Tin hat firmly in place, but given the scenario we face and points required, does anyone believe thereβs a case to be made that we take an FA Cup approach to our remaining away games?
And save our strongest possible team for the remaining home fixtures?
I remain undecided but I could be tempted given our current situation.
20 Mar 2026 10:31:59
Maybe not like the last round of the cup, with ten odd changes, but definitely, one hundred percent. π― Make changes and utilize the squad.
Tanaka, Willie, Piroe, Longstaff and James are some players who can step in.
20 Mar 2026 10:42:21
Said we have to pick our battles. Some we should win. Full on squad 2 up front. Some we prob won't. Swap and change. The ones in the middle. Start full on but be ready to change at the earliest possible opportunity. It's called game management, I believe. So, with you class and corks. Whether Farke is, remains to be seen.
20 Mar 2026 11:22:53
Got to be playing the best team available, and 3 5 2 formation for all remaining 8 matches, both home and away.
For me, the biggest concern is Farke setting up teams not to lose (rather than trying to win) . Just one win away from home is a bottom 3 stat.
And please play in our White kit away vs West Ham, Bournemouth and Man U.
In the past three EPL seasons, we have only ever won once away from home (Brentford away 21/22) , not playing in our famous white shirts. there have been sooooo many defeats in those awful uninspiring away kits.

Forest and Palace both through. Palace are surely safe in the Premier League, but Forest, after playing extra time and additional European games to come, must be under some pressure. Spurs have been abysmal but their performance against Liverpool, and a win last night makes me think they might be getting their act together.
The crowd certainly seemed to be behind the team rather than walking out early. Hopefully we have a win on Saturday, then it will be interesting on Sunday when Spurs host Forest and the pressure is on.

I see Stach made the German squad.
Happy, not happy.
19 Mar 2026 17:49:11.
Good news, potentially!
As international recognition will/should increase Stach's self-confidence, transfer resale value, and improve his game.
With the caveat, though, that hopefully Stach steers clear of any injury on international duty.
And, oh yes.. pleeeeaaaase, can Mr Farke, crucially from now on, designate preferably Stach or Nmecha on penalty taking duties (not DCL!) . Cheers.

Just watching the Barcelona v Newcastle game.
Got to say, how bloody lucky were we to have had Raphinha for those 2 seasons?
Heβs a joy to watch.
Imagine if we could have had him and Pablo in the same team in their prime. π₯
18 Mar 2026 19:36:34
King Pablo and Raphinha, what a dream combo.
18 Mar 2026 20:01:43

18 Mar 2026 07:30:56
100% Corkey!
17 Mar 2026 18:32:08
So Chelsea escape a points deduction for committing some of the most serious breaches of the rules in PL history, yet for far less breaches, Everton and Forest get points deducted. What does that say about the integrity of the PL?
{Ed025's Note - it says it has none Feath..
17 Mar 2026 19:15:41
Right answer Ed!
18 Mar 2026 01:06:25
Being a Devil's advocate, Chelsea and the PL would say that the offences were committed when Chelsea were under the ownership of Abramovich, and that, when the current owners took over, they unearthed the illegal payments, and reported themselves to the PL. This, they would say, qualifies the current ownership for more lenient treatment.
They would also say that, even if the illegal payments had been included in Chelsea's accounts, they would still not have breached PSR rules.
I say if you've done the crime you should do the time.
18 Mar 2026 07:34:29
So, are you of the belief Bohly's Blues should be liable for Abramovich's blues wrongdoing?
Comment a bit unclear on your point, imo.
18 Mar 2026 09:42:26
It's still Chelsea Football Club no matter who owns them. The club players and agents benefited, not the owners.
18 Mar 2026 11:03:25
That's probably not how the law works. In this instance, I assume Aus, is it? Unless Bohly partook in wrongdoing, he cannot be legally responsible for Roman's s****.
Same if you sold me a motor, and I committed a crime with it, are you responsible?
I understand due diligence, but I would imagine any wrongdoing was buried under 100 tons of financial jargon.
18 Mar 2026 12:31:34
Anii probably right man to advise us about n this. π€£
18 Mar 2026 17:09:55
In my view, Chris, they got the 'punishment' the wrong way round. Instead of a fine and no points deduction, it should've been a points deduction and no fine. Chelsea are in the position they're in now partly as a result of the 'crimes' committed during the Abramovich era, so a modest points deduction, say 6 points, would have been appropriate.
Fining the current owners for the actions of their predecessors might seem inappropriate, but it does fit with UK company law, where, if you take over another company, you inherit all their liabilities as well as their assets.
18 Mar 2026 17:51:53
They are crooks in disguise. FA are just as bad. It's doomed and needs replacing.
17 Mar 2026 14:46:56
It seems LUFC are petitioning to get Gabby Agbonklewhore appointed as referee on Saturday in the hope of getting less biased decisions.
17 Mar 2026 13:02:06
Let's hope Hull get promoted this season as this would increase the fee we'd get for Geldhart. 12-15 million I reckon if they go up.
17 Mar 2026 18:48:57
Win win, Corkey, as I fancy us beating them next season as well. π
18 Mar 2026 19:45:35
Knowing our luck, if we did play them, Joffy would likely get a hat trick against us.
