Borneuw deal done by all accounts. Loan with no option.

Gone through with Elvedi deal imminent.

So Farke has confirmed that Elvedi is close and Bournaw is off then. Another upgrade I think, but I still say that if we don't sign cover for Calvert-Lewin it's beenna bad window. Surely he won't play 38 games this season?

This news from AI
A massive breakthrough has just hit the wire from Germany. Nico Elvedi has officially signed his pre-contract agreement with Leeds United, securing his personal terms through June 2029. Borussia Monchengladbach have formally accepted Leeds' €10 million (£8.5m) opening bid, prompting both clubs to greenlight the immediate exchange of legal documents. ✈️ Nico Elvedi: Medical Logistics Activated. The Signature: With the club-to-club fee structure fully approved, Elvedi signed his side of the paperwork within the last hour. Travel Schedule: The 29-year-old Swiss international defender is now scheduled to fly into England tomorrow evening. The Final Step: He will undergo his official medical at Thorp Arch on Monday morning before the club announces him as Daniel Farke's newest defensive anchor.

🇪🇸 Nelson Deossa: The Counter-Strategy Begins. Now that Elvedi's transfer is structurally finalized, the 49ers Enterprises board has immediately pivoted all focus to Seville: The Bid Launch Timeline: With Deossa fully frozen out of Real Betis's immediate squad plans to prevent injury, Leeds are currently drafting the final tweaks to their opening written proposal. Exploiting the Leverage: Armed with the knowledge that Betis desperately need to dump Deossa's wages to fund their chase for Dani Ceballos, Leeds are expected to officially dispatch a £12 million written bid before midnight tonight.

Why do we need a mf? Unless Ao Gruev is going.

1

15 Aug 2026 23:42:17
Upgrade.

We need more goals from midfield.

And someone has got to relegate Brendan to the bench!

Anymore news on Perri to OM? If so, we working with them to get Pax?

2

14 Aug 2026 13:29:07
This Paxo stuff to Leeds is never happening, despite what ITKs might infer.

8

14 Aug 2026 13:49:43
There are reports in a few places that state this, but I'm not convinced of their reliability. Wait and see, I suppose.

3

14 Aug 2026 13:51:48
Agree, Baz. 0 chance.

4

14 Aug 2026 15:07:57
There are rumblings of a possible player (Perri) + cash £25m for Paixao. They want Perri on a permanent deal, but can't really be seen buying/spending, given their financial position. Given that, a player + cash deal makes sense all round.

4

14 Aug 2026 17:04:17
That would value Paixao at £35m. Perri + 17.5m.

1

14 Aug 2026 17:25:02
OM have sold Greenwood, and hoped to sell Hojbjerg to Newcastle, but he turned down the move. They still need cash because of previous spending and the substantial fall in French TV revenues.
Paixao's sale would help, and Feyenoord have a relatively small sell-on clause.
However, OM have a further problem. UEFA have put restrictions on who they can register for European competitions this season, and any new players can't go on the A List.

Consequently, as they sell first teamers, they have to dip into the B List of academy players to bulk out the squad. If Perri went to OM, he could play in domestic competitions, but not European ones.

3

14 Aug 2026 20:54:09
No, was Ealing. We are getting 17.5 for Perri.

1

14 Aug 2026 20:58:37
Should have read no way, Ealing!

2

14 Aug 2026 22:22:33
Sadly, Paixao doesn't want to leave. We will be on with other targets anyway, this is merely a fan distraction, I feel.

4

15 Aug 2026 04:18:25
A few here throwing their rep behind the No Way Pax deal. Wouldn't be too sure that is off the cards.

1

15 Aug 2026 04:47:45
He doesn't want to play for Leeds. Turned us down before. Don't even know why we are bothering chasing him. I don't want him. Pretty sure if he does end up leaving om. It will be for a team in Europe. Few on here just speculating.

5

14 Aug 2026 08:44:08
Apparently the Elvedi deal is done.

4

14 Aug 2026 11:16:26
Need to get a decent screw for Bourn now and not get spanked.

3

14 Aug 2026 11:50:58
For me, a decent screw for Bournow would be no less than we pay for Elvedi, preferably more, and paid 100% up front rather than any sort of loan deal. If they do agree to a loan deal (I hope not) , it needs to have the Hamburgers paying all his contracted Leeds salary, and with a binding obligation to buy at the end of the loan - 12 months max.

4

14 Aug 2026 12:39:28
If Bornauw wants to go, tell them £9m straight up or £2m loan fee, and £9m obligation if they avoid relegation.

I think that's fair.

3

14 Aug 2026 13:52:59
I'd go 12 to 15 in his form tbh. Nothing less than 12 obligation.

2

14 Aug 2026 14:00:02
I don't like your second option, Ealing. For me, a loan has to be the last resort, but if that's what it has to be, then the obligation to buy in 12 months time must come with no get out clauses. If they get relegated then he's their problem to sort out, not ours, and they still have to cough up the agreed fee.

4

15 Aug 2026 04:20:05
Nothing to suggest Elvedi is done yet other than a dodgy X post. Pretty sure it will get done though. Been hanging there for a month, tbf.

1

15 Aug 2026 23:30:32
I get info from more than just X posts, Frogus.

Anybody know if we have any interest in
Piroe?
Gnonto?
James?
AO?

2

14 Aug 2026 08:43:41
James has some interest, but his over-inflated wages are an issue. Can see Gnonto staying. Piroe has interest, but wants to stay. Not heard anything about AO.

5

14 Aug 2026 08:53:34
Mat may or may not be interested.

But, said it at the beginning of the summer window.. imo no chance DJ is leaving Leeds this window due to wages, and Piroe is very likely going to stay to see out his last year of contract.

Looks like Gnonto and AO may well stay now.

Just 19 days of the window remain. Not very long at all.

3

14 Aug 2026 09:21:06
Don't get Piroe.
He clearly ain't gonna play unless we have heaps of interest.
Gnonto could probably do a job next season.
Shame about DJ wages and AO as both are surplus.

3

14 Aug 2026 11:16:27
It was always on the cards that Piroe was going to stay and see out his contract. Given his age, he'll get a good signing on fee when he leaves.
But, agree with Aus. He isn't going to play, so maybe we just bite the bullet and send him out on loan for a fee and wages paid.

He'd do a good job in the Championship and would maintain his fitness and sharpness at that level. Burnley would be a good destination and it might help our case if we're really interested in Fleming. We'd gain and Burnley wouldn't lose out.

3

14 Aug 2026 12:41:43
I think we can be a little more bullish on Piroe.

The issue isn't that there isn't interest, more that he wanted to stay. If Farke is playing realist with him and communicating that he won't get more minutes than last season, his view on leaving or staying might change.

Agree, try and use him as a makeweight with Flemming. £9m and Piroe.

2

14 Aug 2026 13:47:35
Farke was pretty clear in the Salzburg friendly when he said that Piroe didn't get on as he is behind all our other strikers in the packing order. He won't go on loan either, so we are stuck. That's the issue with contracts. Unless an opportunity comes that interests him, we can't make him leave.

3

14 Aug 2026 15:10:35
The fact that Piroe wants to stay when he's clearly not getting any minutes & probably less than last season, speaks volumes of his own lack of ambition.
He will run down his contract then go to some mid table Championship side like Stoke or West Ham!

1

14 Aug 2026 20:57:04
Piroe is definitely leaving this window. No way he's gonna sit on the bench another season.

1

15 Aug 2026 04:22:54
Piroe and Gnonto will both go.

Neither has a position going forward.

Ao is similar to Bornauw in that he wants to start and may not be happy as the window closes.

James will stay.

13 Aug 2026 18:00:32
Plettenburg reporting Nico Elvedi and Leeds United have reached a full agreement over a contract until 2029.

Elvedi very open to move to the Premier League before Deadline Day. Leeds are preparing an offer and are expected to submit it soon. #LUFC.

5

13 Aug 2026 18:53:30
Wonder what fee. He is very experienced, but also turns 30 next month.

2

13 Aug 2026 18:54:06
Some of the click bait on the sites is a pain, and has no chance of happening, because we either don't want/need the player or he's out of our price range - Paixo, Leao, etc.
However, I agree with Alf that, as Bournauw is likely to be going, the most obvious replacement is Elvedi.

This one has been rumbling on since the start of the window. He's been quite open that he wants to come to the PL, and this is his chance.

2

13 Aug 2026 19:22:33
Elvedi has one year left on his contract, and Borussia are looking for about £8m. However, it seems that he has agreed terms with Leeds and wants to come, so if they don't sell him, they get nothing. I would hope that figure could be bargained down.

The Perri saga continues, but the Italian press is full of stories that he wants to consider his options a bit longer. He must be seriously considering moving back to France with OM.

4

13 Aug 2026 22:59:27
About 7-9m, I would think.

2

13 Aug 2026 23:18:10
Only downside is that he's another right footer. It would've been nice to find someone who could cover for Gabby on the left as well as in the centre.

1

13 Aug 2026 23:44:42
He's a right footer that actually plays as left CB as often as not, I believe.

2

14 Aug 2026 03:22:17
@JR16,

Left-footed CB cannot cover for GG, as he is a LWB in our system, and that is a specialist position a CB is not suited to.

Absolutely vital we find another quality LWB, as otherwise we get no penetration down the left side, as Okafor cannot cross for s***.

Lads and lasses, hearing rumblings of Mr R. Leao again this morning.

Reported around €50m and circa €10m p/y package.

Now don’t get me wrong, that's huge money.

However, and hear me out.

He is a player who can play in possibly 3 positions, LW/CF/CAM.

So given the additional revenue we would undoubtably gain through shirt sales world wide, is it actually that impossible of a deal to be done?

I don’t personally think it’s one that gets done, but there’s surely food for thought there.

5

13 Aug 2026 15:40:43.
Agent talk sadly.

3

13 Aug 2026 16:11:18
I get that, but it just got me thinking.

Rather than signing 2-3 players to fill, for example, the LW/CAM, is it viable to go big on 1 who can do both alongside the likes of Okafor, Wilson and others?

3

13 Aug 2026 16:36:22
Not for me. It's a prime 'opportunistic' signing at 35m euros, or even better, a loan with an option (our turn to benefit from loan/options for once) on the last day of the window.

If they get that much for him earlier, then it's not one we've missed out on at all.

4

13 Aug 2026 17:12:18
350k a week.

Only a handful of clubs in Europe would give that salary, and Leao has been a huge disappointment at Milan, so should be nowhere close. Never ever in a discussion about players suited to LUFC.
