Right, all done and dusted then, let's get the last few whinges out the way and focus on the rest of the season. We've got Forest, Wolves and Burnley to play home. Win those 3 and that's 35 points plus the odd draw equals safety, which all we could ever hope for.
I think Palace will live to regret JSL especially Astley didn't manage to sell Mateta. Or I'll live to regret saying that .

Mateta out for the rest of the season getting an op on his knee now so I guess they need the cover that JSL should provide.
02 Feb 2026 19:46:16
Only my opinion, but when you are in a relegation battle which we are, not to strengthen, when you have the opportunity to do so, is a very risky option especially when your rivals are making signings and you have a small injury prone squad.
I hope the powers that be know what they are doing and not thinking they are smart dudes by sitting on their thumbs.

We spent £70m the last time we were in a relegation battle LU. that was the other type if risk you can take and it mattered not a jot but ruined PSR for us . We also changed managers twice for the full set.
02 Feb 2026 23:01:15
Fair enough ani, I know the 49rs were involved, but Radz and Orta were in the box seat then. I wasn't asking for a spend spend spend window, but a couple of prudent signings to give us a boost. Anyway, it's gone now so will see what happens, hopefully starting with a win on Friday.
02 Feb 2026 17:27:16
Right I shall only say this once, I have lost all faith in our recruitment team and DF, I shall be delighted if we stay in the premiership but other teams have strengthened their squad where we stagnate. If Underwood is still our numero Uno recruiter next season then Mr Parag needs something shoving where the sun doesn't shine.
I am absolutely devastated that all we have is 1 loan signing and a youngster, pathetic and unacceptable. I know I sound like a broken record sometimes but I just can't see anything to shout about, not that I will stop cheering and supporting our club come rain or shine.
That's it rant over done and dusted.

With you 100% OldBri, I’m fuming as it stands with no additional striker or cover for CB etc etc.
If nothing happens and we end up in the bottom 3, then it has to be mass protests to get the yanks out of Leeds. Their lack of desire to invest in the squad is criminal.
02 Feb 2026 17:50:28
Oldbri it’s not just a case of making up the numbers as far as bringing in players, they also have to be the right players and not at crazy over inflated prices.
Otherwise there is no sense whatsoever to deal in this window.
As I’ve already stated in an earlier post, we did all our business that we needed to in the summer and we have even strengthened with an attacking midfielder.
Me personally I’m very happy and will be supporting my football team to do the business without weak statements that some blurt out of, "if I’m proven wrong I’ll put my hands up"
Who cares?
02 Feb 2026 17:57:03
I share your sentiment Oldbri, it's a massive gamble to not add to the squad in Jaunary after our underwhelming recruitment in the summer, if we get relegated, there will be an uprising. We have seen how hard it is to get into the Premier League, they should be throwing 'every last penny' to stay there!
02 Feb 2026 17:59:30
If DCL gets injured then it will turn bleak I guess?
02 Feb 2026 18:25:23
Can't help but wonder if nothing significant will occur until we survive in the premier League. Then new manager/ better players etc etc.
02 Feb 2026 19:15:05
West Ham losing on Saturday means realistically
38 points will be more than enough to survive so I think our owners probably aren't feeling the same sense of urgency as most supporters do to make a couple of new additions to the squad today and think we have enough to finish at least 17th.
I think that even allowing for injuries Leeds will be able to get at least 14 points from our remaining 14 games that includes home games against Forest, Man City, Sunderland, Brentford, Wolves, Burnley and Brighton.
Looking at those fixtures I personally think we can expect to win 4 of those, draw a couple and lose one so there's the 14 more points plus whatever we get away from home against Chelsea, Villa, Palace, Man U, Bournmouth, Spurs and West Ham which I think we can expect at least one win and a couple of draws so that would mean in total we finish the season with 45 points.
02 Feb 2026 20:16:56
Sorry OP but if you are satisfied with the recruitment as we sit just outside the relegation zone you are easily pleased and need to scratch the 2nd half of your username, but I respect your opinion as I hope you respect mine.
02 Feb 2026 21:08:35
Old. who gives a flying f*** who's happy and who isn't. What is done is done now. It should be the last said on the matter. isn't that what promised in your first post?
02 Feb 2026 22:45:26
I couldn’t care less for your opinion Oldbri but you will still complain for no good reason like several others do.
I don’t live in LaLa land and I already accepted before the season started that we would be in a relegation fight come the end of it.
For me that's just facing the reality of where we are.
There are some Leeds fans that will moan at just about anything concerning our club, for me it’s about being realistic about what our club/ team can achieve, that is what I believe and that has zero to do with, as you like to call me as being easily pleased.
I only expected one or two loans in this window, there’s never any real decent players available in January, especially strikers, I don’t want any player at our club who is probably not prepared to fight with everything he’s got in a relegation scrap.
You carry on moaning, I’ll carry on getting behind and supporting my football team.
02 Feb 2026 14:46:44
Looks like the Blades to get a trio of ex Whites. Kalvin, Rothwell and Hjelde.

02 Feb 2026 15:44:57
I backed them at 20s to get in play offs once they took wilder back on. It’s been up and down since but then 3 I imagine odds will come down drastically if they put a few wins together.
02 Feb 2026 15:56:57
Shame about Rothwell [though I understand he wanted to leave us], I think he's a good player and would do a good job for us. He's the only one in recent memory that could cross a ball!
It's still our biggest weakness.
02 Feb 2026 20:34:55
Yeah I thought we could have done worse than Rothwell ani - he was great last season.
02 Feb 2026 14:35:02
I think we should all go to bed.

Not just yet DG
😉🤣🤣🤣.
02 Feb 2026 17:17:37
Spending 50 Mil on a player like Larsen is nothing short of insanity. If that’s the price you have to pay in this crazy transfer window you can keep it.
Not bothered at all, I trust In what we have already.
02 Feb 2026 13:12:42
Farke has final say on who to sign and who not to sign.
Remember those people who said Farke deserves a chance in the PL because he wasn't backed at Norwich? This is Farke being backed.
Farke has decided that it isn't worth bringing in the wrong players who will disrupt the fit. It worked last season.
Have faith, everything will be fine.
Unless Farke reverts back to the cowardball that we saw at Everton, Arsenal and the start of the season.
Agree3

02 Feb 2026 14:08:25
He will mot. that's my big issue. Spam and forest getting ready for the battle. Palace freefall and nothing they can do. Farke just thinks he and Leeds are better. Not.
02 Feb 2026 14:12:55
Did Pep revert to coward ball yesterday MOT? Did he sit back and went into his defensive shell? How about Nuno, thinking it was all done at 0-2?
These cowardly managers that Farke must model his game on - sigh.
02 Feb 2026 15:34:50
Ani,
What was the score when arsenal faced the teams around us in the table? 5-0 and 4-0?
Silly comparisons are silly.
02 Feb 2026 15:53:53
MOT,
Like you say, silly comparisons.
Each and every game is different; injuries, bans etc. the ref, so like you say, comparisons are silly, so stop making them, e. g. comparing the scores of teams around v Arsenal and the like. Teams below us have all, thus far, done worse than us v all their opposition.
02 Feb 2026 16:37:36
He’s already reverted back to coward ball.
02 Feb 2026 16:50:01
West Ham also reverting to 'cowardball' in second half against Chelsea.
Or is it only Farke and Leeds Utd can fade out in the second half?
Maybe sometimes the opposition can play better than us?
02 Feb 2026 12:28:16
Leeds are categorically finished for the January window.
Any more links coming out are false.
{Ed025's Note - i dont think anyone expected much in this window to be honest Graham, not an easy time to buy and especially panic buy mate, i think you have dodged a bullet with Larson and you are still doing very well despite the blip at the weekend..
Agree3

02 Feb 2026 13:00:57
Yeah. Think we are done. Didn’t seem to try for gk, cb, lb just spent the whole window chasing Larsen. I agree with Ed though. Glad we didn’t get him. A huge gamble of a window. Strap in lads.
02 Feb 2026 13:56:56
If you say so🤣.
02 Feb 2026 17:48:43
What the people who are complaining are either overlooking or ignoring, is that the bulk of any agreement for Larsen was heavily backloaded to the next fiscal, as we couldn't front load due to PSR. The fact still remains that we are dicing with falling foul, and only went for him as it was, in the data based world, too good an opportunity to let pass.
We continue to be run in a conscientious and shrewd financial manner, and rightly so.
02 Feb 2026 11:50:05
We won’t be signing anyone today.
They will gamble on the injury prone small squad.
I hope to hell we somehow stay up but I can’t see it.
If we do I want Farke gone and the fraudy9ers out as well.
We had the worst Arab owners in the history of football in GFH now we have the worst American ones as well.
I am sick to death of my club being constantly let down.
Fans should protest on Friday and let the feelings known.

02 Feb 2026 12:02:55
I'm with you Dave, I think the lack of ambition shown by the fraud Paraag and co is an insult to all of us.
To think that we a good chance of staying up with the squad as it is, when our main rivals for survival are all improving their squads over the transfer period is delusional.
If we sign nobody else, I hope the game on Friday, 36k fans are all calling for the 49'ers to get out of our club, as without a rather large miracle, we are at serios risk of heading back down.
02 Feb 2026 12:03:17
I can only see this as a total over reaction, and wide of the reality mark, I'm afraid Dave. Except the GFH bit of course.
02 Feb 2026 12:39:22
It’s a worry though bright. I’m not that confident this squad as it is can survive.
There is absolutely no doubt we need min three in today.
So although it’s doom mongering. I suspect every single Leeds fan will be nervous. Clarets and wolves gone. One more from prob 4.
02 Feb 2026 12:59:12
Got to say I am confused. 6 points clear of R on a great run of form (Arsenal aside) , many people said first half v Everton was our best of the season yet some on here think we are nailed on for relegation. We are all allowed our own opinions but what am I missing? We have strength in depth in defence and midfield - I do see an injury to DCL would make things difficult with Nmecha injured but really - would you rather be us or Spam/ Spuds/ palace? I’ll take our chances of finishing above at least one of them any day (think Dyche will steer Trees out of the woods so to speak so not relying on them) .
02 Feb 2026 13:42:01
You say that Bright and yes it’s an emotional post as I’m piss&d off.
Flaccid Farke reverting to his arrogance stance of negative limp wrist defensive soccer and isolating DCL is pure idiocy.
We all know what’s going to happen on Friday as we’ve been here before, DCL get an injury and it’s curtains.
02 Feb 2026 14:10:49
Great run of form? U joking right. Can you read? Are you watching our games? Define great for me please?
02 Feb 2026 16:00:53
Aus, the same squad after beating Fulham, that many said here were on the brink of playing European football next season!
I know you didn't say that, because win, draw, or lose, you say the exact same thing regardless.
02 Feb 2026 16:42:23
Since our “awakening” against Man City, we have 15 points in 11 games, only 2 losses and 9 of those games were against teams in the top half of the table. For a team needing a point a game I would say that is damn good form. Cheers for teeing that one up Aus - I like an open goal.
02 Feb 2026 17:13:48
Aus not everyone puts such high expectations of our team in this first season back in the Premiership like we should be out of sight already.
I also think we are doing really well, in fact better than I thought before the season started.
We are six points ahead of West Ham, that doesn’t make us safe but six points advantage at the bottom of the league is huge.
Above all I think the way we are playing gives me a lot a confidence that we can survive.
02 Feb 2026 11:45:55
Graham Smyth saying no other signings planned today, club will stay awake though. Nothing doing by the sounds of it.

02 Feb 2026 09:14:21
If we get Ryan Kent as well, its a bumper transfer window.
I know Anthony has done well at Burnley, but would he move us up the league, Nope. I hope it's just click bait.
02 Feb 2026 09:22:12
I'm pretty sure that one is the most far fetched journo garbage we've seen in recent years. I agree with you, it is an actual joke, just not a funny one!
02 Feb 2026 09:37:16
Speaking to a Burnley fan they're not convinced. Not consistent enough with only the odd flashes. Sounds like his time with us. Won't happen.
02 Feb 2026 10:42:07
The Burnley fan reckons only two good players. Esteve and Dubravka who has been there best so far.
