Can’t we insist on them just giving us Lewandoski and Bardghji and we call it quits?

However Joseph, although he’s only scored two goals, I feel his time away from the club can only be beneficial for the young man, so long as he is playing regularly.

I do hope not Cumbrian. Gerrard simply can't cut it as a manager - even with the success he bought to Rangers. Let's face it, next doors cat could do a half decent job at Celtic or Rangers, there's no competition up there but down in the prem it's a totally different story. He couldn't hack it at the Villa yet Emery comes in and transformed the same players into a winning outfit.

I know this pairing was favoured by Eddie Gray before they appointed Farke. He believes it would be a solid management team.
I’m not sure Gerrard is any good, but maybe with Gary Mac along side him, it could work?

We are 8 games in to t 38 game season. Maybe we should just accept the obvious and, see that this season is going to be a slog.
More losses than wins with some teams showing the gulf in class. When it sinks in to some that we are at big school now and the playground could get rough. The only aim is get your head down and survive any encouragement is more the gratefully recieved. To any who thought this season would be a cakewalk, the word delusion springs to mind and as for Farke and tactics? I too am baffled at times but calling for wholesale changes will help no one. You and I know (and this site shows) What a mess it would be if we all were in charge at ER. So for better or for worse let's just give the man some breathing space, support the team, the club, and stop calling for heads.

Leodis, you're assuming another manager wouldn't do better. That Farke is getting more than a pint out of a pint pot with the players, he isn't.
There is more evidence to show that he can't do that job, than there is evidence that he can.
We will beat west ham, a team that could be beat by a starting line up that included Hellen Keller, Stephen hawking, ray Charles and Stevie wonder, and people will say "see! He can do the job".
Yes this season is going to be a battle but we have dropped points that we can't afford to.

Leo, not 1 poster on here was under any illusion that this was going to be a doddle
Football for clubs like ours is good and bad
And if we do fail this Seez I would rather fail with effort then dross witnessed at weekend
Backwards, sidewards is horrible
Posters had been saying Lewin thrives on box delivery, well Farke stood on sidelines at weekend and witnessed complete opposite of that
And remained totally mute, maybe team needs more in game management then just half time
Then there's Baracus, who he keeps playing, whose greatest achievement in a game is not falling on his arse a dozen times
Things need to change sharpish, and again I reiterate I not calling for his head, just a different approach.

Respectfully disagree Leo, the very definition of insanity is…. “Is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result".
Plus it would be a boring old banter site if we just accepted it all, to give Daniel more space.
For instance, from my own perspective to start with our front three and to have expected us to score the requisite amount of goals for a win was borderline delusional in my opinion.
Some people like to vent, rant and just because I generally do not, doesn’t mean they’re wrong or delusional, it’s an increasing common societal tactic to deride someone’s perspective, simply because their views don’t match or agree with your own.
The banter site (I believe) exists to encompass our broad but clearly dysfunctional family and all of us have the option to simply ignore posts we disagree with should we wish to, but cancel culture is the scourge of the modern age, again in my humble opinion.
I certainly don’t want DF head at this stage of the season, but I definitely would like to see changes made for Friday, as to do otherwise may once again test that insanity definition.
It’s an interesting game, I have it as must win given our upcoming run of fixtures, but I fully understand and accept why others say it is not.

Well I’m glad that’s sorted then Aus, our opinions are wrong and yours is right, fine if you say so.
There seems to be a section of disgruntled fans towards Farke’s methods of which some want him to leave and others want him to make wholesale changes to his tactics and players.
Firstly changing does not always guarantee a positive outcome especially in the short term as it normally takes time for the players to adjust to the new coach’s plans. There doesn’t appear to be the so called new manager bounce at West Ham on Forest so far!
Secondly finding a new manager, who wants a previously failed manager from another club? I certainly don’t and any high profile manager who has been sacked would not want to come to a non champions league club like Leeds.
So that would mean poaching a manager which costs millions in compensation and then say to yourself who?, would Glasner, Iraola or Silva want to come to Leeds? I very much doubt it.
Something to ponder on when getting in Farke's back with all the heavy criticism he’s been receiving.
Strange that only a short while ago, some fans were saying it’s the 49er’s fault and not Farke’s for not investing in more and better quality players in a he summer, now that’s changed to a direct assault on Farke’s methods and tactics.
Make your minds up, which is it?

Who wants a previously failed manager?
OP 99.5% of them are all failed managers, it's the way it's always been
The 9'ers brought criticism of themselves on themselves by Mr Maratthe ridiculous pre window comments, , deals in sleep, targets identified, data driven, blah blah blah muck
We have been crying out for a striker for seasons now
And what we get? A freebie + a crock, so that where that's aimed
Fast forward to your best pal, it appears he's caught for ideas when we go behind, picking totally out of form players, and won't blood new players even though we could do with just that, then his default tactic
Wait till 70mins plus, to make changes, now Mr Maratthe isn't involved in any of that it Mr Farke, that must take that flack
So unsurprisingly from that that's where Mr Farkes culpability is, it's not moved from Ato B without reason, rumour has it Farke has 3 gAmes to save his job, and if he again picks Brendan Friday night, then I will join Farke out brigade, regardless of result.

Chris, Daniel Farke is not my mate, I’ve never met him and i’m not likely to.
I defend him because I don’t think he deserves the massive amount of criticism he receives, posters were relentless in their criticism of him last season yet we won the title with promotion and it’s of no surprise to me that his haters will continue with their undeserved diatribe no matter what during this campaign in the premiership.
So far he has racked up enough points to keep us just above the relegation zone after eight games, I’m happy with that considering the way we are playing.
if he continues that and there’s no suggestion in my mind that he can’t, picking up the odd points here an there, then he might succeed in keeping us up in his first season with our club in the Premiership.
Not every Leeds fan will be happy with just survival but that's their choice of opinion and I accept that.
It is of my opinion however and I accept the fact we will lose more games than win and that can be against any team in this league. For me, so long as we play positively in defense and attack and stay in contention of survival then I want Farke to continue his work with our team in keeping us up.

I wonder if most of us on here know nothing about football and talk utter bollocks. That would be strange considering how long we have watched it.
There are a lot of negative comments re farke below. But the trouble is, there are a lot of different issues with him. Not just one.
Favouritism.
Players positions.
Substitutions.
Tactics.
Formation.
Strange comments.
Ability to change a game. New ideas
Etc etc.
it is true we possibly could have got more from three games but we lost 2-0 at the weekend. Forget the stats. Mean jack rubbish really. 2-0 is being beaten. It's not unlucky. It's not last minute 1-0. It's having plenty of time to recover draw or turn it around. But we didn't couldn't.
That's reality. That's all that matters.
But Farke says stats matter and that our centre backs were to blame.
Surely he must be able to see the problems. Maybe he is unable to be self critical or flexible.

If he was that bad as you and others claim Aus then I can assure you that 100% we would have not have won promotion from arguably the most difficult and challenging league in the world. It’s as simple as that.
I think at the end of the day the fans who just don’t like Farke whether that maybe professionally or personally have to just accept that he is the one in the hot seat and is the coach of Leeds Utd and not them, whether they like it or not.
The bottom line is in a situation like our club as a newly promoted side, the objective is only to survive the first season up.
If we start losing game after game and look like we are a team that is just cannon fodder for the rest of the league, then ultimately, like any other team in this situation he will more than likely be sacked sooner than later.
Conversely if he can keep the team within reach of survival and playing football which is competitive then it’s also likely he be given the chance to use his methods to continue his campaign in keeping our club in the Premiership.
I accept that fans are nervous of our position but we are not top of the league in the Championship now, the Premiership is miles above it in quality. I think one or two are perhaps focusing a little too much on Sunderland’s very fortunate start, you can be assured by January/ February they will scraping for survival like us.
We are fortunate this season in the Premiership that there are a few teams like Wolves, West Ham and Forest are all struggling for one reason or another, but that may change as the season progresses, but because of there poor start it might give the promoted teams a chance to stay in contention.
If the story is of just not liking Daniel Farke because it fulfills an agenda then you will always be dissatisfied no matter what, as some fans always are.

I didn’t see the Burnley game as bad as some call it. Yes it was disappointing on my behalf because we missed at least two tap in goals.
Parker will frustrate a lot of visiting teams at Turf Moor simply by the way they play. Even Liverpool only scraped a last minute winner against them.
It’s still very early days to see improvements as you call it. I understand time is a luxury that few can afford in the bottom half of the Premiership but getting a win at home on Friday night will change the complexion a bit.
Make no mistake Aus this is going to be a nail biting ride to stay in this league, calling for the manager’s head every time you lose a game like some clubs are performing is not going to help. I just hope that they keep swapping and changing theirs coach’s in their desperation as that will bode better for us.

You saw a very below par game against Burnley, I didn’t, we created the chances but didn’t convert them which is disappointing but we didn’t play badly.
I prefer to take on the Bielsa methodology, stick to plan A but just do it better.
With Aaronson his time is limited as soon as James and Gnonto are back to fitness, Aaronson’s season will be effectively over. I don’t rate Aaronson or Harrison at all and I believe our attacking will be more effective without them.
As for Struijk from the very start of the season he has merited his start, but the last 2 or 3 games his performances have dropped and I can see Farke’s reacting very soon if he doesn’t improve.
Making knee jerk reactions every game by changing the line up will upset the continuity of the team, players can go through bad patches but I feel the remedy is to keep playing, within reason to iron out the player’s lack of confidence or errors.
Players also have the opportunity to impress the coach when they come on as sub, it’s up to them to seize that opportunity, and I'm not seeing that from the likes of Tanaka or Piroe yet.

Opti, if you didn't think the Burnley game was as bad as it been made out, then I wonder if you're paid for by the club, a happy clapper, or someone not entirely cracking when it comes to understanding tactics and man management.
We all have our opinions and yours is no more or less valid than mine or anyone else's.
But sideways tippy tappy football at 2-0 down? Throwing in three strikers anywhere to hope things change? Persisting with a starting line up instead of changing formation to suit?
Blaming the defence when £30 million of Farke's signings sit on bench (while complaint he wasn't bought players) it veers away from opinion and into objective reality that we were terrible.
And while the players take some blame, it all comes down to management.
Managing football players is no different from managing a department or production team. A good manager will see them working cohesively, positively and the results will speak for themselves.
A bad manager propagates negativity, chaos, mistrust and a bad working atmosphere.

Will be watching the new Rangers gaffer very closely. Another huge job to pick them up. I like the guy, and his playing style / tactics. definitely a future option if he continues in the same vein up there.

I think it’s not a good move for him Bright, there’s too much at stake at Rangers and the fans will unlikely give him the time he would need to sort out their mess.
He is a good and upcoming young coach who is still gaining experience. He’s probably looking at how Gerrard made it there but I have a feeling it’s not going to go the same way for him.
So many others turning down the appointment tells you a lot about the predicament that lies ahead.
He will literally have to hit the ground running he can not afford to lose any games and that is a huge ask.
I think if he waited a while he would’ve got a decent appointment in the Championship eventually and could progress from there.

At the moment Aus, I can see Celtic getting 2nd!
I believe the guy is tactically astute enough to get a much better tune out of them, but that any difference won't be seen until the New year when he's got their fitness levels up to the standard required to follow his gameplan.
I tend to agree OP, that it could be an awful move for his rep, hence my interest in Seeing his development and achievements up there. I have a sneaky suspicion that he can and will turn their season around, but it will be next season a real difference is season.
Whatever happens, the stock response will be "it's only SPL! " 😬😂.

In Scotland, Celtic are almost always going to finish top, so finishing 2nd only requires a competent Championship level squad, and Rangers are that so no reason they can't finish 2nd.
