Any thoughts on Buanonotte? I am hoping his progress is going to be a bit like Rutter's. At the moment for the few minutes he has been actually on the pitch he looks unimpressive to say the least.
Then again Rutter looked like he'd never kicked a ball in his life for quite a few games before he got his act together. Hope this new lad can up his game.

I thought he looked quick and dangerous.
He will bag a few goals for us, no doubt.
By the end of the season we will be sad to see him go.

Agree with Mo, definitely an asset, he’ll need a little time to adapt but have no doubt he’ll contribute to our survival.

Very popular player at Brighton but they had an abundance of riches in midfield at the time, very skilful and can take a free kick,
There were always the same doubts (with BA) whether he has the body strength for the epl, but if he gets his confidence back, he could be the difference maker we’ve been crying out for.

The slightest misfortune will affect the balance and effectiveness of the team. Lose dcl and start namecheck or piroe. Dcl may not be my most favourite player and is once again simply posing as a striker cause he ain’t scoring. But he has proven when he is in the mood he can score. The other two haven’t at this level. Get an injury or suspension to a cb or left back and we have players to cover but that would mean playing them in their lesser preferred position.
Again causing unbalance.
The gamble taken is that none of the above will happen and what we got is enough and good enough.
Time will tell. If it does we can add quality in summer there. If it doesn’t it will set us back a couple of years.
Can’t see Bijol gabby stach Longstaff ba Bogle gruev so amps Okafor being happy in champ.

Palace no win in 12, spuds 3 points from 5, a win on Friday and it all looks very different. I would rather be Leeds than any of the other 4. Keep singing and get behind the lads on the pitch.

Aus, DCL scored more when he has Nmecha next to him. They improve one another.
And saying Nmecha hasn't proven himself is mad when he sits mid table for goals scored this season even with his relatively low game time.
Put down the Fosters, Bruce. It's impairing your vision.

As Cheshire pointed out further down. We just have to stay above west ham. I can only see them getting another 16 points. We should at least get 15 so should be fine.
The only caveat to that is Farke. A few on here have alluded to isolating dcl and reverting to tippy tappy, as well as the poor subs and timing.
These all seem to be creeping back.
The team have shown given the right starting 11 and tactics they can perform at a mid table level. Let’s hope they return to that form immediately.

We play all the 6 teams around the relegation zone before the end of the season and we're not in it at the moment so our fate is in our own hands. We have three at home and three away. We pick up 12 points from those 6 matches and I think we are safe. We have to compete with those at the bottom and pick up the scraps from the top half in the other matches which we are capable of doing.
The nightmare is to get to the last match and it's a £100m play off with the 🔨's. Just keep playing 3/ 5/ 2 and trust that the system will work. It's been our most successful formation by far.

We're a fickle bunch us Leeds fans aren't we. At the start of the season when the summer window closed we were all doom and gloom, variously slagging off Underwood, Farke and Paraag. The downbeat mood continued til the Man City game when we all brightened up, started saying good things about the lads performances, even BA got a bit of praise now and then. Then comes the 2nd Arsenal game which turns out to be a bad day at the office for everyone against the current best team in the league.
Then the winter transfer window doesn't yield the new signings we all crave, and suddenly we're back to doom and gloom and mud slinging at anyone and everyone we perceive to be at fault. As it is we're on 26 points from 24 games, and if we maintain that level til the end of the season we'll finish on 41 points which has been safety in virtually every PL season so far. So let's all just lighten up and support the lads. UTWDTP.

There are the non fickle, forever doom predicting few, too, tho!
And then there's those who just pop out of the woodwork, to seemingly feed on fickleness and doubt.
And then followers of the ITK jetset, who's idols have just gorged themselves on hallucinogens in the hope of creating far fetched yet believable stories of signings from afar.
And then, there's some of us who have just remained level headed throughout.

I'm less concerned with the lack of signings in the window and more concerned that we will revert to type and become defensive, tippy tappy cowardball.
We know what works and we should keep doing it.
February is going to test our mettle and will be a tough, tough month to be a Leeds fan.

49ers have let us down again, poor recruitment to think we are safe, if forest beat us then be very tense.
I never bothered about Larsen, thought 30 mil ok but happy we pulled out of that one but should’ve done a loan for a striker, just to give us cover
MASSIVE GAMBLE.

Raheem Sterling is a free agent talking to a number of clubs and some rumours Leeds are one of those clubs. DCL and Sterling up top could be a very good partnership.

Sterlings salary is more than three times higher than our highest earner Calvert Lewin. Although Chelsea might stump up part of his wages do you really think Sterling has the desire to play for a team that is and will be fighting a relegation battle.?
The likely destination for him will be a Champions League team abroad.
{Ed001's Note - Sterling is not on a salary right now mate, so anything you offer him will be more than his current salary of 0.}

Understood Ed, didn’t know that, but I can’t see him staying in the Premiership.
{Ed001's Note - he wants to stay in London out of preference. It is a family thing as his son is in Arsenal's academy. That is why he has struggled to find a new team.}

Most of the teams around us have got rid of some fringe players. Burnley and Wolves recruited one each because they're planning for the Championship. West Ham recruited 5, Forest 3, Palace 5 and we had 1. We did need some back up in three areas. Only time will tell but I'd have been easier with a couple more in.
