The Leeds board don't like to do things fast. No resolution to the long running alioski saga, let him just go already, we need better LB option than him.
They even taking forever signing 2 big assets that have been at the club for 3 years in Harrison/ beilsa, get it done.
Hoping lots of behind scenes work going on and then the 3-4 players we need signed up fast.
1.) 28 Jun 2021 07:02:20
The window isn’t even open yet mate and Gianni is only just back from euros, patience!
2.) 28 Jun 2021 09:49:14
They quoted all transfers would like to be done before end of June so they get a full pre season.
3.) 28 Jun 2021 11:23:11
Lufc 4, window been open since 9th June, 3 weeks already but should be patient.
Thought they’d have sorted beilsa contract and Harrison buy as no brainers.
4.) 28 Jun 2021 11:33:55
Harrison done for 1st of July, also, a YEP reporter has stated that no signings will be made by the start of pre season.
07 Nov 2020 22:54:39
Conceding a few recently and think break is needed, hope can get a few back into squad.
Was Pablo dropped from squad because of his attitude last game when taken off?
Not many positives today, big one is we are in the premiership and that is amazing, 2nd is bamford finishing improving and the offside tough to take, pointing where he wanted pass.
Negatives, keeper getting beat at near post, costa and Dallas poor.
Also feel struik not a DMF, he was pedestrian today, sorry berm but you are wrong, we much better with Phillips and I think u know it. Is he the best defensive MF, no, but better with than without or until we find a better one, should have kept veira, big mistake. Let's hope Phillips back after break and be good to see Lorente play alongside of Koch.
1.) 09 Nov 2020 22:30:23
Meltdown How can the sale of RV be a mistake when we 1. Achieved promotion without him. 2. His absence helped see the rise of KP. 3. He's reportedly available for transfer again at only a 30% increase in price than the amount we sold him for. I like RV as a player but remarking his sale was a mistake just factually incorrect.
2.) 14 Nov 2020 06:51:24
we needed the money at the time and had we not sold we would have had to sell other players and who knows what impact that would have had on the team that went up. Same with Kemar by all accounts.
15 Feb 2020 07:41:04
Every game now going to feel tense, can't afford slip ups now.
Tough one for brom against Forrest, do we want brom to win and keep teams below at bay or can we still catch them for first.
My feeling is Forrest to beat them but we have to win next 2 at home.
Bristol invested well in window, unlike us!
They have some decent players, eliason, diedhiou, wells and have won 5 out of last 6
Going to plump for 2-0, bamford and klich.
30 Dec 2019 09:11:45
Rumors that Leeds not getting Brewster as he has got move to Swansea, does that mean we can get Ayew to rejoin bielsa?
1.) 30 Dec 2019 20:56:33
Let's hope for Harry Kane.
2.) 03 Jan 2020 06:49:34
Now that Clarke is back with Spurs Kane should be surplus to requirements so I can see that happening Bazooka.
27 Apr 2019 23:58:48
Time to tinker slightly with team, I would have Pablo on bench and try to rest him, play some part to keep sharp but maybe 20 mins. Don't think MB will but would like to see Izzy or bouguz in his place.
Would also drop Harrison and play either Clarke or Shackleton.
Be happy with draw against villa and then beat Ipswich, still need a point or 2 for 3rd.
Scary because other playoff teams in form but if we play at our top level can beat any of these, but can we do that over 3 games?
1.) 28 Apr 2019 07:23:23
Roofe, Alioski, Douglas all out - Leif Davis confirmed he's had surgery and is done for the year on Instagram too, while Halme, Termunzhukov + Nicell are seemingly injured too (didn't feature in last 23s game, in Halme's case a while) .
With that in mind, I think Bielsa will pick:
Casilla; Ayling, Jansson, Cooper, Dallas; Forshaw, Klich; Hernandez, Roberts, Harruison; Bamford.
Res: BPF, Phillips, Berardi, Shackleton, Clarke, Gotts, Stevens.
Others who could feature Brown, Edmondson, Diaz, Bogusz, Struijk, Odour, Hosannah.
I would personally go full strength for this game and if we're going to rest anybody do it against Ipswich, however if we do need to rest somebody then Pablo, Ayling and Pontus the obvious ones.
Love to see Shack get a start on the right wing. MOT ALAW.
2.) 30 Apr 2019 14:20:42
I dread the "same team again" statement but I think he is not a man for change. Personally I would like to see Odour for Harrison and, if necessary, Edmundson up front.
3.) 30 Apr 2019 20:21:49
We need to secure 3rd. No time for tinkering right now.
4.) 01 May 2019 11:12:40
Apparently efl brought a new rule in that teams have to play there first strong team. Was due to the dog botherers making 10 changes on the last game and affecting the relegation places. Not that it affects owt this year as the relegation places are already confirmed.
5.) 03 May 2019 20:49:00
Give the under 23’s a run out again Ipswich.

Gritty win, great comeback and how crazy was that couple of mins, they get 3-3 and then go up and win it.
Big result, they tough to beat at home and only 2nd loss, can't see many teams winning easily there.
Not ideal for us to concede 3 but again, they attack well at home, big statement win and now top.
Disappointed again with Meslier for first 2 goals but until we get in a better Gk, it is what.
So impressed by Tanaka, what a machine and for me, it's him and Amps in MF (when back) .
James and Soloman very good but still not convinced by BA and Piroe.
For me, these are must solve areas in Jan, think just need 2 players in, was hoping MJ the answer but not yet.
Have to get a forward, is david Fofana available?, think he on loan but be good addition.
As for CMF, talk of Mcatee, i also think Borja Sianz ( norwich) very good.
Luton up next.
1.) 24 Nov 2024 22:47:25
First goal was great goal how you put that on mes is a joke
Second was a ball across the goal (so mes started at near post) then a deflection taking it into the opposite corner in off the post. No keeper in the world saves them
Mes negativity shows lack of understanding of the position
Pirol deep lying play for our third goal was class.
2.) 25 Nov 2024 00:09:18
It's a cumulative 3 year plus effect of Statue Le Gash; we have needed a better more assured gk since 2021/ 22
He has regressed, certainly hasn't improved nor developed in last 3 years ; he was actually a much better gk in 20/ 21 season.
Second goal today instead of being on his toes shuffling to the middle of goal
. he was ( again ) statueesque waiting for a shot
whilst being wayyy out of position. wayy too much to his left of goal
# Sunday league keeper antics.
3.) 25 Nov 2024 00:11:20
CHALLENGE
Can anyone on here explain to us of any goalkeeping aspect Meslier has actually IMPROVED upon during past 3 seasons?
Good luck!
4.) 25 Nov 2024 05:04:49
Sorry to be killjoy baz but his catching has improved from downright non existent to suspect.
5.) 25 Nov 2024 05:19:56
That’s why he was the goalkeeper of the season in the Championship last season!
You don’t know what you are saying, just rubbish as usual.
I have to say by even winning a very tough away game at Swansea it almost looks like some are disappointed that we won, got the three points and now sit top of the table, what more do you want?
6.) 25 Nov 2024 07:04:09
He has the most clean sheets in the league and conceded the least amount of goals in total.
Enough for you?
There was not much he could have done yesterday with the goals that went in his net, more down to unusual poor defending by us and a tough attacking Swansea.
It was refreshing to finally see a team who had a go at us.
Baz you should spend more of your idle time praising our players especially when we win instead of slagging them off all the time.
7.) 25 Nov 2024 08:19:45
Baz, there are valid concerns on some parts of Meslier’s game but when you blame every goal we concede on him, when they clearly aren’t his fault, it massively weakens your point and just shows you have a petty agenda.
8.) 25 Nov 2024 09:04:11
Agree OP, a great victory against a very good team, who will beat a lot of teams with their new management team going forward.
3 points, Top of the League, what a great way to start the week!
9.) 25 Nov 2024 10:21:19
Classic Aus; fair point ; I agree . its the only aspect that has ( marginally ) improved.
10.) 25 Nov 2024 10:32:31
Oh dear OP feebly trotting out the clean sheet fallacy ?
A clean sheet is often only down to a defence.
Plenty of statistical surveys out there citing significant percentage of clean sheets in Europes top leagues have been kept without the keeper even making a save .
AND plenty of examples of this of Mes not having to save even a shot in matches
* Save to shot stats far, far more reliable indicator of gk ability.
11.) 25 Nov 2024 10:45:51
Brockers
No agenda; justifiable deep concerns
And pertinently
1) please could you detail your valid concerns of Mes ability? . which gk aspects?
And
2) also give details of any alleged Mes gk strengths that you may perceive?
12.) 25 Nov 2024 11:36:13
I’m bored of repeating myself but goalkeeper of the the season last season.
13.) 25 Nov 2024 12:20:00
Actually OP the official EFL team of. season had Hermanson in goal not Mes ??
You also haven't been able to identify any of his own INDIVIDUAL gk strengths or improvements.
14.) 25 Nov 2024 14:55:05
Baz is right to a degree
Few years back was best young keeper in the world and pulling of saves on a consistent basis like no other goalkeeper I have seen other than David de gea
Martyn said… he is far better than I was at that age
Yet mes hasn’t quite progressed as I’d of hoped. If he did he would be at Real Madrid and up for one of the greatest ever
That said he still has ability to pull off world class saves like the one against lecister which was as good a save as you will ever see and won us three points
Is he perfect no, is he best in the leauge, yes if you listen to footballers and football writer who voted for him
Has he improve one part of his game, yes his command of the area and catching of crosses has improved vastly
Is bazs opinion worth listening to… I’ll let you lot make up your mind on that.
15.) 25 Nov 2024 15:51:55
Amendment for Berma you mean
* nth degree
A fairish post Berma.
06 Nov 2024 23:13:10
poor performance, they did a job on us, physical and got there goal and defended well.
We lack creativity and a proper goal scorer, game was better suited with MJ over piroe but DF is a bit of a one trick ?
Was impressed with Crew on his short appearance and think he needs using, thought rothwell should've been taken off for 2nd half and crew on, Farke never thinks this or makes changes until min 70, frustrating.
Still feel we will kick on and be top 2 and promoted, over to 69ers to possibly bring in a couple in jan?
1.) 07 Nov 2024 05:27:14
This time last season top 2 already formed . way ahead and indeed finished top 2
EFL stronger Champo 23/ 24
1st Leicester P 14 Pts 39
2nd Ipswich. P 13. PTS 34
3rd. Leeds Utd P 14. PTS 25
EFL weaker Champo 24/ 25
1st Sunderland P14. PTS 30
2nd Sheff U. P14. Pts 28
3rd Leeds U P14. PTS 26.
2.) 07 Nov 2024 07:27:58
Against a very organized and efficient defense you’ve got to be quicker in the final third, too many passes were also not on the button, if you don’t get that right against this Millwall team you will not score a goal.
If Millwall continue on this consistent trend they will be very difficult to score against and are capable of scoring the odd goal also, there’s no reason why they shouldn’t be in the top six in my opinion.
As much as I dislike Millwall you have to acknowledge their thoroughness especially at their ground, they’ve done a job on Burnley and us already.
3.) 07 Nov 2024 09:29:39
Top post there OP. A good evaluation, and no repetition of agenda points in sight!
Credit where it’s due, Millwall stuck to their plan, stuck to their strengths, and their position in this league shows what keeping it simple can achieve. Farke in no way to blame for the result; the players are the ones who should finish their chances. Millwall were worthy of this victory, as was the case vs Burnley.
PS. Thanks Cleggy for asking after me! Appreciated! I’m now going to reverse back into my hedge!
4.) 07 Nov 2024 10:52:24
Millwall 5th in a weak quality Champo speaks volumes.
5.) 08 Nov 2024 08:44:00
How do you qualify, or quantify that sweeping, baseless statement Baz?
The Champo is as competitive as it always is, and results prove that. If anything, last season it was weak, which is why the top 3 teams set points records, and ran away with the division.
03 Nov 2024 22:03:27
Millwall hitting form, 3 in a row and just done us a favor by beating Burnley ( who i think aren't a great side) .
Will be tough match, think i'd start MJ, a bit more mobile but just my opinion and can't see Farke changing it.
Midfield looks strong and seen the Amps/ gruev debate below, for me Amps when fit comes in with Tank.
i was happy to see G man get a run out, big unit (viera like) and a great addition.
I was also very impressed by Crew, looks like finds space, good tough and likes to go forward, hope he can get more time, think he could be a diamond.
Still not convinced by Aaronson, works hard but think we need better, i'd be trying to bring in CMF and striker in Jan.
I think Borja Sianz of Norwich is a player, could be that attacking/ creative link.
1.) 03 Nov 2024 22:26:53
Mell Time for Farke to rotate is now. Give G geezer more minutes, play a more physical side against Miiiiiiiilllll because they won't mind being physical with us. I'd bench Piroe for MJ for this one. Not his sort of game this one.
2.) 03 Nov 2024 22:33:31
Very good post Melbourne
I am more and more enthused by the recruitment of G man
. and I really like your comparison of G man to Vieira .
G man as a BIG physical unit and physical presence who is good on ball too is a genuinely wonderful big boost to our team and squad in our promotion quest!
3.) 03 Nov 2024 23:00:57
I’m going and not seen us win since 2004 So we are bang in trouble.
4.) 04 Nov 2024 00:12:46
MJ as 9
G man as 10
Keep the rest as is.
Crew and Solomon on as 70 minutes subs.
Crew needs more game time, he has so much promise and could be a real talent.
5.) 04 Nov 2024 23:15:07
Berm . You can go but just don't look!
26 Oct 2024 23:12:59
what boring game that was, think it could've gone on for another 90 mins and wouldn't have looked like scoring.
i understand we've got injuries but that's why you have a squad, i'm starting to really miss Rutter, that player that gets the ball and turns, runs at the opposition.
Piroe was a bystander today, didn't look interested and think he better as sub in last 20 for me, has to start MJ ( until we bring in forward) ?
Bristol didn't look like they wanted to attack us in that 2nd half and were there for the taking, we constantly going left to right across the back and no penetration.
Too many times trying to walk the ball in, had a few chances but not clinical, Gnoto should've scored, didn't hit cleanly and cleared off line, James had 2 chances but same again, maybe lack of playing?
Sunderland pulling away, we now have a run of easier games and need to make count, try be around top 3 by Jan and hopefully get in a couple of players.
Think Aaronson tries hard but he's not that creative player (rutter, pablo) type and we need that and a goal scorer.
I think the shout for Danny ings is a good one and i also saw a young lad come on for Arsenal, looks exciting and should try loan him in Jan? I also think the Norwich lad ( sianz) would be a great addition.
11 Oct 2024 01:28:08
No leeds game kills me, roll on next friday.
Apparently james and soloman close to fitness and possibly available?
If james is fit, think i'd start him and soloman on bench, would like to see different line up and my team would be as follows.
Mes ( best we have? )
Bogle Rodon Struijk Firpo
Tanaka Rothwell
James Gnoto ramazani
Joseph (or piroe)
Can gnoto possibly play that #10 role, getting ball and creating, not sure but like to see it tried over Aaronson, still feel we need to invest in CMF and striker in Jan.
1.) 11 Oct 2024 03:35:49
Fully agree MW that Danny James 100% comes back into starting 11
James, Gnonto Ramazzani all start for me.
2.) 11 Oct 2024 07:42:51
Cairns in nets.
3.) 11 Oct 2024 10:53:29
Mes
Bogle Rodon struijk Firpo
Rothwell tanaka
Ramazani arranson James
Joseph
However, if the opponent are going defensive, use ramazani and James as subs to over-run their tired defense in the second half.
If the opposition are set to attack, put James and ramazani on first to threaten with the counter attack.
4.) 11 Oct 2024 11:11:57
MOTagain
Leeds definitely need a win . having failed to beat Burnley. Baggies or Sunderland
Gnonto more a goal threat than BA for me.
5.) 11 Oct 2024 13:28:09
Why are we trying to shoehorn a player in that's not been fit all season and won't be match fit come game time? Aaronson didn't have the best game last match, but his work rate is always exceptional. James has similar work rate when match fit, but he isn't and won't be match fit come Sheff game, so I wouldn't drop Aaronson for James. Plus I think Aaronson at 10 is great for our pressing and winning turnovers in dangerous areas, that can lead to chances. And both Gnonto and Ramazani are undroppable, for me.
6.) 11 Oct 2024 13:31:27
How are you dropping Gnonto, MoT? Had been our best player this season and especially in recent games. c'mon man wtf ?
Sheff definitely going to set up with a low block considering they're away at one of the league faves. Means we need to start Joseph over Piroe, who will struggle for space early on.
7.) 11 Oct 2024 13:38:08
Agreed Mel, I too am not sure of Gnonto in the middle. I think he is overated anyway. The fact that he may have to play there shows up our mistake last summer.
8.) 11 Oct 2024 14:49:31
Mexico v USA starts just 40.5 hours before we kick off v Blades, so with possible match minutes, travel back to Leeds and jet lag, Aaronson seems unlikely to be in a fit state for the starting lineup. It may be that Gnonto starts at 10 anyway. Farke apparently believes he can develop him into a more versatile player, able to play anywhere in the attacking positions behind the striker, and he’s only going to able to do that with more game time at 10.
9.) 11 Oct 2024 18:57:16
Dill
Nothing wrong with Gnonto, he's a good player, but speed wingers are ramazani and James, control wingers are Gnonto and Solomon IMO. We mix and match to suit the game.
Gnonto is a fire cracker used to bully the defense, sometimes he best off doing that from kick off, sometimes he's best doing that in the final 30 mins.
I don't see not starting a player as a snub, just a tactical decision. Same with James, if we want the early kill, put him on. If the opponents are set to defend and park the bus, put Gnonto on, let him bully and break them down, then when they're knackered, send in James to run circles around them.
Agree with arranson though. He was cabbaged last game because he was running around like sonic on speed every match. The man has worked hard enough to get the benefit of the doubt from the fans. He's 10, all day, every day.
10.) 12 Oct 2024 08:54:09
Gnonto is our best player and has been all season so far. He needs to play no matter how the opposition sets up.
James should primarily be used off the bench, being he's our worst winger of the four. His legs at the end of the game will cause issues, but against a low block that pace isn't really needed as much. You need more intelligent players on whi can manipulate the ball and space with intelligent movement and vision. Also not sure he's the best player to link with Bogle either. Bogle is a great outlet going forward and a much better crosser and James will just eat into his space, whereas Gnonto is more than happy to drift into the half spaces and leave dangerous areas open for Bogle to attack while Gnonto benefits by being more involved centrally, where he's also very dangerous.
And again, form needs to be taken into account. James has zero form or match fitness, so it's not really a choice about how an opposition sets up, it's a choice about not starting a player out of form and unfit.
James will be really useful this season (it's a long slog) and he'll contribute, but he's not a starter considering the other players at our disposal in the same position.
11.) 12 Oct 2024 09:53:02
I cannot see the point in changing a winning team!
We won a difficult away game at Sunderland (apart from slip up at the end) .
Just aaronson doubt with the late start of his USA game. But I would not change a thing.
Dj will not be fully fit for weeks yet he needs to be eased back after injury.
12.) 12 Oct 2024 10:23:59
With you on this dill. Absolute lunacy to start an out of form injured winger over an inform injury free one. Defies commonsense and logic. Gnonto large start with sol and James final 15-20 Max. Arrested n starts for me too even if he replaced at 45 by piroe. Xx.
13.) 12 Oct 2024 11:08:05
In light of reasoned posts from seasoned posters, I stand correct.
Thank you for the input dill and aus. Ben, you're right. We smashed them with that team so keep it as is.
14.) 12 Oct 2024 13:25:15
I must be getting senile in my old age, but Aaronson runs around, fair enough, but is far too lightweight. He just doesn’t produce nearly enough for the team.
I would go as far as saying, for what we paid for him, is one of the most disappointing signings this club has made. Even playing in an easier league than the premiership, still doesn’t influence games like he should be doing. A journalist very eloquently described him as like a wasp in a bottle. I would never play him personally. And I would have cairns in goal too.
15.) 12 Oct 2024 15:00:52
BA level is the Champo no higher ; he is proving to be moderately effective at this level .
He was however woeful at Sunderland and I would drop him to bench and start Danny James
And its guff from some to say DJ is" out of form ". before he was injured he was playing well, scoring too.
DJ more than any other current Leeds player has proven to be our " goto crucial 1st goalscorer in 1st half "
Hope Farke starts him ; and then look forward to him proving the naysayers so wrong by scoring first goals like he did so fairly often last season too!
16.) 12 Oct 2024 15:03:50
. and agree with C&J and Georgey I would be very tempted to pick Cairns over the potential promotion wrecking ball that is Meslier.
17.) 12 Oct 2024 15:32:49
If you don't start Mez, we've lost him for good. He needs to start and clean sheet or no, needs supporting by the fans.
18.) 12 Oct 2024 15:57:48
He's not been in form for yonks, Baz. Form would require a consistent run of games AND to be playing well. Think he's played well enough in one game this season and then was poor after the last int break last season. So yh, well out of form.
Aaronson offers so much out of possession and is kinda crucial in a lot of those aspects and how they then translate over into attacking opportunities for the team. Without him you do lose some of that. James and Aaronson two different profile anyway, with the one common trait being their work rate. Aaronson more creative in the final third (has played some nice through balls this season) , has found himself in quite a few goalscoring opportunities through his movement off the ball (should've done better with a few of those chances) and his general hustle in and around the penalty area and attacking third has helped us recover the ball in dangerous spots. All of which I like. Oh and he's match fit. Which as mentioned multiple times, James is NOT!
I'd put Sunderland down to a hut of fatigue. He's ran his b*ll*cks off every game thus season including those 3 games in 6 days. I'd give him some leeway for the Sunderland game due to that.
As Ben also mentioned, James needs to be brought back into the fold slowly. He's unfit and won't be match fit for a while. No need to rush it with the players we have at our disposal.
19.) 12 Oct 2024 16:22:59
MOTagain. with respect Leeds really need a much better goalkeeper than Le Gash
- you know it
- i know it
- the entire flipping LUFC fan base ( bar a few) knows it
We need a gk who can actually fricking catch the ball for starters.
20.) 12 Oct 2024 16:35:03
Dill .
1) stats have DJ much more productive / dangerous ( goals and assists ) than BA. end of
2) and DJ just as hardworking as BA
3) DJ past 4 matches YEP ratings
MOM 8 / 10 Playoff final
7/ 10 Pompey
5/ 10 Baggies
MOM 8/ 10 Sheff Wed . crucial goal
Not in anyway at all a player who was currently out of form.
4) DJ has been out for 6 weeks not one year . you are wayyyyy overplaying fitness concern (for a Champo level match too)
5) Play your best players to win matches.
Right wing DJ
Left wing LR
Number 10. WG.
21.) 12 Oct 2024 21:15:49
We don't have a better keeper than mez and until we get one, if we do, we don't want him on worse form than he is on. Not just for keeping goals out but for selling him on.
It makes no sense to let him shrivel on the bench. Who knows, he may even improve his form in light of this. He has looked bored for a while and this boot up the derriere might do him some good.
22.) 12 Oct 2024 23:02:11
Well Baz you clearly have all the stats on DJ and I will say I would have him in the team. He always puts in a good shift and always creates and more to the point scores goals. Why did Union Berlin not want to keep a hold of Aarronson if he offers so much out of possession, whatever that means? Is that the old, he does a lot off the ball?! The season in the premiership he played 30 plus games from attacking midfield and scored 1 goal (Chelsea goalkeeper error) and 1 assist, and we were relegated. Last year on loan to union Berlin he played 30 games in a mediocre league and scored twice, Union Berlin scored in stoppage time against Freiburg in the final game of the season to remain in the bundesliga. The previous season, they qualified for the Champions League. No coincidence. There must be better in the u21’s? That’s the thing with DF he will only play youngsters if his hand is forced.
23.) 13 Oct 2024 01:30:15

yes ( bored! ) Meslier certainly needs a large size 12 boot up his derriere.
he wouldn't have lasted even one training session looking 'bored' playing with the Revie Greats Big Jack, Bremner etc
Kiko, Meslier, Darlow, Cairns. its been shoddy GK recruitment 2018 to 2024
Even Lucas Radebe and the great Norman Hunter ( god bless his soul) weren't far off being better gks for Leeds ( and BOTH had more gk appearances for Leeds United than Cairns for starters lol )

Very good post C&J .
Dill is often on point but we disagree on DJ/ BA.

DJ was more productive last season. BA has been this season and in central areas where the play is more dangerous. Assists and goals aren't always a determining factor either. Key passes to players who then assist is also part of it. Deft little touches. Spinning out of trouble in tight spots and releasing the ball leading to an opportunity. All things I consider when I say BA is more creative. He just is. James is pony at crossing, which is a massive fault for a winger. He doesn't take people on. He needs the ball pumped in front of him to chase down to be the other side of a defender because he just doesn't do it with any consistency through dribbling. And again, he's NOT MATCH FIT. Dunno why that last part especially is being ignored or downplayed. 6 weeks is more than long enough to lose match fitness, especially with a hamstring injury where mobility is hampered in rehab.
Bringing up a 20 mins cameo in a game everyone played dogshit in (PO final) but he was a little better than the rest is kinda funny tbh. He played decent against Sheff Weds. Other 2 games this season I wasn't impressed and after the int break last season he was objectively poor.
And agree, play our best players to win matches. Which means DJ will be on the bench.

Lmao DJ Just ' a little better '?
in play off final than. everyone else
DJ was the onnly player looking to score &lookimg like scpring fgs
Disagree with most of your post Dill
We shall soom see how it plays out Dill.
4 wins in 9 games is not good enough .11 points already dropped.

Not even sure why this thread has gone on so long when all it essentially boils down to is me not wanting to start a player who isn't match fit over players who are all match fit and have been contributing goals and assists this season ?♂️?♂️.

i agree cork, i still think we will get promoted this season ( need a couple in jan) , but i’d be tempted to look at other coaches after this season.

i loo like that line up, thought LR looked decent when came on, looks direct.
Don’t think we need 2 DMF, i like Gruev but think Amps in defensive role and a more attacking MF be better, that should’ve been Hamer?
Also agree that Bogle needs dropping and if schmidt can play RB, then do it.

agree Aus, they have the funds, 125mil brought in and approx 26mil out not including Soloman deal. He is a premiership player and could be that missing link, if we get Hamer, i’d be confident of top 2 and promotion.

2nd half worse.

Dill, he was very good at burnley but think injuries held him back. If he can stay fit, he would be very good.
