Reports circulating that Liverpool are going to make a push for Jaka Bijol.
I get its the new world of the prem, but devastating if so. Important we build on the sparse, but great recruitment of this year. Jaka's been exceptional. If he does go, I'd hope it's a massive fee.

Even if it's true, there shouldn't be any real concerns. We should stay up and he's contracted until 2030. He then stays for the push higher up the league, or he goes for a very large fee.
2.) 25 Feb 2026 08:05:40
What's a fair price these days for world class international defender? 65mill.
3.) 25 Feb 2026 11:57:48
I would hope the days of us selling our gems are over. If we want to establish ourselves, we have to keep the foundations of the side: Amps, Stach, Bijol, Boges, Gabi, Okafor, DCL, Rodon, Okafor, etc.
4.) 25 Feb 2026 12:22:44
Bijol and Stach to leave for no less than £60 million. The top clubs will pay it, no worries, and we get a big warchest to buy new players, which allows us to sell other players, freeing up more money to buy more players. Our full team cost, what, £250 million? We could sell our starting 11 for more than that.
5.) 25 Feb 2026 12:41:16
Vid, mate. That's how the likes of Palace, Bournemouth, Brighton, etc., survive on their recruitment. Getting 60 plus for our wanted players will give us 2 new, decent replacements. Providing the recruitment team are on it.
? ? ? Even the top six decide whether to sell on, investing sale price. It's horrible to me. There's no loyalty, mostly between clubs or players. Wonder how long before the transfer window is abolished to suit the big boys?
6.) 25 Feb 2026 12:46:39
Trouble is, MoT, if we sell players like that, we are ripping up a recipe for success. It's so hard to recruit the right players who complement each other, and if some go, the whole thing is broken.
It doesn't matter how much dosh you get, you cannot replace that combination. Buying big does not guarantee it's going to work. We simply must keep the core of what makes us tick.
7.) 25 Feb 2026 20:51:42
Maybe, Vid. On the flip side, we have rebuilt the squad three times and had an outstanding team each time. I wouldn't sell them, not for anything less than laughable sums. If we got offered those sums, though.
8.) 26 Feb 2026 08:59:41
60 mill for a player who can't even get a start? All day long.
9.) 26 Feb 2026 12:42:10
Rumour is Pool are circulating Corke. You know better, I suppose. Give him away, eh? If they want him, pay up. Or we keep him. Simple.
10.) 26 Feb 2026 17:59:42
We will 100% certainly sell if the price is right, as that is part of the strategy. Recruit players at low value, at a good age, with high resale potential. It also works for the players we signed with a history of injuries - if we can sort them and / or improve the player, then we make money to reinvest.
This will be the way until we are established top 6 according to the plan, and the only way to even start to compete against the financial behemoths.
11.) 26 Feb 2026 18:04:34
Newcastle made them pay through the nose for Isak, and whilst I absolutely do not want to lose him, if it comes to that then we should do likewise. £60 Mil, you've got to be joking you scousers, make it £90 Mil and we just might think about it, but don't hold yout breath.

JR was just thinking the same thing.

Heard some Rumours that come the start of the year, we're going to make a push to sign James Trafford.
1.) 17 Feb 2026 13:57:23
Not yet convinced by Trafford. He did well last year in the Championship behind a strong Burnley defence, but that doesn't mean he'll be good rnough in the PL.
2.) 17 Feb 2026 14:58:37
Trafford literally prevented more goals than any other keeper in the Championship last season, nothing to do with Burnley's defence
They conceded more chances than us yet conceded about 20 fewer, that was solely down to Trafford.
3.) 17 Feb 2026 20:29:14
You can say anything with statistics. Sone might say that we conceded less chances than Burnley yet conceded about 20 more goals, and that was solely down to Meslier and/ or Darlow, but those are just simplistic comparisons, and in practice I think it's more complicated, but I just say I remain to be convinced.
4.) 17 Feb 2026 21:23:30
Not necessarily so Smyth, you could equally say it was solely down to Meslier.
5.) 18 Feb 2026 10:26:41
I would take Trafford. likely Englands next Number 1. massive resale value.
6.) 19 Feb 2026 08:02:56
How much did Citeh pay again? It would only ever be a loan, unless we want to stump up 35m for him, which he ain't worth (yet) , and, as I've said before, I am not convinced by anything in his technical abilities. He's a good shot stopper, but, as we've seen with our own, there's much more to the role than just that!
18 Feb 2026 12:26:39
No chance surely.

Whos the alternative?

Its crazy how all the frustrations about Leeds are so commonly known.
If you were to ask 100 Leeds fans what their top 5 were, nearly 100% of them would have "Farke not making changes soon enough" and "not being aggressive enough in the transfer window" as two of them.
Its so frustrating. I do fee like the 49ers think the Leeds (and their) pull is bigger than what it is and they can afford to wait things out. That's just not the case. We're a newly promoted club, you have to tackle these things aggressively like Sunderland.
Nearly every fan looked at their summer window and said "wow". Some contrarians said "It'll never work" but look at them. Nearing safe by January having finished 20+ points below us last season.
So frustrating.

Would be an absolutely unbelievable signing that.
But afraid to say I can see him in a Sunderland shirt. let's hope that's just because of its similarities to the PSV shirt.
