Apart from Mr Farke, does anybody on this forum think that anybody in an influential position knows anything about football? Sorry meant soccer!

I seem to recall that in his interview on LUTV, Maranthe said he’d been following the game since he was young, Pete Lowy’s been a Leeds fan since he was a kid growing up in Oz and his Dad ran a football team then ran the Aussie football association. And of course, Kinnear has been involved in the running of various football clubs for at least 18 years. Additionally, Nick Hammond was a professional GK in the lower leagues (mainly as second/ third choice) but has been involved in technical/ director roles since 2000 and Gretar Steinsson was a professional footballer for 15 seasons (including 3 at Bolton) and capped by Iceland 46 times before moving into technical/ director roles in 2018. But apart from that, no-one in an influential position knows a huge amount about football.

how many times have we heard commentators say that Leeds don't deserve to be behind - we play pretty stuff but lack physicality right through the team.

We completely lack physicality to compete and upset our opponents. We love tippy tappy football which looks great - until our opponents score - then we get bullied.

While I understand that Raphs agent is trying to earn a crust by creating a deal for his client away from Leeds, How can a contracted player personally state he wants to leave without any sanction?

Has he actually said he wants to leave. Lots of clickbait media saying he has, but that could either be them mischief making or Deco suggesting he wants to leave - or both.
From what I’ve seen, in interviews Raphinha has been responding to questions about his future just by saying that’s in the hands of Leeds and Deco, until there’s anything that requires him to make a decision - and at which point he will take into consideration how much playing time he’s likely to get ahead of Qatar. He knows he’ll be a starter at Leeds, so if anything he’s indicating that despite all the media noise he is by no means certain to be leaving Leeds this summer - which is definitely not saying he wants out.

Agree clueless.
He will want guaranteed start time to World Cup but he would prob get that in most teams.
Still think his heart is set on Barcelona who can’t afford him so we either keep him until freebie or hope he has an amazing World Cup and Madrid or psg offer 100 mill.

Nowt less than £70m will get us to sell. In the current climate, I see that as unlikely. Barcelona can realistically only sell to buy, and if they don’t do that, all they can afford is a small new potatoe.

its always difficult in January when Players and Agents don't know who will be in charge at end of season. If MB walks away (and he will) I'm concerned about the next window - Big names will go as well and a rebuilding will be necessary - so much for steady and continuous development.

Completely agree with you, but don't forget to add Bielsa and the coaching team to the escape party at the end of the season. we'll be back to square one probably.

I think Bielsa made a tactical error after Spurs equalised - Up to then we were doing Ok with an understrength team. Immediately after the equaliser we bought on Firpo for Forshaw and played musical chairs with Kal, Pascal and others. This led to us losing our way and went onto the back foot. If Forshaw was not injured why take him off?
