Just watching the Barcelona v Newcastle game.

Got to say, how bloody lucky were we to have had Raphinha for those 2 seasons?
He’s a joy to watch.

Imagine if we could have had him and Pablo in the same team in their prime. πŸ”₯

King Pablo and Raphinha, what a dream combo.

Baz has tiptoed through the minefield and is back again.
Oh, Christ, no. 🀣
What an end to the season this is going to be?!

Lol, OP..

"Lucky horseshoe Baz" is back to rescue our slightly flagging season!.

As a result, Leeds United are now 96% sure of staying up!.

Roll on my prediction for a huge must Win guaranteed 3 points for Super Leeds vs Brentford this Saturday!.

Welcome back, Baz.

18 Mar 2026 21:24:16
Oh God. Does this mean the ban is lifted, Baz, or have you just found a way to sneak back on?

Cheers, Corky
Been some fab UCL results yesterday and tonight; always pleasing when Galatasaray get thrashed.

We really need to go for it in our last 4 home games. Proper gung ho styley.

100% Corkey!

So Chelsea escape a points deduction for committing some of the most serious breaches of the rules in PL history, yet for far less breaches, Everton and Forest get points deducted. What does that say about the integrity of the PL?

Right answer Ed!

18 Mar 2026 01:06:25
Being a Devil's advocate, Chelsea and the PL would say that the offences were committed when Chelsea were under the ownership of Abramovich, and that, when the current owners took over, they unearthed the illegal payments, and reported themselves to the PL. This, they would say, qualifies the current ownership for more lenient treatment.

They would also say that, even if the illegal payments had been included in Chelsea's accounts, they would still not have breached PSR rules.
I say if you've done the crime you should do the time.

18 Mar 2026 07:34:29
So, are you of the belief Bohly's Blues should be liable for Abramovich's blues wrongdoing?

Comment a bit unclear on your point, imo.

1

18 Mar 2026 09:42:26
It's still Chelsea Football Club no matter who owns them. The club players and agents benefited, not the owners.

1

18 Mar 2026 11:03:25
That's probably not how the law works. In this instance, I assume Aus, is it? Unless Bohly partook in wrongdoing, he cannot be legally responsible for Roman's s****.

Same if you sold me a motor, and I committed a crime with it, are you responsible?

I understand due diligence, but I would imagine any wrongdoing was buried under 100 tons of financial jargon.

Anii probably right man to advise us about n this. 🀣

In my view, Chris, they got the 'punishment' the wrong way round. Instead of a fine and no points deduction, it should've been a points deduction and no fine. Chelsea are in the position they're in now partly as a result of the 'crimes' committed during the Abramovich era, so a modest points deduction, say 6 points, would have been appropriate.

Fining the current owners for the actions of their predecessors might seem inappropriate, but it does fit with UK company law, where, if you take over another company, you inherit all their liabilities as well as their assets.

They are crooks in disguise. FA are just as bad. It's doomed and needs replacing.

It seems LUFC are petitioning to get Gabby Agbonklewhore appointed as referee on Saturday in the hope of getting less biased decisions.

Let's hope Hull get promoted this season as this would increase the fee we'd get for Geldhart. 12-15 million I reckon if they go up.

17 Mar 2026 18:48:57
Win win, Corkey, as I fancy us beating them next season as well. πŸ‘

18 Mar 2026 19:45:35
Knowing our luck, if we did play them, Joffy would likely get a hat trick against us.

So the KMI Panel have decided today that a mistake was made by VAR for not giving us a penalty against Sunderland when Struick was rugby tackled. The same panel have found that Arsenal should have had three penalties given against them that weren't, against Everton, Chelsea, and Brighton. It's not good enough and can have massive repercussions.

17 Mar 2026 18:07:51
Too true, Feath.

Let's just hope the decision/s against us this season don't come back to bite us!

What about the handball in the same match?

17 Mar 2026 19:17:44
They won't admit that as well, Canada.

17 Mar 2026 19:49:58
VAR got something wrong!
Who would have thought!
These things, over a season, even themselves out. But if it happens in the last few games yer buggered.

1

17 Mar 2026 19:52:18
I hate blaming bad luck, but we've had a s**** load of it lately.

1

17 Mar 2026 22:12:53
Not correct at all, Ben.
People assume it does, but not so. Even in an un-biased system, it doesn't, as proven by the ridiculous number of times we are drawn away in cups. Every Cup game is a 50:50 (it's irrelevant what has happened previously) , but the facts show it doesn't even out for everyone.

In the EPL, the money is so big that not working out evenly can unfairly cost someone hundreds of millions.
I have no issue with refs getting things wrong sometimes. They have split seconds to make a call in a high-paced game, but VAR has no excuses!

2

18 Mar 2026 01:16:44
I was worse than just VAR getting it wrong. They consciously decided not to even look at it. It was not just incompetence, but actively deciding to disapply their own rules. If that was not a "clear and obvious error", my name is Donald Duck. πŸ¦†

Having watched Brentford v Wolves last night, I don't think we will be far off getting a result on Saturday night.
If we can remain solid against them and press them, they will give chances.
Plus Damsgaard went off injured.
We are having a dip at the moment. Dcl not scoring. Aaronson hasn't got the same zip to his play as of late. Gabby is missing someone else on the left to link with.

We are staying solid with no end product.
Even the long throws and our resurgence at corners has gone flat.
But better a slight dip now than one in the last few games.
We need some goals!
If we had scored 1 v Palace we would have probably won.
And if Johnson had got the 3 yellows he deserved we should have won.

17 Mar 2026 14:01:57
We badly need a win of any description this Saturday, but to score 2, 3, or more goals and avoid another nerve shredding 90 mins would be absolutely brilliant.

3

17 Mar 2026 14:45:04
We need to better or equal the points of one of the 3 teams under us.
But a comfortable end to the season with some good wins would be nice.

Very surprised we got a point at Selhurst point. Didn't expect it at half time. We were much tighter the second half and good going forward for the first ten minutes or so. We still couldn't score and our problem remains the same. If we are set up to be for moving forward at pace we are usually shaky at the back. Even in that formation we have scored for quite a while and we have lost. If we set up to be tighter at the back we can usually not concede more than one and occasionally get a clean sheet.

We still don't score but occasionally on recent form we get the draw. We are much better when Okafor is up there with DCL but without him DCL is definitely not going to be part of a goal scoring combination. He is so much like Bamford in many respects. Both are hopeless in front of goal but like the old cactus they can flower every seven years! As everyone is saying it's going to be touch and go whether we stay up. If we don't start scoring regularly (2 or more a game) it's not looking good.

Not sure about anyone else but the upcoming international break has me worried.
We have picked up too many injuries on these breaks and I still remember how the Welsh boys all came back a mess after not qualifying a while back.

Took them weeks to get back to normal levels.
Knowing our luck everyone possible will get a call up and we'll be messed up as a result.

2

16 Mar 2026 21:51:35
Fingers crossed for all of em!

17 Mar 2026 06:08:46
I have been thinking the same for a while. I hope history doesn't repeat. If you remember, we played Palace (at home) just before as well. At least that outcome wasn't the same.
