Whilst ours has been a bag of spanner’s.

02 Feb 2026 03:19:22
Whilst bouc is a good player I am amazed that that might be all we get.
Need three in today which I will be surprised if we do.
Very threadbare. I’m not convinced we have enough to survive.

I agree Aus.

I think the 49's have again lied about their desire to create a team capable of competing, I sincerely hope I am wrong, but their history of doing things on a shoestring tells me otherwise.

They gambled on going up last year on a shoestring, and they are gambling EPL survival on a shoestring.

If they fail to bring in the cover we all know we desperately need to survive, then, like after the summer transfer window, I want them out, because as Paraag said himself, he negotiates these deals in his sleep, which can only mean they are not negotiating any deals, or we would have the players we want.

02 Feb 2026 08:47:16
Midfield. Super computer is now predicting we will be 4 from bottom, Trust in then not believe in nothing they say, you won’t go far wrong, as we all know it’s a money game .

02 Feb 2026 09:17:17
The deal negotiation stage comes after a club has accepted the offer. Paraag is a contract expert more than anything else.

02 Feb 2026 16:13:58
Oh MG. honestly what tosh!

Do you really think the the 49's [read that as dozens of folks investing their own money] are not doing everything in their power to protect their investment.

If we are not buying someone, it's because there is no one, they can't afford those they want or they think they don't need someone.

re Shoestring, never in our history, have we spent so much money as in the last 3-4 years. Just because we can't spend like City / Liverpool, doesn't mean the club is not spending as much as it can / afford. It's only 12 months ago, folks were moaning we couldn't spend as much as Norwich.

We spent like crazy in the season trying to survive last time and we all saw how well that worked - we are still feeling the ramifications now.

January is always a waste of money; the only players generally available are those not playing elsewhere or those whose contract is expiring and clubs are cashing in.

We are not an attractive proposition for those players in these circumstances. Who wants to sign a 4 year deal to be battling at the wrong end of the table, when higher pay, European football and trophy prospects are abound elsewhere.

02 Feb 2026 17:33:04
I think whether you bring in players or not in this transfer window it all a gamble anyways.
Bringing in new players, especially in the January transfer window guarantees absolutely nothing.
If it’s just about making up the numbers you are wasting your time and money as a club.

I believe the club made all their correct decisions in the summer bar an attacking midfielder, we’ve got one now in Bounanotte.
What more do you want?

Forest sign Ortega from Man City
Very shrewd.

Yup, wished we had.

01 Feb 2026 21:24:02
Very shrewd indeed especially at 500k.

01 Feb 2026 23:05:12
Picture the scene, driving past the East Stand offices at 5pm tomorrow and seeing through the windows of a party going on celebrating another transfer window when we have spent naff all.

I do jest, but when all of our relegation rivals are doing something we seem to as usual sat on our thumbs. Please prove me wrong hierarchy and freshen up that squad to hopefully help us avoid relegation.

01 Feb 2026 16:30:42
I know we are all unappointed Leeds managers but for my twopennuth. I do wish DF would see thro BAs game and that, other than running around a lot does not contribute much to the game. He is just a very annoying mossie. I PRAY that Buonanotte quickly settles in and quickly pushes BA back on the bench.

Agree2 Disagree0

01 Feb 2026 18:31:29
BA, just like DF upped his game after being sat down. Unfortunately I think he will return to his headless chicken routine, and I hope DF does not do the same .

01 Feb 2026 18:36:18
Farrow won’t play buonatte he didn’t want him
Underwood and parag trying to prove they’ve got it the haven’t.

01 Feb 2026 22:20:21
Long lost fan please stay lost. You are our most negative poster by far. I’ve just clicked on your profile to see all your recent post and other than stating facts like “Tom fellows signs for blah blah” you actually add nothing other than slating paraag and underwood at every opportunity.

(also called out in your recent posts by some1) it’s incredibly boring to read a post offering nothing constructive other than abuse towards the players or management.

02 Feb 2026 06:01:18
I believe this is a forum where I am entitled to post my opinions
These are all my opinions the clubs in a very negative place and I wish it wasn’t so but unfortunately it is. It’s is being run very poorly and I am entitled to air that.

I don’t attack any posters so please leave your opinions on me elsewhere and get back to providing the drip you see around the training ground - most of which are already in the public domain.

02 Feb 2026 08:11:41
No you just attack everyone at the team you support instead. Daily.

02 Feb 2026 08:34:30
Incorrect
I believe we have a number of ok players
But the majority are not big premier league standard
Thus allowing me to criticise not attack

I have told parag from my seat that I believe he is killing the club and I personally believe underwood is not a man for his job although I have always said he is a very good academy lead
Leave your opinions of me at the gate and you feel free to keep supporting as I do but perhaps in different ways.

02 Feb 2026 09:25:09
Well said LaD. I was going to post the same, but yours is better. Clearly no understanding of many things business, football, irrespective the two combined, and just here as a WuM. I wonder. 🤔.

01 Feb 2026 15:07:06
Astonishing to see that our goal difference is -11 and NINE of those courtesy of Gooners, wow.

Hadn't thought of it that way Vid, that actually cheered me up a little!

01 Feb 2026 23:10:14
We have had a few 4 - 0 drubbings against them ar ER. I am an old school fart, but for me, somebody should have cleaned Rice out in the first 5 minutes of yesterday's game. Yes, it's a risk of a red, but more than likely a yellow and it would have set the tone.

02 Feb 2026 12:05:02
Yep, our GD advantage over Spam is 8, without Arsenal it would be 15. Spam play their 2nd game against Arsenal on May 9, a fortnight before they come to ER for the last game of the season, pray that the relegation issues are all sorted by then. 🤞.

01 Feb 2026 14:49:25
You had to expect that result surely. There's huge gap in quality and depth between the two teams. In addition Arsenal play a style of football that our midfield and defence just can't cope with. Other 'better' teams than us play a different style which we have managed to a degree. Best I was hoping for was 0-3 Until we develop massively Arsenal will always have the upper hand. Somebody aid we needed to play better on the day. We could have upped our game a bit but nothing like what was needed.

Arsenal got 8 straight wins in Europe. They just had a bad spell which was unusual and unlucky for us they were more than up for it. Their poor form (for them) allowed Wolves to defend for their lives without really looking like they could score- get a point and Man U are on a high at the moment and stole the the 3 points at the death. Fortunately we don't have to play Arsenal again this season. let's hoe Burley and Forest don't take advantage of yesterday's result.

I said in the week (not on here) that if we ended the weekend still 6 clear of West Ham I'd be happy. We did and I am. 4-0 flattered Arsenal but we can't pretend we deserved any points. We looked decent in 2nd half until they scored the 3rd but didn't really look like scoring 2.They are a lot better than us and it showed. I don't mind that. As we all know there are leagues within leagues and us and Arsenal are in different ones.

Losing a 2 goal lead will hurt West Ham more than us losing a game everyone knew we would. And they are missing a centre half for 3 games. Obviously Friday is massive. And I'm on holiday so let's hope the WiFi is decent! If anyone fancies going seat 3, row O L36 east upper is available. Say hello to Andrew and Elaine!

I'm happy to attend on your stead Dgood if you can send me your ticket!

01 Feb 2026 12:18:42
Happy Sunday siblings, not! I think, as has been pointed out, its not the result, we are going to lose games, it's the manner. Now has something changed for the worse since that half time against Everton? It's a head scratcher, at home, I know Arsenal are great, but we dominated Chelsea and Palace, took the game to Liverpool and Man U and away at Citeh and Newcastle made a statement despite losing and defended superbly at Pool, surely we could have competed, one shot in tge first half.

None of that was evident yesterday. Also can't understand why Willy doesn't at least get an opportunity to have more minutes, maybe even a half. I hope DF isn't regressing and thinking as we have 26 points draws are good because cautious football will never do the job. Here is hoping for a stonking revival on Friday. UTWDTP and a nice Sunday roast 😁.

Vid mate. Why can we see it and nobody else. That was embarrassing. I just do t get that performance. So much wrong. It hurts. Because it’s so obvious. But all about $.

01 Feb 2026 11:32:32
It was another predictable line up yesterday with only TWO attackers starting and that two includes Aaronson.
5 defenders, 2 holding CMs and Stach made up the other outfield ten.
I realize it was Arsenal but c'mon we were at ER!

JSL would make zero difference to this side because he probably wouldn’t even start. That is unless DF remembers how good DCL looked in a front two and how more dangerous as a side we were. We need to give the opposition more to think about and with our current lineup and setup we literally are hoping for draws.

Big big game next and I hope OP is right that after a bad beating the lads will be eager to get back on track with a great performance and three points.

Yep corkey. Out played. Out fought at home for gods sake and battered. Pathetic.

01 Feb 2026 11:25:52
4-0 or 1-0 it's the same. We just lost to the best team in England so not a shock. Sadly I feel Forest is now a "must win game" (a phrase I think we will hear more of before the season is over) and a better reflection of where we are.

Spot on Leodis.

01 Feb 2026 13:20:47
Good for you leodis.
You don’t care we were crap.
We were atrocious from get go.
But I’m happy. Cause overnight we will sign. Gk who can simply catch the flop ball and a striker that knows the netted bit is where he aims.
Right.
No chance.

01 Feb 2026 13:35:19
Too true Leodis. A win against Florists would be huge, and i think there will be a reaction from the boys who played yesterday. I do hope that we go with 2 upfront again, and are not overly cautious, and focused on "not losing" vs winning! We have to go at them from the off!

01 Feb 2026 16:22:02
Aus you are a bad itch. I never said I do not care. I do not disagree we could have played better but you have to dominate to impose and just to remind you - they are top of the league (for a reason) ,
