The Leeds board don't like to do things fast. No resolution to the long running alioski saga, let him just go already, we need better LB option than him.
They even taking forever signing 2 big assets that have been at the club for 3 years in Harrison/ beilsa, get it done.
Hoping lots of behind scenes work going on and then the 3-4 players we need signed up fast.

The window isn’t even open yet mate and Gianni is only just back from euros, patience!

2.) 28 Jun 2021 09:49:14
They quoted all transfers would like to be done before end of June so they get a full pre season.

3.) 28 Jun 2021 11:23:11
Lufc 4, window been open since 9th June, 3 weeks already but should be patient.
Thought they’d have sorted beilsa contract and Harrison buy as no brainers.

4.) 28 Jun 2021 11:33:55
Harrison done for 1st of July, also, a YEP reporter has stated that no signings will be made by the start of pre season.

Conceding a few recently and think break is needed, hope can get a few back into squad.
Was Pablo dropped from squad because of his attitude last game when taken off?
Not many positives today, big one is we are in the premiership and that is amazing, 2nd is bamford finishing improving and the offside tough to take, pointing where he wanted pass.

Negatives, keeper getting beat at near post, costa and Dallas poor.
Also feel struik not a DMF, he was pedestrian today, sorry berm but you are wrong, we much better with Phillips and I think u know it. Is he the best defensive MF, no, but better with than without or until we find a better one, should have kept veira, big mistake. Let's hope Phillips back after break and be good to see Lorente play alongside of Koch.

Meltdown How can the sale of RV be a mistake when we 1. Achieved promotion without him. 2. His absence helped see the rise of KP. 3. He's reportedly available for transfer again at only a 30% increase in price than the amount we sold him for. I like RV as a player but remarking his sale was a mistake just factually incorrect.

2.) 14 Nov 2020 06:51:24
we needed the money at the time and had we not sold we would have had to sell other players and who knows what impact that would have had on the team that went up. Same with Kemar by all accounts.

Every game now going to feel tense, can't afford slip ups now.
Tough one for brom against Forrest, do we want brom to win and keep teams below at bay or can we still catch them for first.
My feeling is Forrest to beat them but we have to win next 2 at home.
Bristol invested well in window, unlike us!
They have some decent players, eliason, diedhiou, wells and have won 5 out of last 6
Going to plump for 2-0, bamford and klich.

Rumors that Leeds not getting Brewster as he has got move to Swansea, does that mean we can get Ayew to rejoin bielsa?

1.) 30 Dec 2019 20:56:33
Let's hope for Harry Kane.

2.) 03 Jan 2020 06:49:34
Now that Clarke is back with Spurs Kane should be surplus to requirements so I can see that happening Bazooka.

Time to tinker slightly with team, I would have Pablo on bench and try to rest him, play some part to keep sharp but maybe 20 mins. Don't think MB will but would like to see Izzy or bouguz in his place.
Would also drop Harrison and play either Clarke or Shackleton.
Be happy with draw against villa and then beat Ipswich, still need a point or 2 for 3rd.
Scary because other playoff teams in form but if we play at our top level can beat any of these, but can we do that over 3 games?

1.) 28 Apr 2019 07:23:23
Roofe, Alioski, Douglas all out - Leif Davis confirmed he's had surgery and is done for the year on Instagram too, while Halme, Termunzhukov + Nicell are seemingly injured too (didn't feature in last 23s game, in Halme's case a while) .

With that in mind, I think Bielsa will pick:

Casilla; Ayling, Jansson, Cooper, Dallas; Forshaw, Klich; Hernandez, Roberts, Harruison; Bamford.
Res: BPF, Phillips, Berardi, Shackleton, Clarke, Gotts, Stevens.

Others who could feature Brown, Edmondson, Diaz, Bogusz, Struijk, Odour, Hosannah.

I would personally go full strength for this game and if we're going to rest anybody do it against Ipswich, however if we do need to rest somebody then Pablo, Ayling and Pontus the obvious ones.

Love to see Shack get a start on the right wing. MOT ALAW.

2.) 30 Apr 2019 14:20:42
I dread the "same team again" statement but I think he is not a man for change. Personally I would like to see Odour for Harrison and, if necessary, Edmundson up front.

3.) 30 Apr 2019 20:21:49
We need to secure 3rd. No time for tinkering right now.

4.) 01 May 2019 11:12:40
Apparently efl brought a new rule in that teams have to play there first strong team. Was due to the dog botherers making 10 changes on the last game and affecting the relegation places. Not that it affects owt this year as the relegation places are already confirmed.

5.) 03 May 2019 20:49:00
Give the under 23’s a run out again Ipswich.

Trying for Ljbucic, seems like a direct replacement for Kamara, never heard of him but doesn't come with many goals.
We don't seem to be wanting a creative MF, maybe DF sees either Arronson or Rutter in there.
Rutter looks good but not scoring or hitting target enough, if can improve on that then all good.
Like the shouts for Cantwell, but doubt it.
Still think we crave that striker, hope MJ gets his chance but think one more in, would give us a real chance, Cam Archer on loan?

Melbourne white

1.) 26 Jul 2024 00:35:36
Did someone say Archer on loan! Would love that.

2.) 26 Jul 2024 01:26:01
wish list of 4 players/ positions (either loans or transfers to bolster team and squad)

1) a left footed LB/ LWB ( Firpo will / might get injured)
2) a specialist CAM ( even with GR and BA in squad)
3) a CF ( definitely need another CF in squad )
4) a goal scoring box to box midfielder

to get top 2 the club needs more goals from more players in squad especially IF Summerville goes ( and we would also need a goal scoring winger too to somehow replace him )

3.) 26 Jul 2024 08:09:52
Absolutely Baz.

4.) 26 Jul 2024 08:35:22
What and no goalie to replace Meslier Baz, have you finally changed your mind about him?

5.) 26 Jul 2024 10:22:04
Not at all OP

a new good or even half competent upgrade goalkeeper to replace ' Le Gash' remains on my wishlist

But when Herr Farke bizarrely gives Le Gash a vice captaincy . one knows he is staying . regrettably.

6.) 26 Jul 2024 10:43:45
If Carlsberg did transfer windows I’d be very happy with,

Anthony Patterson Gk
Burrows LB
Dejan Ljubicic CM
Gabriel Sara ACM/ Forward
Loan in Jebbison or Archer but that could be January

But this is only a Carlsberg dream window ?.

7.) 26 Jul 2024 12:18:25
Great choices class. If only Carlsberg did beer too……. ???.

8.) 26 Jul 2024 14:04:55
Is carlsberg did beer it probably would have a better rep than carlsberg!

9.) 26 Jul 2024 14:30:39
Class list that, Class haha. I definitely approve!

22 Jul 2024 23:05:36
summerville transfer talk now, would love to keep him but the temptation of the premiership be too much and think if the price is high enough they will cash in.
As said before, prefer gnoto to be sold and try convince summerville to stay.
If hammers are in for him, i'd try 30mil and max cornet to us. He is only 27 and if can keep him fit ( a concern) , he would be a fantastic replacement, a goal scoring winger.
What are people's thoughts on sammy smodics? Would he fit our system, is he in the Teumo pucki mold who did well under DF.
Think we nearly there with squad, defense seems sorted, maybe LB if firpo goes but unlikely, same for GK
If either Gnoto/ summ go, need to replace them, possibly clarke imo.
Then a quality CF.

1.) 23 Jul 2024 01:14:57
What was spam bid anybody?
Reports we want between 30-40.
Imo champ player of season has to be absolute minimum 38. Not interested in any lower.

2.) 23 Jul 2024 07:38:08
Heard they were offering in the region of £18m, which is laughable!

3.) 23 Jul 2024 08:02:00
Heard SF49ers want £40 million plus

They don't want to sell period, don't need to sell and won't sell for anything less.

I also reiterate that CS and his agent should be told that any potential sale must be concluded by a certain date or no sell.

Letting this rumble forever on and selling very late in window with no chances of any suitable available players left to replace CS is very damaging for promotion chances.

4.) 23 Jul 2024 08:07:04
Oh deary me ?? no chance.

5.) 23 Jul 2024 08:13:13
I hope it was a f… off you w…… response and not just a no.

6.) 23 Jul 2024 08:16:38
Atm Szmodics doesn't fit our system. Would change things if DF went to a 9 with two 10s behind (Szmodics being one of said 10s) . Would fit then, but I'd still be hesitant about paying good money for a soon-to-be 29 year old who's only ever had one good season at this level in his 11 year career. Very little resale value as well if it doesn't work out.

7.) 23 Jul 2024 08:38:48
Bang on that, Baz.

Also, if Cry stays, don't wanna hear about him being selfish ever again. It's clear he could ask for a transfer request and force a move given all the interest, but doesn't look like that's happening.

8.) 23 Jul 2024 09:26:00
Agree Dill, Szmodics would be a poor signing for us.

9.) 23 Jul 2024 11:39:22
One good season in 11 Sammi is chris chris fave player somehow

Makes sense Dill a big no . and fortunately Leeds aren't interested in him.

10.) 23 Jul 2024 11:58:45
Yes Dill I’ve seen several posts on here berating Summerville in the past for his poor attitude, what poor attitude?
Just a very confident young professional footballer who wants to do well for himself and his club.

11.) 23 Jul 2024 12:13:34
Can see he could be a Piroe 2.0 in buying a goalscorer that doesn’t fit your current system.

And as Baz knows I very much prefer the championship over the epl, but it does beg the question IF Joseph who everyone agrees is a fantastic prospect is not prolific in front of goal.

Remember that fateful game against Blackburn we had 75% possession 19 shots but never looked like scoring he gets one in the 82nd minute and we lose the game.

Dill makes an even better point that it’s his first year of scoring that number of goals, but what did we pay for Rodrigo? Rutter £30 million plus.

Converting £25million into a £250 million return is not bad business, me I’m happy to wait and see how young Joseph goes I think he’s a fantastic prospect but I would not be surprised if the board went after Sammy Szmodics.

12.) 23 Jul 2024 13:21:49
I'm with ya there Class. Would like a bench option too if we can get a loan in. Don't trust Bamford to stay fit anymore. And don't wanna keep giving Piroe boots while he's down, but yeah, he's just not a good fit for us.

Rutter pretty unique circumstances. We had January tax and a divvy DoF who loved overpaying. Was always promising prospect though. 17 goal involvements (11G, 6A) before the age of 20. GI every 167 mins in the Bundesliga.

13.) 23 Jul 2024 15:12:26
From the training vids I’ve seen Bambi is laughable. Sack him now. Vid of him stretching his legs my granny could do better. Just don’t get it. Is he just smarter than whole training and management team. . Really annoying me now. Guy is milking this ??.

14.) 23 Jul 2024 15:58:09
Not me OP. I love ❤️ the young man.

15.) 23 Jul 2024 16:36:43
Hello all I’m back after a heartbreaking playoff and worst euros I can remember.

Loving the leeds away kit and the way we are going about our business

I don’t see how Sammy don’t fit our system? For a start no one knows what our system is. Farke has lined up 343 with wingbacks so far and Sammy would suit that and if staying with farkes preferred line up Sammy would be more inverted which is like what farke used at Norwich.

Sammy’s great at closing down and got good numbers in a poor team

I do t think we are after him but if we are I think he’s a very good shout.

16.) 23 Jul 2024 17:39:23
Welcome back Bermo pal!

17.) 23 Jul 2024 18:18:58
Lets assume DFs system is A. The one he used all last season or B. 343/ 3421. Either of those DF used he isn't a good fit for. Unless that 2 both became 10s rather than playing towards the wing or in the half spaces.

Szmodics needs bodies closely around him to make his game work.

In a perfect world I would prefer Szmodics to Piroe, but thing is we already have a Piroe and their profiles are largely similar. What's the point buying another, much older player with a similar profile for north of £10m. Money could be spent better elsewhere.

18.) 23 Jul 2024 18:49:27
Berma welcome back

any Bermo " wisdom' ? as to how in your opinion DF " best Champo manager ever "

and also in your opinion " best Leeds United Manager ever" ?

Messed up top2 ( to your faves Ipswich Gonners ) and then messed up playoffs

Hmm ?.

19.) 23 Jul 2024 19:28:18
Dill I think there’s a good chance we will use the wing backs more as lots moaned we didn’t mix it up enough last season so he’d work for that

I also think he’ll work in plan a what we used last season. Leeds used width well last year but at Norwich farke used bendia and cantwell both of whom are more like Sammy and the yank who is back with us so think either plan a or b would work with Sammy and some adaptations sad thing is I think that means Summerville gone which will break my heart.

20.) 23 Jul 2024 21:38:27
So no dodgy excuses from you Berma for last season

. thought as much.

21.) 23 Jul 2024 22:05:17
I do rate him mate, but to me he is a system specific player. Don't think he'd translate as well to a more possession dominant team or playing further out wide. He thrived off of Balckburns tactics of soaking up pressure and hitting counters, along with himself, Dolan and Gallagher basically being interchangeable in a triangle. If we do go to a similar formation with the two 10s then I'd be more receptive to the idea (if he's cheap enough. £10m+ too much for a guy turning 29 and having one good season at this level) . Just not at present, but we'll see what DF shows us next friendly as I am intrigued how he's going to set us up.

22.) 23 Jul 2024 23:10:32
That’s fair enough Dillinger and I can certainly see your point. I don’t think we are after him anyway but if we lose summerville which o hood we don’t I can see us going for more inverted number tens rather than out and out wingers.

23.) 24 Jul 2024 04:00:40
Yh we need players who can play in the half spaces rather than line huggers. Will give them more of a licence to roam/ free role, with WBs providing most of the width.

I think if we keep both Cry and Rutter we'll see them take up those roles (Rutter in the right half space, Cry on the left) as both excel in the half spaces. For me, Cry becomes more effective in that area than sat out wide leaving him only the one option to cut in. Allows him the option to go both ways (and Firpo to over and underlap) , which he doesn't get when he sits wide and teams double up on him.

Can see Rutter being an absolute menace in the right half space.

I'm excited! And fwiw I am optimistic and expecting Cry to stay!

16 Jul 2024 03:00:09
Sheff utd doing decent business, think they on verge of getting O'hare and Keither Moore.
Looks like we're still looking at sales before buys/ loans.
Next to go will be Kamara, 8.5m is not a bad return but need to keep Gruev now, his potential departure seems to have gone quiet and liked his game last season, will it be gruev and Amps in the middle?
.
I would definitely try tempt Skipp, history with DF and still only 23y/ o, maybe a loan to buy?
Maybe he not interested in champ again, but would get lots of games and with a potential promotion favorite team.
He doesn't score many but i rate him, him and Gruev in midfield be strong, then possibly play Amps with rodon again at CBs and struijk LB

Still think gnoto and Summerville will be gone, perfect world, we keep Summerville for this season but happy to sell gnoto for 25+
I'd then splash out on Jack clarke, be around 15mil, worth that but young, looks stronger and a decent player now. Clarke, James and Summerville fighting it out be great.

Rumors Bogle from Sheff, not seen much of him but definitely need a RB, then we have Byram as cover. Hope they can send Kristiansen out on loan again.
LB still seems unclear, is Firpo staying, will he play struijk at LB, is wober coming back?
Another grey area is GK, think meslier will still be with us, i'd happily sell but other options getting limited. I was one on here who was happy and touting Darlow to come to us, he did but did look shaky, still think he ok.
Has brendan arronsen come back, is he training with leeds now? Hopefully we can off load but looking unlikely, will he be better in championship, maybe?
Finally, desperately need that creative MF and striker.
Agree with Dill, Go get Archer on loan, think he could be a fantastic player for us.
Could we not get a team to take Bamford, either loan or sell
Just over 3 weeks till KO, hopefully now Euros over things will happen.

Melbourne white

1.) 16 Jul 2024 05:51:52
I read somewhere yestrday its looking like one out one in ?

We don't need to play Amps at CB again. He did a good job last season, but that was out of necessity and it left us wanting in midfield. He's one of our only press resistant guys in there now Kamara is going. We need him in there.

I'm meh on Gruev. Ten a penny what he can do these days. The most easily replaceable out of our midfield, imo.

I think keep Firpo for LB. He had a good season for us. Not heard much regarding suitors for him, so may force our hand that we keep him anyway.

Mes and Bamford likely staying as well ?‍♂️

I like Bogle for us. Plus it weakens a rival.

Looking at it, I think the defence is settled once Bogle comes.

Meslier (Darlow, Cairns)

Firpo (Wober, Byram)
Struijk (Wober)
Rodon (Wober, Debayo? )
Bogle (Kristensen, Byram)

As things stand in midfield and attack:

Gruev
Ampadu
Rothwell
Crew
Kamara replacement (another loan? )
Chambers?

Cry
Gnonto (likeliest to go imo)
James
Rutter
Aaronsen?

Joseph
Bamford
Piroe (hopefully sold and replaced with Archer)

Probably not far off the finished squad if we retain most of these players. definitely two, hopefully three more incoming, imo.

Let's see what happens ?.

2.) 16 Jul 2024 14:35:27
I’m not sure Villa want to let Archer go to a Championship club unless it’s a loan deal.
But don’t you think our own Joseph is as good a choice as Archer? Archer certainly has potential but he is unproven no different from Joseph.
The club would be saving 18Mil or whatever Villa want for him.
I’ve heard some views from Villa fans, they feel he’d be better off as a winger rather than a striker, too lightweight in their estimation.

3.) 16 Jul 2024 16:07:24
Archer is way further along in his progression than MJ and is more than proven at Champo level mate. He's had two loans there already. 18 goals and 7 assists, equating to a GI ever 120mins. Joseph has just started getting minutes last season (although I do think he's due a breakout season this year)

Would be a loan if we got him. Obligation to buy if certain conditions are met (ie; promotion)

Probabky because he's pacey, but I assure you, he's most definitely a CF, especially from what I've seen whilst watching him for the article I just wrote (covered what he offers for us in there) . He's heavily involved in the box, always thinking about moving towards the goal, quality at running the channels, a composed finisher and he's a brilliant presser from the front. Everything we need from a CF. He does all the good bits that we like Bamford for, but he's an exponentially better finisher without injury woes.

Be a top top signing for Champo.

11 Jul 2024 23:54:22
Woody, thanks for tip, S- Wilko won, will put winnings on Leeds for champions.

Melbourne white

1.) 12 Jul 2024 02:44:04
6/ 1 winner ?.
Told you Sgt Wilko would win.

2.) 12 Jul 2024 06:53:20
You won’t be getting much on your return for Leeds winning the Championship Baz. Early betting end of May i saw 5/ 1 and 6/ 1, now it’s more like 7/ 2
Championship betting is notoriously difficult, anyone got their ideas for the three to be promoted?
The odds are on Leeds, Burnley and Luton naturally, any outside bets worth a ponder. ?

3.) 12 Jul 2024 06:59:14
Leeds luton I am hoping.
Any one from burnley hull Brom or Coventry prob.

4.) 12 Jul 2024 07:35:22
I'm feeling optimistic about our chances and although the team isn't 100% sorted yet for the new campaign with the uncertainty surrounding Summerville and Gnonto and a few others, either way I'm sure when the season kicks off we'll have one of if not the best 11 in the championship.

I think Shef Wed and QPR will be dark horses for the top 6 and you can't underestimate the teams coming up from league 1 but fingers crossed Leeds United Championship winners 2024/ 25 will be written on our roll of honour next May.

5.) 12 Jul 2024 08:21:37
Real outsiders, Blunts and Sunderland for me. Cov definitely in the mix. (Inc playoffs)

6.) 12 Jul 2024 09:03:39
Nice one, chaps ?.

7.) 12 Jul 2024 09:27:51
Stoke may be a surprise package under Schumacher who I rate as a good passing football coach.

QPR could make playoffs too.

8.) 12 Jul 2024 12:16:42
Watch out for the ?? this season. They have an amazing coach.

9.) 12 Jul 2024 12:38:46
To be honest there could be some surprises and be very open

Top 3 will come from

Burnley, Luton, Leeds, Baggies Coventry, Hull, Stoke, Norwich, QPR, Boro, Sunderland, . maybe another club

Covering my bases Baz guarantee.

10.) 12 Jul 2024 14:46:43
Baz, even if you haven’t mentioned any team I’m sure you will own whoever gets in there! ?.

11.) 12 Jul 2024 17:14:53
You know me too well Woody ☺.

12.) 12 Jul 2024 20:18:14
Named half the league ?.

13.) 12 Jul 2024 20:46:58
Yes Dill " sure thing " ?.

08 Jul 2024 06:55:33
Frustrating how slow things happen in LUFC transfer windows.
Must be hard for Farke, not really knowing who's potentially leaving, always seems to be last minute.
DF could have a very different team come mid August and that's tough.
Could still be 4- 5 players leaving, if rumors true, may not have Meslier, Firpo, Cresswell, Kamara, Rutter, Summerville and Gnoto.
Think of the above, we'll still have Rutter and Gnoto, think all others be sold.
Then need time to replace and integrate to his system, bumpy road ahead.

Melbourne white

1.) 08 Jul 2024 07:50:30
Yeah. It’s not ideal so much movement.
I think we will still have Rutter and unfortunately mez too. Think the rest will go.
Should buy new players now. Balance the books later this window or January.
Give Farke settled team for training.
We 3-1 fav for some reason.
If we looking at a cb albeit left footed dosent give you much confidence it their ability to prioritise.

2.) 08 Jul 2024 09:47:28
In fairness there's only been 30 deals done this window so far in the Champo.

16 being outgoings out of the league.

14 being incoming.

Biggest signings have been Rodon to Leeds, Giles (Luton-Hull) , Rudoni (Hudds-Cov) whereas as Hull have lost Ozan Tufan, Burnley have lost Charlie Taylor, Watford have lost Ismael Kone and we sold Archie.

Not much else impactful so far. Slow window for everyone atm.

3.) 08 Jul 2024 11:14:51
The transfer market is like a snowball effect for all leagues.
More than likely the UEFA tournament is holding up a large part of that process. I expect that chain effect of transfers to begin from the 15th and onwards.

4.) 08 Jul 2024 16:56:18
Aha that ole cliche propaganda chestnut OP
on behalf of your beloved Angus ?.

5.) 08 Jul 2024 17:53:22
Keep your powder dry boys. Very few actually know what is going on behind the scenes. Keep the faith.

6.) 08 Jul 2024 18:00:29
Reality is, all over the EFL and EPL, for those players, their contracts ended 5 working days ago. Lots of players hopeful of being retained / lots of clubs trying to retain players who want to leave / getting rid of those they don't want. On top of that the Euro's are on, so doing any kind of real business is difficult at best.

Leeds on top of that are dealing with the "loan" players and we have to accept that until there is more certainly around that mess, its doubly-difficult to know what we have to spend, who is staying, who definitely isn't [and that's just the loans! ]. Take Wober for example, is he staying, being sold, going out on loan? - until that's known, we can hardly go out a buy another CB. or even afford another CB probably.

Always easy to be an armchair critic; try taking on the responsibility and be answerable for finding, buying / selling / loaning / staying within spending limits / maintaining a salary structure.

7.) 08 Jul 2024 18:22:44
Fair enough Ani on some points

BUT with

Just the 32 days to go to Pompey it therefore promises to be another haphazard start to season.

8.) 08 Jul 2024 19:03:54
It's the same for most clubs in prem and championship those that have been involved in international games are still on hols and the bulk of the business will start when everyone is back at pre season. Until full squads are available we won't seem mass movement. I am sure we have targets but none or few of the lads that have gone had much to do in the first team. You could even argue that if our rb situation had been better archie might have had less to do in the first team.

We have rodon. Aranson has returned. Charlie and his 21s mate have joined the squad. Struijk is back.
We still have the spine of the team from last year. Just a few good additions needed.

love the potential players Dill, pity board aren’t reading your posts.
This is the type of goal scoring/ creative MF we desperately have needed for a few seasons.

agree Aus, think we’ll have to sell cre and gnoto and i’d be ok with letting Mes go, think be around 60-70 for those 3 but need to invest some back.
i’d also see if Spurs would look at gray, give us rodon and skipp and 20 mil.
