Lost for words. That was atrocious. Talk about curb my enthusiasm.
Honestly. That was the worst I've seen us play for I don't know how long. Not one good thing to say.
Looks like the whole team lost their form during the international break. No thumbs up to any player.
Clueless in possession. No imagination or attacking ideas. Far too slow going forward. Bullied off or from the ball.
Good we are practicing shooting in training. That's really paying off.
Sach and struik and cal should not be starting.
Genius idea to bring ao on in defense. Full marks Farke.
I could go on and on.
Strange we didn't buy a striker in the window. Bambi is better than cal and I never thought I'd be saying that.
This team is not better than last year.
This team is in deep rubbish chaps.
Still I'm glad we sensibly withdraw from negotiations on some of the players and let Sunderland buy them.
This is one major major major **** up.
I'm back opti mate.

Well, this was an abysmal performance, and whilst Farke is totally inflexible and sticks to his guns, he is not the only one to blame. The team today was weaker than last season's, and for that, blame lies with blunderwood. The guy is totally inadequate, and who appointed him to should be the first out of the door. His buying has been atrocious, and the attack today league 1 standard.
Come January and if we need to make signings, who would be confident that he would be able to bring the right people in.
Also, Farke does not trust his youngsters, in an injury situation like this, at least give one a change, they can't surely do worse than our two wingers today.
19 Oct 2025 06:36:08
Agree. One big mess from woe to go. Disgrace. Absolute sub champ standard.
Never in a million years going to score enough goals. We are in the mix lads.
No paddle.
18 Oct 2025 21:50:22
OK we lost we deserved to lose too slow going forward etc. But why slag Ba off at least he had a worthwhile shot on target whereas the one who is paid the bucks to do that only had 1 shot which cleared the stand a fit Bamford would have done better.
18 Oct 2025 22:42:18
Becuse he should off buried it! He is league 1 at best making a fourtunee for being crap!
18 Oct 2025 23:41:38
Worthwhile shot on target?! You his mother or agent?
19 Oct 2025 05:44:38
The whole team were rubbish. Not just ba.
18 Oct 2025 21:14:11
Whilst one win does not define a season so a few losses does not make us relegation fodder.
I have to say that we should be content with 8 points and 15th; however with a few tweaks and one or two additions life could be a whole lot more pleasant.
I have a lot of time for Farke but I feel that his persistence with his "favourite" 11 will lead us to more disappointment and him, headlong towards the jobcentre. He is not a bad manager, as many would have us believe, but his intransigence is a flaw (tho shared by many many managers) . Should he just merely loosen his gamecard then, I predict, brighter days are ahead; for his base thinking (for the first year back) is sound.
It does therefore beggar belief that he refuses to see what is holding him back (and pushing him towards the door at the same time? ) .
Whilst Aaronsen covers every blade of grass his threatening creative involvement is near zero and until the main man sees this and takes action then I am afraid, more of the same will follow.
As for the rest I am not ecstatic but quietly content and pray that come January we dive in for Hamer (or simi) and bring Largie back (and take action) then we will be safe (not quite fighting for Europe) but comfortably safe.
18 Oct 2025 22:47:24
I don’t understand why it is not clear that if James or Gnonto were fit then Aaronson would not be a starter.
Is that not obvious? because to me it is.
As for Hamer, he is better off where he is.
Also we can not buy players in January unless we sell some.
18 Oct 2025 19:56:17
It's been a while
Underwood out.
18 Oct 2025 21:16:29
Whilst not 100% sure I am leaning towards your thinking. The man, so far, has not received the flak he deserves.
18 Oct 2025 19:34:46
Game wasn’t great, that’s three times now Burnley have got the better of us, with less than quarter of the possession.
Same managers, similar playing squads, similar coaching records.
Sadly, you don’t get too long in the epl as Ange found out today, but BA, Pascal and JH must be dropped for next game, and look a level below what we need.
We’re creating so little our two brightest sparks last year were Manor and AO can understand not playing Manor but AO, we’ve got to change and change quickly as this will become habitual.
Better players on the bench than on the pitch today, and whatever we think of the recruitment that’s on DF to continue to play the same players and same formation.
West Ham is a must win game now.
18 Oct 2025 20:06:44
Go with that Class, Arrosson the new Tyler Robert’s.
Crap but still gets a start, will cost Farke his job. He is too arrogant to admit his mistakes. Still ALAW.
18 Oct 2025 21:19:29
Whoa Class, halfway thro October and were using that sort of language?
PS you may be right!
18 Oct 2025 21:19:47
The midfield today passed the ball so slow. Ampadu took at least three touches to move the ball and the geordie geezer was even worse. Stach is getting worse every week too. This is worrying as i thought our midfield was the strongest position.
18 Oct 2025 22:41:23
Probably right Leo that’s it is still only October, and we’ve had a lot of tight games near misses but we’re in danger of being Burnley 2.0 we’ve tonnes of possession but it’s mainly backwards and sideways and were creating very little.
I would definitely play AO, Bijol and JJ next game and push Bogle and possibly Gudmundsson forward it cannot be weaker than we were today.
It was a very average Burnley side and we never looked like getting through them.
18 Oct 2025 22:56:55
I think it’s way too premature to be taking about season defining games. Today was a disappointing game, I believe we will have a very positive reaction against West Ham.
Let’s hope our injured trio of wingers are back to full fitness asap.
18 Oct 2025 19:10:19
If someone told me back in May LUFC would be starting Harrison and Aaronson in a game I would have called the men in the white coats for them.
18 Oct 2025 19:37:59
For most of the time Harrison was on the field, he was playing the wrong way.
18 Oct 2025 20:59:15
Yet Harrison created our best chance!
18 Oct 2025 21:32:32
Yet Harrison missed two good chances?
18 Oct 2025 18:36:12
Ladies, gentlemen, boys and girls.
My thinking is this, and it’s quite simple really.
The board/ recruitment team never really committed to the Premier League this summer.
My opinion is that they always had and have 1 eye on being back in the championship again next season.
That’s why I believe they stuck with Farke, he is proven at Championship level but by no means Premier League level.
They did the exact same with the playing squad, exactly the reason they sold nobody of any significance ( Struijk, Tanaka, Gnonto, James or Piroe)
Nmecha offers absolutely nothing, DCL is our best option but service is poor and very little support around him, and we probably needed better in the summer.
I think we all saw today’s lineup and scratched our heads, Harrison was mental beaten by seeing Walker on the team sheet, Aaronson is pathetically bad at this level. I’m staggered that Bijol can’t get a sniff, said it since we appointed Farke he’s a few trick pony and it’s showing.
January window has to be massive, even more so if we don’t get all 3 points against Wet Spam on Friday.
18 Oct 2025 19:35:05
After that performance, let's hope we are still in the mix in January. Didn't our MD Robbie Evans say in a recent interview that he was hoping we wouldn't be doing any transfer business in January?
18 Oct 2025 21:24:57
I think that boat has sailed Feath. We need a Hamer type and a proven goalscorer (min) That's hoping Bijol is good and the God of injuries smiles kindly upon us.
PS I hope we don't need a striker. I pray DCL finds his form with the old adage "he just needs a goal! ".
19 Oct 2025 05:17:01
He’s got a goal
Yep.
A goal. Whoopedeedooo.
18 Oct 2025 18:04:23
Well sibl8ngs, I am hoping that the performance today was an anomaly and a massive kick up the posterior for DF. So do predictable to keep the same formation and put JH in and BA AGAIN. He has to think outside the box ie no Okafor, Willy and DJ not fit so ADAPT the system go 532, play JJ rb and put Boges rw. Anything, anything but stick with that today, honestly he is going to self fulfill the prophecy if he font get his head out of his arse over BA.
18 Oct 2025 18:33:34
He shall do more or less the same. thing next game, leadership from sidelines desperately needed .
18 Oct 2025 19:06:57
The most predictable manager in the EPL.
Scott Parker knew exactly what team and what system we would play today.
