in all white win a European trophy. Let's hope it's not too long until that team in Leeds United!

Would be good Prime, esp if it were the Champions League. ?

For me personally, I am not sure about how high the quality, and therefore prestige, (with the quality of teams that play in it) there is in winning, particularly the Euro Conference League (and even the Europa League) .

As a lover of 60s, 70s, 80s football, the UEFA Cup (teams qualified for it having finished from 2nd to 5th in their respective leagues) is/was far superior in quality to both the Euro Conference League and Europa League, my humble opinion!

2.) 21 May 2026 09:37:50
P.S. I was hoping Freiburg beat Villa.

3.) 21 May 2026 10:21:31
Why would you want that, Baz? I get what you are saying re Euro in the past, and it being watered down now. But tell that to a team that wins it. We should always support eng teams in Europe. Unless Devon, of course.

4.) 21 May 2026 10:43:57
I even want Scotland to win so long as they're not playing one of the home nations. I don't think the sentiment is generally reciprocated. ?

5.) 21 May 2026 12:17:03
Not for me, Aus, not just Man U but many others too.
Dune.. Scotland? Woah.

6.) 21 May 2026 13:12:49
You don't even support England at international tourneys, Aus.

7.) 21 May 2026 13:23:56
? So true Alf re Mr Aussie.

8.) 21 May 2026 13:56:03
Irrelevant, Alf. For future reference.
I prefer Leeds and English clubs - Devon in Euro.
I prefer England rugby teams over Aus.
And I prefer Aus cricket tactics over England, although I would one day like England cricket tactics to grow up and beat Aus. You mistake my comments previously. I simply offer an alternative opinion to the narrow-minded.

9.) 21 May 2026 15:48:27
I always support English teams and home nations. Don't care if they don't reciprocate.

10.) 21 May 2026 17:17:29
I miss the UEFA Cup format tbh. Two-legged knockout straight from Rd 1. It added a point of difference to the group stage or league format we see nowadays. Not as lucrative, but big clubs always had to be a little on their toes.

I wish the Champions League had their current format. UEFA maybe had the traditional 4-team group stage format, then knockouts. Conference League had two-legged knockouts straight from Rd 1. Different formats would be more interesting.

11.) 21 May 2026 18:37:41
Indeed, Ealing..much more interesting.

12.) 21 May 2026 19:56:48
You prefer sandpaper type cricket tactics Aus?

13.) 22 May 2026 00:19:21
I prefer adult tactics and winning, Ani.

All credit to Southampton tonight, so far anyway, they have defended with spirit and determination ( and a little luck ) It just goes to show what can be done if you fight as if your life depends upon the result.
